PSA to those who are on Daylight Savings Time. This is the weekend to change the clocks back an hour. It will be dark at 6:30 instead of 7:30, I hate that.

Good morning, sunny and 64 today. I may do the lawn for what I hope (again) is the last time.

I got the cat house together and out to the deck by myself while waiting for Summer. It took her forever to get here. I came back in and the power had gone on and off, so I reset everything. She had stopped at Sheetz to vacuum out the truck but their vac's weren't working. So she went to Loves and their pumps and registers were down. There were elec trucks on our road and we found out there had been an electrical fire.

We went to get the chair and while waiting for them to get it out of the warehouse and unbox it, I found a set of lamps I fell in love with , 50% off for the pair, so I grabbed them. It wasn't easy but we managed to find a video on You Tube on how to get the back off Don's power lift chair, so we could carry it outside in 2 pieces. It was heavy! We got the new one out of the truck and brought it in, and then got Don's chair into her truck so she could take it home. We were both exhausted after carrying both chairs.

I got to sit in my chair for all of 15 minutes before the tivo decided it wanted to play games and keep going off. I got up to reset the box, and when I turned around, 2 of the cats were snuggled together in the chair asleep, lol. No one wanted to sit in his chair, but they confiscated mine in 10 minutes. They were still there when I got up this morning. I woke up to the clocks flashing again, and had to reset everything. I go to feed the cats and it goes off yet again. I'm tired of resetting everything. So far it's stayed on, so we'll see.

Once it warms up I'm going to put a coat of outdoor polyurethane on the cat house and then unbox the second one.

Bobbiwoz Thinking of you and hope you things are going well and you are getting better.

Good morning. It is 46 now with temps going into the 50s. My kind of weather. I plan to go walk at the lake in a bit. I have been out to breakfast, cleaned the bathrooms, and got trash out. After the lake I plan to clean the wood floors and get things together for my trip coming up next week. Don't need much so easy to get ready for. This afternoon I may make a trip to Lowe's to look at dining room lamps and look around a bit. I do not plan to watch the news at all for quite a while. Hallmark movies and old comedies are on my list. I am so tired of all the nastiness on both sides and just want a rest from it all. Agree to disagree and move on.

Old sitcoms are pretty much what I watch. The news is too gruesome. If something I don't want any part of comes on I mute and take a bathroom break, lol. I used to watch British stuff but it seems to be few and far between. I don't get into the drama stuff.

I'll have to set my stove clock and my car clock. Car has a setting for 'day light savings' and whatever the others are. There's a whole list!

I've been busy moving stuff away from the windows to make my three feet of space, and using it as my reason to ban things from my home. Off to the thrift store. In the process I'm doing a deep clean and getting rid of things still here I don't need. I have a 7 foot tall armoire full of clothing I haven't needed in at least 3 years. Most of it will go to the thrift Monday or Tuesday.

Home Depot is scheduled for Monday but may come Friday. Son in law comes tomorrow to resize two window openings. Home Depot will install existing window replacements, but won't physically resize anything. DD said I should have got her guy from a few years ago. She didn't have that advice until after I signed a contract, lol.

And the reason I started this post: the cats in your chair. If I sit in any chair, that's where my cats want to sleep after I get up. If I rearrange a chair or couch, now they test it in the new position. They are so funny!

I just go and start the process of sitting to evict them so I can relax a bit. (I would never actually sit on them, I just let them know whose spot it is.)

Amen to praying for a peaceful and quick election end! It's a cooler day out here but no rain. Waiting for a couple of Amazon packages. I'm extra grateful to God, dad stayed home today. @flyingdumbo127 thank you! After today’s contrast CT scan there are still many questions. Even after a week of draining it is just as large. They want to look at whatever is next to it. That will be Monday I believe.

Good evening everyone. It was a bit chilly here today but supposed to go back to near 80 on tuesday. We have had no measurable rain for over a month but I will bet that changes soon, I took my car to the car wash today. It was dirty and needed a vacuum as well.

I had a Home Depot delivery scheduled for between 10 and 2 today. They showed up at 7 AM. I was not happy. I wanted the time slot I chose as I knew my neighbors car would be gone and my grandson would be here for the delivery. Thankfully I got up at 7 to shower and head downstairs. I saw the text after the shower. My grandson was able to get the wood inside but the 64 deck boards are still in the driveway. I need to pull up far enough not to hang over into the street but that means I am slightly over the deck boards which were expensive. I went to the store and complained. I didn't know if they could do anything but I was really upset by the situation. The manager was really nice and sent two workers with a hand jack which is similar to a fork lift. Unfortunately they were only able to move the stack about an 1" forward. They didn't want to risk damaging the boards. I still have 3 to be delivered special order so I may get the stack moved a little further forward then. Thankfully this is only going to be for a week as the deck is being rebuilt next Saturday. I keep telling myself this will all be over soon and I will like it when it's done.

Tomorrow would have been my maternal grandmother's birthday. She always told us that there were 3 holidays in a row: All Saint's Day, All Soul's Day and her Birthday. We weren't as close as my other grandmother and I but she did teach me a lesson in manners I will NEVER forget. My grandparents owned a bakery in South Philly. I could have anything I wanted but I had to ask, say please and thank you. When I was about 8 or 9 I took ONE cookie without asking permission. I was banned for a week. I never made that mistake again. She was a stickler for manners and I taught the same manners to my grandkids.

Not much else going on around here. Halloween decorations are down and it's that lull til I can put out the Christmas decorations. I am looking for some new things to put in the new doors and windows. They will be in right around Thanksgiving. I'll have a whole new house soon LOL.

Good morning. Chilly here at 31 with temps heading into the low 50s. If I go to the kids' soccer games I will be sure to have my heavy fleece on. Last week the temp was the same with a chilly breeze and I was so cold.

Good morning. Yesterday was a day from you know where. Woke up to flashing clocks and a power hiccup. Reset everything and 15 minutes later it went off and on again. Seems okay now, but resetting everything is a pain. I mowed the lawn and called Dave to come and take the mower deck off so we can clean it. He'll do it as soon as he can. I cut the peony's back to the ground and cleaned up a bit around the yard.

I found a flea on one of my cats (none of them go outside) so all 6 of them got flea baths last night. Amazingly I didn't end up with any scratches, and 2 of them have never had baths before. That left me with a sore back from leaning over the tub, and a dozen towels to wash. I sprinkled borax on the carpets and let it sit and then vacuumed it, and dumped the dirt container into a plastic bag and threw it in the trash. Ordered some Capstar for the fleas, and after I get it tomorrow I'll give it to them, and then lock them in my room for 2 hours while I set off flea foggers. I'm not fooling around with fleas. Haven't had one in this house in 3 years. 3 of them had none this morning, the others had a few so I combed them again. I may give them all baths again tomorrow.
Then last night I sit down to watch tv (not in my new chair, because 3 cats had already claimed it, lol) and went to my list of recorded shows. I noticed that 5 of them were missing. I hadn't deleted them, they weren't in the deleted folder, they were just gone. Which should be impossible because they're stored in the cable company's cloud.

After 25 minutes on the phone with them, they can't explain what happened. The guy kept insisting someone else must have deleted them. I told him my cats haven't learned how to operate a remote so no one deleted them. He sent me a link for a virtual thing so he could see my tv. I showed him the deleted folder, they weren't there. He had me check all the settings for the box, and they were all where they should be (of course they are, they've been the same since the box was put in). So they're coming to put a new box in on Thursday. I've never had an issue with the box in the bedroom, this will be the 4'th one in 2 years for the living room. They had the nerve to tell me I would be charged $99 for a service call. I said I'm not paying a service call for your faulty equipment. Either bring me a new box with no charge or you can take both boxes out and I'll cut the cord. They couldn't say 'no charge' fast enough.

Today had better be quiet, I can't take another day like yesterday

It's not so far. I got a call from an unknown number, but it was close to the cable co one. I called back and got 'advanced technical support', but they told me they couldn't pull up my account and had no idea why they had called, to call Customer Care. I do, and get a guy who says I don't have any service call scheduled. After 20 min of back and forth, he says he'll go reschedule it, and never comes back. I call again, and get a different guy, who brings up the account, but says there's no service call. Then how do I have a confirmation and a job#? He goes to ask a someone else, and finds out that the call was cancelled, no idea why, maybe by mistake. Then why didn't I get an email telling me it was cancelled. Another 20 min on the phone with this guy, and he goes and reinstates the call, same day, same time, just a different job #, and gave me a credit of $50 for the 'inconvenience'. While he was on the phone, I asked why the call back # on the first call was the landline, which THEY took out 2 years ago. That number doesn't exist anymore. He removed it, but this is the third time someone supposedly removes it. They don't list phone #'s on the online account, so I couldn't check
I got on a chat, told the guy the issue, and he checked, and said the only # there now is your cell phone number. So at least that much is fixed
I'm going to call tomorrow morning and re confirm the service call, and if I find out it's been cancelled, they can schedule another one and come and take the boxes out and I'll just have internet with them, and use streaming for everything else. If that's what they're asking for, that's what they're going to get, after having them as providers for the last 26 years!

Lynn Wow! What an adventure with the cable company. Now that there are so many streaming services you would think the cable companies would up their service. I hope it all works out.

Good morning. It is on the 20s here now BRRRR! Temps heading to around 53. Yesterday I went to the kids' soccer games. It was so so cold with the wind. I left after Owen's first game. I am not feeling great either with a cold starting. I just went back to the condo and chilled out. Today still not great but decongestant is working. I have salt therapy today which will really help with the congestion. Jeff called to let me know that Ellie is not feeling well with a fever and sore throat. She tested negative for strep. We did face time and she looked so unhappy. They did have a good time in Maine until she got sick Saturday night.

Good chilly morning. was 35 when I got up, going to 64 today. Going up throughout the week before coming back down. I was so aggravated by everything yesterday that I got nothing done. I wanted to put polyurethane on the cat house, but didn't even go near it. Maybe today.

I did call the cable co last night, and got a recording saying I have an appt for Thursday, so I guess this time no one cancelled it.

I watched the Breeders Cup Classic that I had taped on Saturday. It was so sad, one of the races finished, and one of the horses collapsed on the track. He had a heart attack and died. I cried, I hate to see that happen, the biggest downside of loving horse racing.

This time change has me all messed up, I can't seem to sleep past 5:30 am, which is making the cats happy, but not making me happy

Happy Monday!

I worked nightshift this weekend so on Saturday night when the time changed, we sat there at 2:00 am and watched the clocks move back to 1:00 am. Ugh, that was rough.

My cough is getting better, still coughing but not as much.

Took all my Halloween decorations down yesterday and put some fall things out.

Worked Halloween night so I wasn't able to pass out any candy. Mia went as Cinderella.
