I forgot to say earlier that dad was shocked that Target wanted $22 for a small

Quiet afternoon. 2:22pm here. Seems much later or perhaps timeless!

Yikes! We're not sure right now whether the heating element went or some lint got past the trap and was smoldering a little. We never saw actual flames, but will obviously get the machine checked out.
That's a smart idea. We did something similar when I was expecting DS - lived as much as we could on DH's salary, to see if we could we could swing me not going back for a long while.Paid some bills and put together a spread sheet of our monthly necessary expenses. We're thinking ahead when we do finally retire and what we will receive from SS. Going to try and live on that amount and get used to it so it's no surprise when we have less available. We have a small amount saved for retirement but don't want to rely on that.
The GKs spent the weekend with their dad, Lou Lou came home crying, Lil Joe was stone faced. Took a little while for them to come around. Lou Lou told DD that she was stealing her dad's money. DD explained to her that, no, her dad was giving it to her to spend on them but there is only so much you can say to a four year old. She also told DD that her stepmom was rich. He must have worked on Lou Lou a lot this weekend.
I'm feeling the same way about our weather lately.Another cold dreary day. I am so tired of rain and snow showers. I need my outdoor time and not getting it is not good for my anxiety and stress.
I hear you on that one. Last year before I got the prescription assistance for it, I had to have it filled for the first time. $800 for 3 months! I almost passed out when I saw the cost. I've reapplied for assistance again this year, and thankfully I still have more than 2 full months of it left, since it was last sent to me in December., while I wait for their decision. The cost of some meds is no joke, I hope they can get Jim onto some affordable ones! Good luck with his cardiologist appt tomorrow. Don (husband) has his next Monday. The Eliquis only cost $20 every 3 months. I am really afraid to get that one refilled when it's time.
We always welcome new fans. My son, Jacob, is a huge Patriots fan. He's also a big fan of Tom Brady so he'll cheer for whatever team he's playing for but he's staying true to the Patriots.Congrats to the Bengals, I was rooting for them. My Patriots and Bucs didn't make it this year, so I have to find someone else to root for.
I've never had regular/local jury duty but about 3 months ago I received a questionnaire about serving on a federal jury, which would mean driving to Baltimore to sit on the case. Ugh...just what I don't want to do! Anyway, it said to expect to hear from them sometime in "early 2023" if I remember correctly. Wondering how all that will go.We can pretty much tell if we are going to have to go in when we receive a jury summons. We're assigned a number and the lower it is the bigger chance of having to go in.
well....yeah! It turned out okay, it was a fairly basic recipe that we Dr'd up w/ green onions, cheese & bacon. And sour cream. Kinda like a loaded baked potato soup. So, does, potato soup taste potatoey? I have always wondered.![]()
Good luck to him, I hope everything goes well.DS has an appointment for a bone marrow test on Thursday at MDA.
That must be wearing, the stress of the hurry up & wait. I wish it could be over for you.I'm still just treading water and waiting and waiting and waiting
Have you discussed with him combining his running around and doing it all on one day and/or at just one or two places in order to not be running all over town several days a week? Or is it that he gets stir crazy if he can't be out & about and needs to get out of the house?I'm keeping in prayer that he truly will stay home tomorrow. I keep telling him he needs to be home, take care, so he can finally get all well!
I'm sure it will go fine, fingers crossed it doesn't stress you out to much over the next 24 hours.I am stressed about the inspection tomorrow.
Dang, 3 ft? I'd love a big snow fall just like that once a year. We haven't had any, although it did sleet a bit yesterday - does that count? When I woke up at noon there was about 3 ft. of snow on the ground and it was still snowing.
I feel for him! We never stop worrying about our kids no matter their age.Kenny has a stressful week with divorce issues. He sees his attorney and then soon to be ex and her attorney. It is mostly about finances and he is beyond stressed about the house issue. I just hope and pray he is able to keep the house for the kids. They love being there as it is the place they know best. He is a grown man but I still worry about him and want the best.
My brother in law spoke at my divorce but it was just to attest to the fact that we had lived separately for the required minimum time, nothing else personal.@frog3101 I never heard of anyone being called as a witness in a divorce case either. Maybe it won't happen. If it does, just keep your head high. You only want what's best for the kids, and that's what will prevail
I forgot my eggs! Packed my cooler with breakfast things and left the eggs in the refrigerator.Made a Costco run this morning. Picked up a 24 count eggs for $5.99. I got two of them, that was the limit. I also bought one of their rotisserie chickens. Deboned it when we got home and plan on making chicken tortilla soup with some of the meat tomorrow night.
