Thanks it was scary to realize she really did have something wrong and being over an hour away from home. We opted for heading back to Philly because I would be gone and my daughter couldn't afford to stay down the shore as prices are up with the summer season. Thankfully it was a good choice. It reminded me of when we went down when she was little. I had taken Crystal and Jay down in the off season. We found a lot of shells on the beach and jay took them to the car, it was parked where I could see him and no streets to cross. Crystal tried to pull away from me and I felt a familiar pop. She dislocated her elbow, AGAIN, and I had to get her back home so my daughter could get her to the ER. She had an issue with the elbow tendons that caused the elbow to pop out. I had to drive 2 hours with that poor kid in pain. She does make for an interesting life

Gus had a hard night staying asleep. He has many bumps, and he’s too old for anesthesia, and he has breathing issues. His breathing and moving around woke us up many times. When we got him from the kennel on Tuesday, he seemed like a younger dog, with more energy, but last night we had to come to grips again that he’s leaving us.

Good morning. Another beautiful sunny day. I was right, we were exhausted last night but it was amazing. The view from the top of Diamond Head was breathtaking, even after we took the long 99 step way to the top. The North Shore was beautiful, watching the surfers was crazy. No way would you get me in those waves. We saw some giant turtles. At the Sugar Mill, there were a whole bunch of food trucks, such delicious food. I'm on a seafood diet, if there's seafood on the menu, I'm ordering it, lol

Tonight after an early dinner, we are taking a sunset helicopter tour of the island. My friend is scared to death, she's never been in a chopper before. I have, so I have no anxiety about it. I can't wait to see it all from above.

Hope everyone is doing well
@tazdev3225 Hugs to you and Crystal

Have a great day

Tazdev I hope Crystal is doing better.

Bobbiwoz I hope you had a good trip. I am sorry to hear about Gus. He is a well loved doggie.

Lynn Glad you are having a good trip.

I did not read all the postings but skimmed through a bit. I got back to the condo a bit after 11. Embarkation of the cruise was great, we were on the ship by 11 am. Disembarkation was a nightmare. We took a tour of the ship just winding around deck 7 to get to the gangway. The cruise was nice. It was good to be with Kenny and the kids. The kids did pretty well but a few meltdowns here and there. The loved the pool. We played Bingo, saw 2 great musicals, and had some good meals. Bermuda is beautiful. We went to Horseshow Bay the first day on the island. It was so hot and humid we only stayed about an hour and a half. There were riptides so we stayed in shallow water. The next day we took the ferry to St. George and then a taxi to the zoo and aquarium. It is a nice little place. Then we took a taxi to crystal caves. I did not go in the caves due to the slippery steps. Kenny and the kids enjoyed it. We took another taxi to Hamilton to get the ferry back. I always sat in the front seat with the driver. They were very informative about the island so I asked lots of questions. One of the drivers wrote a book about the assassination of the governor in 1973. The last day on the island we went to Hamilton to look around. We found a good souvenir shop, looked around a bit, and then got the ferry back. We went to Bar Harbor on the last cruise day. I have been there once before and it is so beautiful. Of course there are little shops and restaurants. The harbor area is lovely. Everyone teases me about how I say Bar Harbor with the Boston accent. I found a T shirt that says it all. See picture below. I spent early morning time on the balcony meditating and watching the sun come up. It was peaceful and pretty. I read a book during the cruise too. The one thing that caught me by surprise was my reaction to the 70's music show. It made me think of Chris as we dated and married during the 70s so the music was what we listened to. Plus they did theme songs from various shows that were popular. I ended up crying a bit and thinking how much Chris would have liked the show. Over all I am glad we had the trip together. I am not sure I could cruise by myself.

I hope everyone is doing well. I am now doing loads of laundry and catching up with my mail.

Have a good day.

Bobbi, so sorry to hear about Gus. Such a hard time when our pets get to that point. 🥹 Thinking of you guys. 🙏

Everyone’s trips sound so lovely! :goodvibes Glad to hear it. You all deserve some R&R!

Taz, there’s always excitement in your life! Glad things worked out ok for Crystal and hope you can have a re-do soon.

Not much going on here, either, just work and house projects. Making good progress, though. Tomorrow we’re working on our own lower family and storage rooms. Once and for all I’m going to get my book cases situated again and storage boxes thrown away. DH is going to clean out the storage room since we’ll be losing our storage and refrigerator use over in the apt when DD moves in. Our old side by side is down there so we have to clean it out and we’ll store drinks and leftovers in there since our kitchen fridge is tiny. And shelving in the room holds everything under the sun (extra kitchenware, pans and containers, dog supplies and food, cleaning stuff, vacuum, brooms, trash/reclycling, etc.) but we need to go through it and get rid of a lot of it and clean all the shelves and flooring.

We have DS/gf’s/kids’ dog for a couple of days, she has a lot of energy! Grady has taken it upon himself to watch her every second, and to keep her away from Toto, who doesn’t always appreciate all the excitement. They went up to Santa’s Village, stayed in North Conway, and are at Canobie Lake Park today. Pictures were adorable. They went to a water park the other day and were only there for 45 mins when it closed due to inclement weather. Bummer. But looked like a nice day at Canobie. I always loved going there both when I was little and when our kids were young. Such a nice family park.

DD and her bf took his young niece and nephew to the Museum of Science the other day. They were busy. When DD came home she passed out cold on the sofa, lol. I told her now you have a small taste of how parents of young kids feel all the time! She also hurt her arm when the little boy got tired and wanted to be carried! Everyone assumed they were their kids. Someone had come up to her bf saying one of them had hit the other! 😱

I bought some frozen bananas and just had one. It was so good. Reminds me of being at AK where I always get one. We ordered dinner out tonight, too tired to shop, cook and clean tonight after some long shifts this week.

I hope everyone has a nice weekend! 🐥

@Pea-n-Me, thanks for kind works regarding Gus. It’s sad watching him, but he still appreciates petting, and asks for attention, so, we know it is not time yet.

And @Snowysmom, your pictures and description of your cruise and the fun times with your family are great. Hugs and kind thoughts for you as I read about your tears because of your memories.:flower3:

Good morning. It's been sunny and 85 almost all week so far. The humidity it a little high, but with the ocean breeze, it's very tolerable.
The sunset helicopter tour was so stunning. My friend got a little airsick, but she got over it by the time we got back to the hotel. She says 'never again', I say 'more please', lol

Today is chilling by the pool or at the beach. Luau tonight where I hear the Hawaiian fire dancers are pretty hot, literally and figuratively, lol! I'm glad we still have 5 more days to soak it all it. Island living could definitely be for me, if it weren't so $$$!

Have a great day.

Just a quick hello. Made it to Denver and no issues getting jim on the planes. Heading to Seattle as soon as everyone is on board. Missing my Chewie already and hoping she is ok. She doesn't eat for a few days when we go away. Will check in as I can

Good evening slipping thread save. Dad and I got expected packages from Target and Amazon today. Tomorrow we are trying again to get Aquafina from Ralphs through Boost. I've been sorting through a ton of books and paring down a ton. I would always rather something especially a book actively be enjoyed rather than collecting dust. For me so many of my Love Inspired books have become stuff that I only remember I have due to an inventory list of titles (thus not missing the actual book). Goal is to have at least one completely empty shelf for room to grow in the future. Should any of you enjoy these books (I only like the regular line of Love Inspired. I do not care for Amish, Historical, or Suspense) Pm me. I would be happy to send you a couple of books 📚Have a good evening, dear friends.

Lynn and Taz Hope you are having a great time on your trips.

Good morning. It is a rainy morning here. It is supposed to clear up a bit later. I have been to Market Basket, got gas in the car, and picked up a coffee. Next up will be a yoga youtube workout that I am trying out. Yesterday I walked at the lake and the condo complex and worked a few hours to try to play catch up a bit. Today I will be doing the same thing. Coming back from vacay is so stressful at work. Jeff and Aimee come back from their 2 night WDW trip. It is for their 10th anniversary which is next month. They stayed at the Contemporary tower as a treat. Kenny's dog Clifford ended up getting into a thorn bush while we were away. He was staying the GF's sister's house. HIs face is scraped and is wearing the cone of shame as he kept going after it.

Have a good Sunday.

Good morning. I've been trying to wake up early every morning to watch the sunrise. I sit on the beach and watch it. My friend is not an early riser, so she hasn't seen one yet, lol. We haven't missed a sunset yet, I've never seen anything like it. Despite the hit my bank account is taking for this trip, I will never regret a minute of it. I only wish Don could have been here with me. It wasn't to be, so I'm enjoying it for both of us. I know he's looking down and smiling, knowing that I'm getting on with life.

We did the beach for awhile yesterday before it got too warm, and then wandered around downtown Honolulu and did a little shopping. We had dinner at the Barefoot Beach Cafe. We both had loco moco. While it looks a little disgusting, it was actually delicious. The only thing we haven't tried yet is poi, and we're both going to at least taste it at the luau tonight.

Have a lovely day
