We're hanging in there. Feeling slowly but surely better, thanks to God.
We can pretty much tell if we are going to have to go in when we receive a jury summons. We're assigned a number and the lower it is the bigger chance of having to go in. When I received my summons a couple of months ago my number was in the 700's. I figured I wouldn't have to go in and when I called the message said "all potential jurors with numbers over 300 do not have to attend". If I lived in Dallas County, 700 would probably be considered a low number but since I live in a much smaller county its pretty high.I am at Kennys and will stay the night. I do have to go to jury duty. I suspect you only get let off if there are no cases being heard that day.
I am having a really hard week, maybe the visit out of town was too soon. I just keep crying, thinking about how the future without Kris will look. I miss him so much. I think reality has set in, and I don’t like it at all.
Mona, I don't know how old your dad is but if he is on Medicare he can get Covid home tests for free from the Walgreens, CVS, etc.Should we not be closer to all better by the end of the weekend, dad will look into a free home Covid test
Fingers crossed! The other one made a full price offer with me being able to stay until April 29 with paying condo fees and taxes. I took the offer. They only need to get a small amount of financing with the rest cash. They do want an inspection so we will see how that goes.
Another cloudy day here, and I will be going to the laundromat. - I think we narrowly avoided a dryer fire last night!
Thankfully, DH was in the basement den, which is right next to the laundry room, and he thought he smelled something burning. We unplugged the dryer right away, and opened the bulkhead door to let any smoke out before it was enough to trip the alarms.
We're not sure right now whether the heating element went or some lint got past the trap and was smoldering a little. We never saw actual flames, but will obviously get the machine checked out.
For now, DS's laundry is on the drying racks, and I will take the other loads to the laundromat today.
To top it off, one of the cats got scared and hid. But when we couldn't find her, we were briefly afraid that she had slipped out the bulkhead in the confusion. (We had closed an interior door to keep them from that area, but worried she had somehow snuck past.) Thankfully, I did find her.
I guess I never answered this...we had someone come to the house to do them, same girl who did Dolly's. They were so good a out it. They just laid on their beds or the couch and she cut them, no problem. LoL We didn't need to get them professionally groomed...we were able to wash and brush them ourselves at home and they were good with that do. Luckily our trainer has a groomer she highly recommends for anxious dogs. How did you trim your other dogs’ nails?
Congratulations to everyone. Sounds like a great day.yesterday went off without a hitch and youngest was married and we have a new daughter.
A few quotes for the night...
Sounds like a great neighborhood...I hope something comes up soon so you can at least take a look. Hopefully everything goes well with the inspection on the condo. But with the landscaping and way it is laid out, they all blend together nicely. The walkways were cleared of snow and ice and ready for walking.
Hope you feel better. I keep thinking I'm getting a cold or something and then nothing comes of it.I woke up with a sore throat and a sniffly nose.
Yikes....scary. Glad your DH was close by to catch it before anything happened.- I think we narrowly avoided a dryer fire last night!![]()
