@tazdev3225 Between cleaning and husbands, you and I would get along famously!

Lots of (((healing vibes))) for you two!Hi! Winding down…Tom’s knee replacement is tomorrow. We’re to be there at 7, not bad. I’m able to drive him. I wasn’t sure if I could grip the wheel, and I can. He’ll spend one night. He has an at home PT appointment on Friday.
I am healing nicely. The bandage comes off tomorrow.
I know that feeling. Sorry you're having to deal with that mess too.Just seems like every time I have a plan to get ahead something knocks me back even further.
Hope your DH's neph appointment goes well.SIL and niece have to go to Morgantown again. This is just crazy. They have to go today, again tomorrow and again Thursday. I find it ridiculous that the medical place can't put all of their appts on the same day![]()
Good morning.
Only 74 here right now but it's muggy.
Been busy the past couple of days.
Sunday's craft fair I wanted to go to was rained out. We did go to my son's house, and I had so much fun with LJ. He is getting so big and trying to talk, but he talks gibberish, Spanish and English. He loved the car I bought for him so that made me happy at least. I did not watch the football game and was a little upset that the Eagles won. I am not rooting for them because I don't like the way management has handled certain player situations. I was happy to see Carson Wentz do well and win. He is one of the reasons I stopped rooting for the Eagles. My son watches something called the Red Zone because they all play Fantasy Football, and it gives me a headache.
I watch RedZone when the Broncos aren't on. You either really have to follow along or just skim, lol.
Yesterday I tackled my hall closet. I think I need to join Couponers Anonymous. By the time I was cleaning and throwing things out I had: 80 razors, 42 bars of soap, 24 tubes of toothpaste, 20 deodorants, about 40 bottles of shampoo, 10 bottles of shower gel, 6 Large bottles of Lotion and who knows what else. Most of these things were free or under $1.00. I did manage to get to the top shelf that had a milk crate with papers in it - from 2001-2004. They were all tossed right into the trash truck today. It was nice to get it all organized though. Jay is going to repair the bottom shelf so I can put the bathroom cleaning supplies in there also. The top shelf will be able to hold spare towels. One thing I found though amazed me since I totally forgot buying them. I have TWO 25th Anniversary Disney World Barbies. Not sure what I will do with them as neither of my daughters want them.
You could sell the Barbies on ebay, or donate to a Christmas toy drive. Wow to your stash...I've never had that big of a stash, except for razor blades...when Dorco closed their online store, I bought 6 boxes of the blades I like; I still have 4 boxes left, lol. And I didn't need to buy any cleaning supplies after things started getting tight on the shelves; before the pandemic really hit, I bought a bunch of cleaners/wipes/bleach/etc. It's all almost gone now, but it was good for 2 years to not have to buy any...I'd hit the sales (usually bogo, and sometimes Target gc with it).
Today my DH went to his breakfast and I didn't need to take him. One of his friends is back from his summer home down the shore and will take him every month. I am thrilled because while he was gone, I was able to give the downstairs a thorough cleaning without him underfoot. He thinks I have become a cleaning fanatic and I am just happy to have some control back in the house. He is a pack rat, of things we do not need, like 4 copies of the same movie because he likes it. I have managed to get rid of a lot of stuff while he is out, and he never notices.
Haha, I have two copies of the Hobbit trilogy and the Lord of the Rings trilogy (the extended version) on DVD, unopened; and two copies of The Incredible Hulk, and a couple of kids movies that DS liked, that I picked up one for a gift one year, forgot I gave him it, and bought another one.
Yes, online shopping has really changed things, even with car shopping. A few years ago I had a car dealership that is 75 minutes away offer to have a car I was interested in, driven up to my house so I could test drive it! That was a first! But they were in an area where there wasn’t a lot of foot traffic so they felt it was something they could offer to help stay competitive. I was quite impressed! Later, I asked other dealerships about that possibility and they acted like I was crazy. So it really just depends. All things being equal I try to give my business to local businesses when possible, but it’s not always possible. I hope you can either fix your current fridge or find something else you like at a good price. That was how way back in 2016 we got a better price on my Versa. We found an online offer at one particular dealership. Called them to verify that they would honor it and they said they would. I definitely have noticed over the years that often times online prices can be lower than in store prices. But then, at least out here, store prices among its chain vary by location. Take Target, for example. The Target that’s near Best Buy about 5 minutes away has the highest prices because its location is considered touristy. The Target, dad went to yesterday, by Dollar Tree, in a completely different part of town about 25 minutes away, has the cheapest prices on some things. Never know indeed!you have a peaceful week ahead.
Unfortunately, DS had a relapse this morning, and we were back at the hospital.Have arrived safely in Maine, and DS is doing OK. Thank you all for the prayers and well-wishes!
It seems to have been related to an allergic reaction. - He ate something that he didn't realize had scallops in it. (Ever since he was born, scallops have made me violently ill, and I had previously loved them, so we always figured he was allergic, and that it had somehow affected me as well.)
Anyway, he got dehydrated. His roommates took him to the ER and he had fluids and some medicine and is feeling a lot better.
The latest!
So, Tom just text me to say they will be moving him.
The anesthesia Dr is the same one who worked when he had his lung Worked on. She says he is memorable!
My DSis will be here soon to walk Gus. She will help me remove my bandage.
Things are going very well here in Cape May!
Excellent news, hope everyone continues to feel better and your husband has a good night! Good vibes coming across the Bay to you!Things are going very well here in Cape May!
I'm sorry to hear that, I had no idea that a allergic reaction could double back on someone, that's scary - but sleep is good for a body, I hope it helps him continue to get better.Unfortunately, DS had a relapse this morning, and we were back at the hospital.
We are back at the hotel now, and hopefully on the mend for real. I'm catching up here while he has a nap. Please keep up the prayers if that's your thing.
You made a choice that is going to benefit others, as difficult as it was. I've said it before, but I'll say it again - you've really been a hell of an example of a strong spirit in the face of many difficult decisions & choices.Today the tow company picked up the car we donated to Make A Wish. DS sent a picture of the car and I cried
Thanks. I agree about sleep! It's not actually the allergic reaction itself at this point. He has something called Gastroparesis which seems to make him prone to cyclic vomiting episodes. - If he gets puking, he just can't stop. So the scallops triggered being sick the first night, but since then, I think it was the other stuff.I'm sorry to hear that, I had no idea that a allergic reaction could double back on someone, that's scary - but sleep is good for a body, I hope it helps him continue to get better.
Ah...yes. Funny enough, I also have that delightful diagnosis, among other fun tummy issues. Mine isn't as bad as your son's though, not by a long shot. Continued good vibes going his way.Gastroparesis
