Quarantine and chill and kindness chatty clubhouse: Jump in and join the conversation! All is welcome!

Beautiful post, Pea:hug:Thank you for taking the care and time to share with us. Extra praise to God that you have at last gotten eye help! Our vision is such a blessing indeed. Prayers for continued healing.

Thank you so much also for your kind reassurance. Dad and I both agree it's very unlikely either of us would catch Covid off to ourselves in a big store. Keeping it in prayer and waiting to see what JC Penney and Kohls send me next week for May. Haircut 💇‍♀️wise I do still feel less comfortable but sure would love to get that done. One step at a time and grateful I am to God in all.

What a nice morning treat, PollyannaMom, for you and your son. I'm so grateful you got to do that  Your ice cream share reminds me to ask if you or anyone else in our thread is watching HGTV's Hometown Takeover? Next week an ice cream shop will be remodeled. That sounds tasty and fun, too🍨I really like how down to earth and genuine, of strong faith and family, Ben and Erin seem to be. Refreshing for sure.

Dad should now be at Ralphs🛒He did everything else already. He will be home, God willing, within half an hour or so.

Have a great afternoon, friends.

Greetings all -

Carol had taken the kids to Dollar Tree and they had a blast decorating.
I've been known to hit up Target or one of those Dollar stores for the whirly-gig things ----they are helpful at keeping the birds off the back porch and the deer out of the grapes to a certain extent.
They are only in their 30's so way too young to have to worry about that.
That's tough. I hope they can get him sorted out.
I picked up an 18 count carton of large eggs at Krogers Friday night for $1.99 with an e-coupon. They were regularly priced at $2.99. The price of eggs has really gone down here.
Nice get!
@easyas123 Just wanted to mention you can walk from OKW to DS but only during the daytime. The walkway is closed at night, because it runs along a river and would be potentially hazardous in the dark.
Oh yeah, we know. This will be our 3rd stay at OKW & we've stayed at SS twice as well. Far prefer the EPCOT resorts, but there was no availability so went the OKW route since I figured the kids will want to go out in the afternoon/night so if not EPCOT, then the Springs made for a second easy-to-get-home-from resort. Admittedly - not my favorite resort, but I'm sure we will enjoy it.
Had a good visit with the opthalmologist and geez, what an eye exam I got
Great to hear, it's it nice when we can get thing resolved? What a relief.
Plumbers just left. All fixed
Good job!

Hi all - not a whole bunch going on. Flew home from FL this morning, was back at my truck and pulling out of BWI by 9 AM, and in the office by 10! Yawn. Picked up some hoagies from Wawa for dinner cause I'm not fooling with cooking this evening.

Welcome Home, Easyas🏡Wow you had a jam packed day! 🙏Extra that you and your DH enjoy a good night's rest tonight.

Came back to share with my Quacker family some exciting for dad and I regarding JC Penney. We decided to cash in free credit card reward points for JC Penney and Kohls gift cards! We both agreed that just doing that was such a blessing. A huge positive step indeed. Both cards are expected to come by the end of next week. God had to have placed checking to see whether Penney's was an option into my mind because, of course, doing so would never have even occured to me in the past.

Always, keeping going in prayer. It is such a blessing to even think about as a bigger reality while also looking forward to what both stores may email me as far as a birthday month reward come May. Thank you all, always, you know that, for your continuing love and support, encouargement, too.

Quiet afternoon otherwise. We're waiting on an expected Amazon package and snail mail, too. Early for either around here.

Good rest of the afternoon/evening, friends.

Just wanted to stop by and say that James had his stem cell transplant this morning. Side effects should begin showing up in 3 - 5 days. He'll know then how well his donors stem cells like their new home. He is staying positive but it's a scary process.

I can’t imagine how scary that must be. I hope his side effects are minimal and that the donor cells love their new home! Modern medicine is amazing-

Kirby Sending prayers to James.

@TazDev So sorry about your DD's husband.

@flyingdumbo127 It sounds like you have a good plan in place for Penney's and Kohl's.

It is a chilly cloudy morning here, 37 degrees with temps heading into the 50s. I feel cold most of the time so I want the sun so it can warm me up as I walk. Kenny keeps his house colder than I would so I wear a fleece all the time. I have 3 blankets on the bed which sometimes is a bit much and I have to take one off but usually I like to just get warm. The blankets are not heavy but are warm.

Off to work. Have a good day.

Good morning. We had a hard frost last night, temp went down to 30. Going to mid 60's today.

@Kirby - 🙏 's for James

@Snowysmom - you and Don would get along well. He's always cold, and I'm the opposite. I rarely have a blanket on unless it's really cold outside. If I can sleep with the windows open all night, all the better. I have the ceiling fan on, and another fan on the bureau going almost all the time.

Going shopping today, as SIL has to go to Morgantown tomorrow, and Dave should be here to bring the roofing materials. Of course they are calling for a chance of rain, it figures.

Don says he's going to go out on Thursday. He needs to have blood work done for a Dr's appt next Monday. I don't see it happening, but who knows. He hasn't even stepped out on the deck since that one time, and he hasn't been near the ramp. I asked if he can do it now, why couldn't he go outside for the last 2 months. He says because he didn't have to? Men!

Have a great day everyone.

Good Tuesday morning!🌥️

Getting on here late for me. I've actually been busy at work. Just took a little break to eat my breakfast. Last night I made little egg muffins. I chopped up some sausage, tomatoes, onions added cheese to the bottom of a 12 ct. muffin tin. I mixed 6 eggs with a cup of cottage cheese in the blender and then poured that over the mixture. They turned out pretty good. Another thing I've discovered is pouring a packet of Crush orange drink flavoring into the blender with a carton of vanilla Premier protein drink. OMG, it tastes just like an orange dreamsicle.😋

FH and I came to an agreement and did not have to go to court!!
I'm glad you guys were able to work things out. Hopefully he'll stick to the agreement.

feeling nostalgic for the Disney trips of old and wanted to take the kids as adults, and their wives for one last trip
This will be so much fun. Last time I was down there was 2018 and the kids were adults, we had so much fun. Taking them as kids is fun but being there with them when they're adults is a different kind of fun.

Jacob stopped over this past weekend to grab something from the garage. I get a text while I was at work saying that he's going to arrange to have a company start cutting my grass weekly . Umm, excuse me? I can cut my own grass. Granted it needed it over the weekend but I was working and then I have to wait until it dries up from the rain. I was a little offended but I know he means well. So I'll cut it tonight but someone is supposed to come over for an estimate. I told him to at least get a few estimates.

Carly is still walking around on 3 legs so I guess I'll have to call the vet 💸. The new cat, Remy, is having issues. The other cats are still being mean to her and I guess last night she was afraid to leave the spare bedroom, I'm sure one of the bully cats was blocking the door, anyway she popped in the spare bedroom during the night. Holy crap did it stink 🤢. I had to get up in the middle of the night to open the windows. This morning before work I tossed her out of the bedroom and closed the door, she'll need to go into survival mood while I'm at work. So when I get home from work today I get to find & clean the bedroom floor and go cut the grass before it starts raining again. Yay me!:cheer2:

This coming weekend is my weekend off and guess what, it's suppose to rain 😫. I'm praying the forecast changes so that I'm not stuck in the house on my only weekend off. If I am, guess I'll be doing my spring cleaning.

Well back to work, have a great day!

🙏💕extra dear Kirby to you and James along with his donor, God Bless truly that kind person and their family.

:hug:Snowysmom, you know I also get cold most of the time which is why extra warmth is always so very much appreciated. Stay warm, my friend with many brighter days inside and out to come! Thank you for your conrinuing shopping encouragement. I really appreciate it.

Lynn, beautiful pink 🌸Of course, prayers that Don, follows through and that getting out does him (and, of course you, a ton of good)!

🙏:dogdance:to Carly, Footballmouse and please remember to also take care of yourself prayers to you!

Pea, Dazed, and Easyas, of course, a good morning :grouphug:to all three of dear you as well!

It's a quiet, cooler morning here. All is quiet on the LA front which is lovely. Dad is thankfully staying home. We're so thankful for another day period, of course, and a more relaxing one. Have a good and happy in some way Tuesday friends, I will check back in later :)

Good afternoon.

Kirby I hope your son does OK with the stem cell transplant.

Another good day/bad day.

My aunt, dad's sister, fell over the weekend and besides a lot of bruising broke her upper arm in 2 places. My cousins don't live that close to her and she won't come up here to recuperate. Thankfully she does have a circle of friends that will help out.

My daughter had a patients blood splash in her eye somehow so now she has to wait on results of every test they can give the patient to make sure she can't catch anything. This of course means HIV as well as other nasty diseases. One more thing to worry about.

On the positive note my dad turned 87 today. I am extremely blessed to still have him in my life even if he is having memory issues. Sometimes they can be funny, to me at least. My mom has a tougher time with it.

A little cooler here today but not cold, at least to me as it doesn't seem to bother me that much anymore. Hope you all have a pleasant day

@Kirby , prayers for James.

@tazdev3225 , prayers.

@footballmouse, so many things you are dealing with. :grouphug:

DH and I worked outside this morning, then we had Chinese take out for lunch. We took Gus around the block. It’s a small block, but I feel good when I walk with them. I will take my bike out for a ride when Tom takes Gus for the longer walk.

I noticed a younger neighbor who is between jobs had her bike out, and asked her if she wanted to ride with me sometime. She prefers mornings, so we have a tentative date 9Am Thursday. Found out she’s 20 years younger than me. My mom was friends with her mom, and then I was friends with her mom, and we are continuing the “different generations“ friendship! Her actual home is in North Jersey. She’s on vacation when she’s here.

Good afternoon from sunnier than this morning LA,

Dad and I are enjoying a quieter Tuesday. We're going to try calling Steve and Ruth shortly which will be so nice.

🙏all-around dear Taz and for some extra JOY to come your way!

Bobbiwoz, what a blessing! I LOVE the circle of friendship that your families have shared. That is truly so rare and special. You are a special lady, too :)

Thanks, dear Bobbiwoz. I should have said that while Steve and Ruth are definitely our friends, they're also our cousins :) I really do love that you have an adult trike and are able to enjoy longer walks on it that always sounds like something I would enjoy trying out.

Weather is beautiful, only 60 but feels warmer. Did all errands, picked up Don's meds, which finally met all of his Part D deductible for the year. Stopped at the UPS store and did an Amazon return. Hit Aldi's and Walmart.

The weirdest thing happened to all 3 of our phones. The internet wouldn't connect at all. I had to get onto Walmarts wifi to use my phone. Then it said my sister in law called me while I was sitting by the door waiting for them. My phone hadn't rung. She got to the door and said she hadn't called me. She looked at her phone and it said she had called me 2x and I had called her once. But neither of us did. In the car, our phones would switch from 5 G with all bars, to no G's and no bars. When I got home I called the local store, to be told they didn't have any network issues, that there must be something wrong with our phones. A wrong setting or a bad sim card. I said on 3 different phones? 2 I phones and one Samsung, not likely, especially with fairly new phones. I hung up and called the tech line. She looked and said there had been a period of interference on that tower which is why we had issues. I asked her to call the store and tell them to stop telling people it was their phones. She laughed and said she would. She couldn't explain it saying we had called each other when we hadn't. She said maybe someone was trying to spoof our numbers. I didn't buy that one either. All 3 phones seem to be fine now so I guess it's solved.

Off to fix some dinner and relax the rest of the night.

Have a nice evening.
