Quarantine and chill and kindness chatty clubhouse: Jump in and join the conversation! All is welcome!

Carol, Lands End has some nice clothing. I’m glad both you and Jack were able to get needed items from there. I’m sure of no help with snorkel masks since I’ve never been snorkeling and honestly doing so is something I’d rather read and perhaps better one day hear about from you. It does sounds fascinating to get a fish -eye :fish:(as opposed to bird's eye 🐦, view of the ocean.

Taz and Easyas, I Googled Mummers parades having never heard of such an event. Glad you both have positive memories of being part of them. New car 🚙shopping prayers indeed. I’ve never larger vehicle shopped. I just remember way back in 2016 when dad and I were looking for my car feeling completely out of the loop because the car I was coming from was my grandma’s 1990 Corolla. The new cars just felt high up (I am over 5’8”) and with obstructed (seat backs) views. Of course, since 1990 cars and their gadgets have come a long way. I just wanted basic and reliable. Kept it in prayer, of course, and both dad and I are pleased with our versa. We also really like dad’s Honda Fit that he got in 2019. The chewy bars that my friend had gotten for me and that dad saw today expired in September and November. I’m glad the Vicks did its job for you, my friend! I do have an expired Pain Ease Spray that I keep on hand as needed TMJ-wise. Thank God, I rarely need it anymore. My last dentist assured me that as long as it’s still cold and not super years old, it’s fine. Food, to me, is a whole other story!

:cheer2:Congratulations, AuntieMe3! I LOVE your gingerbread house. Great job. I would (not necessarily have been all that much help) but would have loved helping you build it. With your okay, that just might make a great New Year's or some other seasonal wall or even card decoration for my dad and I. Dad did get a small picture from CVS of a gingerbread house that I found on Google. It’s cute but would only print 4X6. A Quacker made house, of course, would make any decoration all the more meaningful. Happy Birthday belatedly to your friend. Hugs, I’m so glad you got to celebrate with her and Christmas with more family, too. I was beyond thankful to God for the 80-degree weather! Appreciated every minute!

Sweet Dreams everyone! :grouphug:

Good Morning. 20 degrees here but expected to go to 40 later. The next few days are even warmer.

I will be heading to Kenny's house tomorrow after work. I work a half day Friday and then it is older DGS's 6th birthday party. A few of his friends will be over as well as Jeff's family. It should be fun. Then I will stay until New Year's Day. I have a few errands I want to do out his way as well as find the court house where I have jury duty next month. Blech! It is closer to Kenny's house than my condo so I will stay the night with him and get an early start on jury duty day. This is not something I needed at this point in my life so I am super stressed about it.

I am meeting my friend for lunch today so looking forward to talking with her. Have a good day.

Good morning!❄️

The temperature is creeping up there. Tomorrow should start the string of 50's and into the 60's by next week. With those temps also comes rain. Hopefully the snow will melt quickly.☔

Finished the 1883 series. I think I'll start the next one, 1923.

AuntieMe3 - Congrats on your gingerbread house victory 👏. I wanted to do that with the kids on Xmas Eve but I couldn't find the kits. The ones I did find at Walmart were $23 each, wasn't going to pay that much since I needed 2. Maybe next year.

Back to work, have a great day.

Good morning. Going to be 50's today and 60's the rest of the week. The snow should all melt, which would be nice

@AuntieMe3 Congratulations--really cute gingerbread house!

@Snowysmom Can't you get a postponement on the jury duty? Around here you can ask for one twice I think it is

Sister in law went to the car dealer yesterday afternoon, still looking for a 2023 Santa Cruz. Lot had 3 of them, but all had holds on them. They told her they will call when they get more, but that it could be months. She can't wait that long. Her van isn't going to make it much longer, and she had to spend $800 on new tires and an alignment on it yesterday morning., after finding 2 flats when she went out to move it. I had told her to ask about the 'cash only, and just cash' thing, but she says all she told him was that she wasn't financing it in any way. So she's now had that large amount of money sitting in the freezer for more than a week. I told her take it back to the bank and leave it there until you find a new car.

Trash is out, I can still get into our mailbox, lol.

Off to the grocery store shortly

Have a nice morning

Good morning, all. Nothing much going on today to write about here (but I like nice quiet days sometimes!)

DS has an oil change appointment for his car this afternoon, and he wants them to look at some other stuff while it's there, so I'll probably follow him over so he can leave it there and not sit around waiting, but otherwise no errands. I'm planning a bit of cleaning, some time to read, and maybe a walk if it gets warm enough.

Yesterday, DH did get to pick up a shelf at IKEA that had been out of stock when we'd gotten the other ones back in November. So he put that together, DS helped him move it upstairs, and I helped him transfer things onto it from the temporary solution he'd been working with. It looks good.

Good morning.

So far the stomach bug has hit everyone in Sarah's house and I just found out that Andrew had it too. I hope I don't get it. At least it is fast.

No plans today other than working on our Hawaii trip. Maybe go to the library. Have to remember to watch the Kennedy Center Honors tonight. Always like that show.

they sent the maintenance man and he changed the lock on our mailbox.
Glad you got that fixed.

we have a older (have had since new, it's about 13 years old) JD mower...just a regular ride on lawn mower, we've never once removed or worried over the battery in the cold
We have a ~4 year old JD lawn tractor. Have never removed the battery or had a problem. Before that, we had a Cub Cadet and never had a problem and DH used it with a snow blade to clear the driveway in the winter. Also only change the oil every couple of years, it says 75 hours.

Mother, my husband and one of my brothers have RX snorkel masks.
Are they full face or just eyes and nose? I do wear glasses but when I snorkeled before, amazingly I could see under water. I just have trouble with the breathing so wondered about a mask that covered my mouth too.

On with the day.

Good morning.

Busy couple of days coming up for me again. Heading to New York with my daughter and the boys today to see the sights. We are taking the train from Philly to Trenton and then Trenton to Penn Center. Heading back tonight and I need to check the train schedules for the return trip.

Tomorrow is Lancaster with my other daughter and the girls, not sure if Mikey is coming with us or Ella's friends. My mom isn't going as she has been having some stomach issues and I need to go specifically for her. She needs something that I can get there but not here in Philly.

Friday is laundry and my normal chores I should have done already, like food shopping. I don't need much anyway.

Saturday is my mom's New Year's Party and then Sunday at my son's house.

After the New Year I need to start working on the plans for my DIsney trip. When it's just me I go with where the wind takes me from day to day. We aren't getting Park Hoppers so I need to decide what parks are more important and plan from there. The only thing I have decided on is one sit down meal for my granddaughters Fried Pickles. They sound disgusting but it is what she wants.

Hope you all have a nice day.

Good Morning everyone from chilly but so far dry LA,

It rained yesterday quite a bit. Dad and I were grateful that it was dry when Sandro delivered our Sparkletts water earlier. Feel badly for all delivery people out in the 🌧️We are expecting packages today from both Amazon and Walmart. I'm going to work on some end of year mail. Later, maybe we will finally check out one of our Christmas movies we DVR-ed.

:bday: upcoming to your grandson, Snowysmom! It sounds like he will have a fun celebration. Extra blessing to him will be your presence. Jury Duty is never any fun indeed. I last went in 2018. Hugs, I am glad to hear you will be spending this New Year’s weekend with family.

Stay dry and warm, Footballmouse, please. Thank you again and always for all you do for so many with great care!🌸

Lynn, I hope your SIL is able to get a new 🚙sooner than later. Cute Pooh picture that reminds me of the Christmastime Meet and Greet at DL by the pooh: ride. I definitely look forward to being able to go on that ride with you and some others in our Quacker family one day.

PollyannaMom:hug:enjoy a quiet, cozier day! IKEA is very handy place indeed. I’m glad your DH found a shelf that will work for him. Dad will one day be going back to IKEA to look at a new nightstand for himself along with a couple other things. Enjoy your book!📕

Carol, continuing health prayers for you and your family! Please take extra care to stay warm and dry. A trip to the library 📚 sounds like such fun. One day God-willing, I sure look forward to being able to do just that. Enjoy browsing at the library for both of us :)

Prayers for safe travels to come, dear Taz! Enjoy seeing the Christmas sights in NY. I am so glad you have an upcoming WDW to look forward to!::MickeyMo

Wishing all of dear you a great day. I will check back in later. :grouphug:

Good morning(afternoon now, I started this earlier...lol)

Relaxing in this ooohh sooo comfy bed while I wait for my friend go finish getting ready to head home....she takes a little more time than I do... We've had a great time, had some good food but most importantly, great friend time. Didn't win big but had fun playing on the slots and still going home with money. LOL. Can't wait to get home to Miss Dolly(....DD and DH too...) She's been a little mischievous since I've been gone so she should be happy when she sees me. Going to contact a trainer when sometime this week to get started soon.

With your okay, that just might make a great New Year's or some other seasonal wall or even card decoration for my dad and I.
Of course...if you want a more straightforward picture, I can take another when I get home and email it to you.

where I have jury duty next month.
Ugh....hopefully you get dismissed or better yet, ot gets canceled and you don't have to go at all.

Finished the 1883 series. I think I'll start the next one, 1923.
I probably missed it but do/did you watch Yellowstone? DH and I just finished season 4...have to wait for season 5 to come to Peacock. He watched 1883 so I need to watch that while he's at work so we can watch 1923 together.

I wanted to do that with the kids on Xmas Eve but I couldn't find the kits.
We coordinated with everyone a couple weeks ahead of time and all got the pre assembled houses from Target. LOL They were 20% off when I bought them too.

I can still get into our mailbox, lol
Glad that was taken care of for you.

So far the stomach bug has hit everyone in Sarah's house and I just found out that Andrew
Oh no....hope you don't get it. Stomach bugs are the worst.

Heading to New York with my daughter and the boys today to see the sights.
Enjoy your day...sounds great.

These are so good. We get them often when we go out for an appetizer.
I agree....I didn't think I'd like them the first time I tried them but yummy. Soo good.

@PollyannaMom Quiet days are my favorite days.

Hope you all have a good rest of your day.

@TazDev Fried pickles are yummy. Younger DS and I will get them sometimes when we go out.

Unfortunately in Mass you cannot postpone jury duty unless you have a really, really good reason and they will be the judge of that. You can't even ask to go to a different court closer to home. Years ago you could. I thought you could opt out at 65 but I guess it is now 70. I am hoping when I call the day before that I am told not to come. But, with the way things have been going the past 15 months, I am not holding out much hope for that to work.

I had a nice lunch with my friend. We talked about life and how things are going for both of us. She is so thoughtful and knows just what to say. We could talk all day.

Have a nice evening.

Slipping thread save!

Thanks so much AuntieMe3! I would appreciate a picture. I will PM you. Comfy beds are such a blessing indeed but so are precious pups! Paws and hugs always to Miss Dolly. Prayers for safe travels always to you, my friend.

Hugs, Snowysmom and I am so very thankful God gave you and your friend each other.

We did get our Walmart package earlier and are now waiting on Amazon. Dad has a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning. I would appreciate, as always, extra prayers. Thank you all so very much.

AuntieMe3 enjoy the rest of this afternoon and everyone else I hope you are already having a good evening.

Welp it was as long day, but well spent. Went all over hill & dale with a list of vehicles I wanted to check out and I checked them all out .. headed to Annapolis, MD to three different dealerships, then back over the bridge with a pit stop in Easton, MD to see another - then back home . All told I looked at/drove 6 vehicles and narrowed it down to 3. So glad that chore is almost done. Now to decide and either order or wait and just go get what's available on the lot when the time comes.
It was at least a pleasant day for a drive, as in sunny and not terribly crowded. Car salesman were, well the usual, but could have been worse. I don't find as a female that they treat me any different, although I know that happens.
Husband is going up to Lynn's neck of the woods to his Uncles farm for a bit of hunting starting tomorrow, Not sure what I'm going to do with myself while he is gone. Grocery shopping I suppose, and my annual run to Goodwill to drop stuff off - but other than that???????????? I guess just chill out and take down the rest of the holiday décor. Maybe start shopping for something to wear to youngest's wedding later in January.

Dinner this evening was chicken breasts on the grill. Unfortunately we had to toss all of the veggies from the garden in the freezer because we realized we had burned some wood in the garden that was poisonous. Anyway, while clearing it all out I realized how much stuff we have in there so I'm determined to get the inventory down. Starting with the two chicken breasts this evening. I'm rather bummed about the garden items we had to toss, but better safe than sorry.

Back to our Dr. Who Christmas episode marathon, we record and watch them each year between Christmas and New Years.

Watching the Kennedy Center Honors.

I didn’t go to the library with Jack because I already have too manY books out.

First world problem : trying to decide between two hotels on Oahu. Been talking with Andrew who stayed at one and recommended the other. They both have pros and cons.

narrowed it down to 3.
And they were?….

Maybe start shopping for something to wear to youngest's wedding later in January.
Good luck!

Well, the GK's were supposed to be home at noon today. We don't know where they are except they are with their dad. He used canceled flights as his excuse but DD checked and there were plenty of flights out of Albuquerque today. He wanted her to drive and meet him in Lubbock, six hours west of us. She said no. Then later he wanted her to drive up into Oklahoma, didn't give an exact location. She said no, we are sticking to the decree. She asked about 5:00 pm for and ETA on when he would have the kids here and his response was "call your attorney". So she did and her attorney contacted his, no response so far. Then she texted her ex again about an hour ago. Same response, "call your attorney". At what point does the "canceled flight" excuse become useless and talking to the police begin?

And on another note, DS is feeling pretty bad. All of his numbers are low and he received two bags of platelets and one of blood today.

Today was a useless day. Didn't get much done except to wash a load of clothes and cook dinner. Can't seem to focus on much, too many distractions.

Sorry for such a downer post............appreciate you listening.

That is incredibly frustrating with your ex SIL. 🤬 He can’t be garnering good karma in life.

Your son will feel better a little better after getting the blood products, hopefully. I never realized how bad one feels when their numbers are that low until mine were. It’s like you can barely move.

Don’t apologize. Glad to be here to listen. Hugs.

Well finally settled back at home with time to write a trip report. 🤓

Had a minor delay with flight home on SWA, but once all the flight attendants showed up, we were on our way and had a great (as usual) and relatively short flight. I guess ours was one of only a few flights to get into our smaller airport Tuesday, maybe because it was direct, we figured? Didn’t see a lot of chaos at MCO - lines were low and surprisingly, we sailed right through. DS wanted to go really early from reports he was seeing (he’s an aviation bug) so I gave him a little hard time about it but I knew he was right. So we had some sitting around to do, but it was fine. DH and DD got massages, DS watched a movie and I got some lunch and “window shopped” a bit. There was an undertone that everything was not right though - for instance they kept moving people from gate to gate which was the first time I’d seen that (with everyone practically running with all their crap, which was kind of funny - like, the plane’s not even here yet). I think people were probably a little nervous, as was I.

DS’s golf clubs didn’t make it home on our flight, not sure why, and they’re still not home. I was watching them load our luggage as we sat on the plane (weird), and saw some of our other stuff go on. (DH thinks they ran out of room because they stopped loading the plane when there were still bags on the truck. Maybe there was other luggage on there from other cancelled flights that they were bringing somewhere else? Maybe it was a weight issue? Things did seem a little out of sorts with that, like normally luggage is loaded before you get on plane, but this time, no. Could hear all the banging below. It could also have been that they were not positive we were going to actually go, because for a while we were missing a flight attendant and they weren’t sure one would show, they announced. I think by regulation they have to have a certain number of FAs for safety. Our theories, anyway. 😝) Have only had a bag missing once before and they delivered it to our house the next day. I hope he doesn’t lose them altogether as he has a lot of Disney, school and other memorabilia on his clubs. Oh, he had a nice golf day. Paired up with a man from Brazil and a couple from Canada. None of them really spoke English but they managed to communicate just fine on the course. DS said he was so cold his hand was stuck in a gripping position!

I never saw so many dogs on planes as I did this trip, either. Maybe because of holiday travel, idk. They were no trouble, though - just one was barking a few times in the airport. They get a little anxious, I think, from what I could see. I missed Toto when I saw a little dog just like him, but white (a Westie, like Snowy!). We were supposed to take him with us last year, bought a carrier and everything, but at the last minute we decided not to. It likely won’t ever happen, either, with the big one being part of the family now too. Oh well, I can probably do without the stress of that on vacation.

We had a really great trip, it was so hard to leave and get back to reality. 🫤 We stayed at Coronado Springs Resort in the Gran Destino Tower. We’ve stayed at Coronado before but this was the first time in the tower, and it was beautiful. We never made it in the pools as it was too cold, but the main pool looked as beautiful as ever, and they added a LOT of things for kids to play with since we stayed there before, which was great. Had flashbacks to when kids were little when my two, of course, had to run and go down the kiddie slide (they’ll probably still be doing that when they have kids, lol). We were the only ones there. DS and I even played ping pong in the freezing cold with no jackets on - it was sunny when we first went out to explore but sun went down and temperature dropped suddenly. (He told me a story I had never heard before and that was that in his college locker room they had a ping pong table so he got good at it. I was no slouch, either, lol, though I don’t remember the last time I played.) He’s fresh, though, and gunned me with the ball a couple of times, laughing like heck. Boys.

I thought everything at the resort looked pristine. 👍🏻 I didn’t realize there is an indoor walkway from the Tower to El Centro, which is a very nice feature. DS kept saying how much he loved the resort. All of us did. Has anyone else here stayed there yet? (Our last stay there was during his first college baseball trip when he was staying elsewhere with his team, though he did visit for a morning on his day off before we went to Epcot - DH went and picked him up at like 5am and when he arrived back he just flopped on the bed, I think he was just so beat and relieved to be with us, those trips can be a little stressful for freshmen; and during our prior stay there he was only seven or eight. You might remember DD and her bf stayed there last summer, too, but not in the tower. I’d posted a lot of her pictures. She’s hooked now, lol.)

The best thing they did there, besides the tower, imo, is add the bridge going across the water, as it was a pretty long walk to get to pool or main building in the scorching heat without it. Really nice addition. We aimed to go to the Three Bridges Restaurant one night for those pork tacos she’s been dreaming about since she had them in June, but the one night we could go, they were closed. Next time. I think they wanted to add some pizzaz there once they finished the Skyliner as Coronado still has just bus transportation and it’s a big convention resort. Fine for us, as we had a car anyway. Had a brand new Sonata (which is full size) with just 14 miles on it. Not a bad car for commuting or something. We need bigger in real life. As it was, trying to get all our luggage and the darn golf clubs in there was a challenge even though we tried to pack light (but didn’t/couldn’t, really, having to add in winter clothes and all that). Those in the back seat had to have the golf clubs on their lap, lol. The Bell Services guy was laughing the other day (as he practically dropped our stuff and ran).

What we thought was going to be a relaxing resort trip turned out to be somewhat different when we added two additional days of park tickets onto our stay, because we’d originally only planned just one park day. I think the cold weather, airline cancellations and maybe illnesses caused a lot of people to stay home so there were openings for what were originally mostly sold out. Parks were beautiful! We walked onto most rides (which is amazing at Christmas!) and had just a little wait for a couple of more popular ones - Frozen was probably the longest wait we did @ just over an hour, but totally worth it to see DS sing on the ride. 😝

DD knows how to use Genie+ and Lightening Lane so she worked her magic, but there are still some limitations, like there were with the old fast passes. We did get to do Guardians of the Galaxy and Rise of the Resistance, which was fun, though GotG is maybe a one and done for me, as I didn’t know it spins as well as goes like 60mph forward. (Some warning would’ve been nice! Doing that again first thing in the morning I would not eat much breakfast!) RotR was fun aside from some annoying groups taking flash pictures and fooling around during the show. We’re pretty easy but I could see how maybe a fight could break out with that as people were either waiting in line for like two or more hours in the cold or paying a lot extra for the experience, and it should’ve been really intense and amazing. DS, despite all that, gave it a 10/10. We also had a small wait on Slinky Dog but we had never done that ride before so we said why not. (Loved it.) And of course we did our favorites with no wait as we got there for opening - RnRC and ToT. We got to the front of Runaway Railway and it broke down for a short time, but thankfully picked up again. (Some people had left the line but we waited and it turned out to only be about five or ten minutes.) And DH and I got to do Remy’s Ratatouille for the first time, it hadn’t opened last year when we were there in Sept, but the kids had both done it before. (DS had gone w his gf’s family in November. 🙁) I felt like we got a lot done and never dreamed that would happen. (Always saw parks were at capacity during Christmas.) We did three parks (MK, EP and HS) and DD also did AK.

It was strange seeing everyone in hats, coats, mittens and sneakers or boots. (Though we did have one January trip when we had to wear them too, as well as a FL baseball trip one March where we had to buy coats at the tournament. I actually prefer it over scorching heat but I was looking forward to being open toed with my beautiful Christmas-y pedicure.) Hardly anyone had sandals on. (I did the last day but the sun was out and it hit 50s.) Some people improvised with hotel blankets on. 😂 I felt sort of bad for some of the kids in strollers or being carried, they looked cold and some were not happy about it.

Overall though I was a little surprised and glad to see lots of multi-generation families celebrating together. It reminded me a lot of our last two trips with Mom when she was 92 and 93. I had a cool thing happen that some of you will like. I was thinking a lot about Mom with it being Christmas and us being there, and I remembered how she’d said that being on Small World was “like being in heaven”. I even watched the video of it one night when I couldn’t sleep. She loved dolls and didn’t have many growing up poor. So I got talking to this older gentleman who had a “1st Trip” button on, and I asked him how his trip was going. He said to me, “It‘s like heaven here”, and I nearly died. I mentioned how my mother had said that same thing and he shared with me that he’d just lost his father in Sept at 97! We both got teary and he fist bumped me. We agreed that maybe they had a hand in our meeting and were both looking down on us right then. 😇 I think, for sure, it was a God Wink (as we used to call those type things on the Breast Cancer thread). Loved that.

Christmas Day we went to Epcot. Thankfully the sun was out so it didn’t feel horrible, just a little chilly for those of us used to it. (I’d brought a light coat and jeans so I was fine. Same with the rest of the family. Was really glad I’d throw in some gloves when packing. We did see a few gloves for sale but overall there weren’t many. I heard people asking for them in stores.) Morning crowds were low, we were there at opening. Soarin’ was closed (whole Land Pavilion roped off, not sure if it was a strategy or what to get people down past that area) so we did Test Track first, then went over to GotG. Kids went on that a second time (don’t ask me how, I would have to ask them) but DH and I took a pass, lol. (I always feel the same way the second time on Expedition Everest, just a little nauseas; going forward I’m fine, but throw in backwards or spinning and I feel a little sick. I’m sure it’s the motion sensors in the head.) We hit the bathrooms and did a little shopping in Creations (the old Mousegear), I was able to find DD the Encanto top she was looking for in her size so that paid off. Oh, and I had sent some things from home for fun that we didn’t wear - some Mickey Santa hats and other gear - so I brought them with us to Epcot and found a family with no bling to offer them to and they were happy to get them! (And it probably helped keep their heads warm.)

Hit World Showcase before it officially opened and it was so nice just to be there. I think it’s among my favorite places on the planet. We had to zigzag a little as our time for Remy was later. (And my hip was a little sore as I’d taken a spill at MK the night before in the dark, but only if I walked fast or stopped abruptly.) We debated on waiting in line and then changing out the pass, but wait times were rising before our eyes by the time we got there - we’d shopped a little. DD and I bought capes made in Scotland in one of the English shops, we love them. (Like Claire’s from Outlander!)

DS was also sampling some of the Holiday Festival food and enjoying himself. We did, too. One of our favorites was outside France it was a beef dish with mushrooms and ham, really good. After we tried some of his, DH and I got one for ourselves, too. Then Belle arrived so we got our picture with her. Then we had the pastrami on rye sampler with the most delicious kosher pickle I’ve ever had (I love those) and the little jelly filled donut holes - one each, and all really good. They had a Jewish Storyteller who was funny and sang Hava Nagila with a fiddle, and DD had never heard it before, so she loved that. Our “Christmas dinner” was at the America Pavilion they had turkey dinner w mashed potatoes, string beans, stuffing and cranberry sauce - right up our alley - with some french fried onions on top and omg, it was so good! DS also got the blackened catfish and the cookie. (Catfish was too salty.) Later DH and DS split a bratwurst in Germany, and somewhere they got a Lindzer cookie (maybe there) which we split four ways. (I was too full but put it away and enjoyed it later.) I got a grapefruit beer in Germany as I was thirsty and it was really good. I had also gotten the egg nog beer in America with our meal but I thought it was a regular egg nog, so someone else drank it. (Could barely taste the egg nog.) Warmed up in the American Adventure, or tried to. Put another jacket I had in my backpack over my legs for the show but it was cold and my legs stayed cold! Also tried to maybe nap a bit but that didn’t happen, either, though DH and DD did catch a few zzz’s. (DD always fell asleep in shows since she was little, lol.)

Well this is getting long but I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the boys, Toto and Grady. I was especially worried about Grady being in the loud kennel, and his not being sure if we were leaving him, but when we picked them up yesterday, he was happy and himself. Owner said we have great dogs, which was nice. Took them right for a run and then home. DD gave Toto a bath and I wiped Grady down with wipes, then they just literally sprawled out and went to sleep. We’re thinking they probably didn’t sleep much while there, with all the noise. Toto still seems a little off, it might’ve been all the responsibility he had watching out for Grady while there. 😉 He knew we’d be back. Oh, and I let them out at home, and didn’t see them up on the deck like they normally would be after a few mins. I happened to look out my kitchen window and saw them running around in my neighbor’s yard! Our fence had blown down! Yelled for DD and off we ran! Thankfully their gate was shut and the chicken coop was empty! In fairness though, it had probably been down for days and they just left it like that. 😬 Technically it’s our fence, but still. They have a dog, too. DH and DS fixed it later when they came home from work.

Thanks for sticking with it if you read this far. I’ll post some pics in another post. 🐥 I love talking to people who know Disney! It’s a little hard trying to explain things to people who don’t. Was nice to relive it, so thanks for reading!

This was the view from our room. You can see Spaceship Earth, the Swan and Dolphin and the new Swan Reserve. Tower of Terror is a little over to the right (can’t see here).

At night. Hard to see here but Spaceship Earth changed colors all night until it went off around 1 or 2 am, I think. That was for the 50th Anniversary, I’ve read.

My view while lying in bed. You could also see the reflection of our own little tree in our room.

Sunrise. This was from the Kronos Club so you can see Tower of Terror here, but same view.
