Good Morning Friends,

Thank you all so much for your extra love and feel better wishes. Thanks to God, I enjoyed one of the best sleeps ever! Dad is feeling brighter this morning, too. We are so grateful.

Boost through Ralphs delivered us 4 (we had ordered 5 but they only had 4) Aquafina cases. The kind delivery man even brought them all just inside our apartment. Dad agreed how much easier it was to get so much water this way. We do have a 30 day free trial so maybe he will try it again.

The one hitch is that they substitued Swansons Chicken Broth (we don't care for) for Campbells. Dad will be checking his order to see whether he did mark no substituions, if there was such an option. He will call Boost afterwards.

We heard back via email from Sonia from the management company. She said someone from maintenance will come out today. Meantime, thanks to God, all is dry.

Snowysmom and ITA with Judique! today goes well, my friend.

The real estate agent and photographer have left. It went well. The real estate agent told me I am too active and vibrant to living here. LOL! She is kind and says she will be there for me through the whole process. Open houses are this weekend. It will be interesting.

Snowysom. I'm so grateful extra to God all went well earlier and that He placed such a great and kind real estate agent in your life.

both on our delivery and leakage. Dad called Boost customer service because we only did get 4 cases of Aquafina plus the wrong soup. Ralph's has always provided fantastic customer service. We are so grateful. An agent verified that we were only charged for 4 waters and is adding to our Ralphs store shopper card a $4 credit to compensate for the water discount $1 off 5 cases) She also refunded the Swansons and said we can keep it! Dad will use it to make a gravy he likes. Now, we also know that at checkout on Boost, there is a "no substitions" box which we would just check in the future.

Two people were out here earlier from maintenance. Don't know what they did other than make quite a racket for a bit doing it. We also learned from Sonia that sadly other buildings owned by the same owner, are having similar issues. Thankfully it is supposed to be dry for at least a couple days. I would sure appreciate prayers that all stays dry for all lower level residents when next we do get heavy rain.

Good morning. 28 degrees and no rain this morning. It is going into the 40s today. I have to go into the office as I have jury duty scheduled on my usual in office day. Please say a prayer that when I call the jury duty line tomorrow that they say I don't have to go in. My anxiety and stress levels are high this week and to have one thing out of the way would help tremendously. I am busy at work and really need the day to get some things done. I also have the open house and real estate matters weighing heavily on my mind. Thanks.

Kenny was away for a couple of days and is now back. I always feel better when my kids and grandkids are safely at home. I did a videochat with Jeff and the kids last night. They seemed tired and not too talkative. Ellie looks tired but otherwise seems to be doing better. I loved seeing them. I will see Kenny's kids tomorrow night as I am staying at his house in case I do have to go to jury duty.

Don has an appt at the COPD clinic early this afternoon, and I think I am going to do grocery shopping while we are already out. I don't need all that much. And since Dave is supposed to come tomorrow to do all the measuring and planning for the bathroom, I don't want to have to make him work around my schedule

Summer is in Morgantown today, seeing the Orthopedic surgeon, so if you can say a prayer, it would be appreciated.

Happy Tuesday everyone!

I enjoyed my 3 day weekend, kinda didn't know what to do with myself. Saturday morning I watched Mia so that Bailey could get her hair done. The rest of the day I didn't do anything, just watched football games. Sunday I went to brunch with my sisters, brother and their spouses. Cracker Barrell had their Xmas things for 70% off so I bought Mia 3 Xmas outfits for next year, hopefully she'll fit in them. Ran some errands after we were done. The snap came off of my coat I bought at Kohls back in the fall so I returned that and got the same coat only a different color. Then I spotted a longer dressy coat (goes to my knees) in a lilac color that I bought. I really needed something for work, I usually wear a short coat or my long rain coat. I don't like how Kohl's switched from Kohl's cash to just a % coupon now. The Kohl's cash would have gotten me the scarf that I saw that matched my new coat, now I just get 15% off, which would come to $5. Probably won't go back for that.

Stopped at Meijer to get some cat food and wax melts, then on to the $1 store where I got a plastic tub for the dog's toys. After Xmas, they outgrew the smaller toy basket. Finished the day/night watching the football games, Bengals won so we move on to the next round of play offs.

Yesterday was a holiday at the hospital for me so I was off. Evan called and asked if I wanted to meet for lunch so I did that and Bailey & Mia were meeting up with us too. After lunch Evan went back to work and Bailey & Mia came back to the house for a couple of hours. I love sitting and just holding her, the facial expressions she makes are just so cute.

Tried watch the football game last night but went to bed at halftime. The stray cat that I now have acquired has been wondering around the house all weekend. She's getting used to the other cats and the dogs so I'm glad she's getting brave. She's been sitting on my lap at night which isn't making Cheeto or Twix very happy b/c that's where they usually lay. She's still hissing/growling if another cat gets too close but hopefully that will stop. Cheeto has now moved into the spare bedroom. I guess he thinks that it's a pretty good setup and if the other cat isn't using it he will. I'm thinking of naming her Remi but then I thought about Merida from the Brave movie.

Guess I better get back to work. Our new director started today and I sit right outside of her office. I probably should find something to do that makes me look busy.

She's getting used to the other cats and the dogs so I'm glad she's getting brave. She's been sitting on my lap at night which isn't making Cheeto or Twix very happy b/c that's where they usually lay. She's still hissing/growling if another cat gets too close but hopefully that will stop. Cheeto has now moved into the spare bedroom. I guess he thinks that it's a pretty good setup and if the other cat isn't using it he will. I'm thinking of naming her Remi but then I thought about Merida from the Brave movie.

Awww...glad she's getting comfortable. I think Remi sounds good with Cheeto and Twix. (Though of course pics always help with naming new DIS cats! )

Another dreary day. I have church duty this afternoon then yoga later.

I finally took the candles out of the windows and need to pack them away. I didn't want them still up when we got home from vacation. The only thing left is the pencil tree with White House and Secret Service ornaments on it. I moved it from in front of the window to a corner of the living room.

I feel a year older today.

Does this mean that is in order?

@Snowysmom Said prayers that things go smoothly for you. I always had a tendency to run a tad late for jury duty (once I got really lost) and wound up with a high number. They were all set by the time they got to me. Not sure it’s done that way anymore, and I didn’t plan it, but I’ve never been chosen and was usually dismissed by mid-morning. Good luck with the open house. Deep breaths.

I have a little good news. DS got his promotion! He just texted us this morning. Thank you for your good thoughts and prayers for him. He will do a good job in the role, and he’ll get a nice pay increase. We all said prayers of thanks here. Will have to think of a way to celebrate tonight.

Off to break the bank and make some eggs. Reading about eggs I suddenly have the urge for some.

Good morning...

Dolly is getting her nails trimmed today and I don't know how she's going to do...she gets a little freaked when we try to brush her or even dry her off when she's wet from the rain...hope it goes well. This chick is really stressing me out, she was doing good being out a couple times by herself the last couple days and then yesterday she jumped the fence twice. Training starts tomorrow and I hope it helps with some of my concerns.

Hope whatever they did worked and you get no more leaking. I can't remember where I heard it and if it's true or not but something like CA has had more rain these last couple weeks than we've had in the last 8 years. Crazy.

This is the one I use, and DH and DS both love it -


Obviously, I've played with it a lot over time. The gist of it is that I like a little more chicken broth than the original recipe calls for, but It's pretty flexible.
