@flyingdumbo127 we have actually gotten a lot less spam calls the last few weeks. I heard the FCC or whoever controls that stuff..is making it against the law for all of those 'car warranty' company's to stop robocalling people. I hope it's true and that they follow suit with all of the others.
Sun is out now,,temp is 83. Breads just came out of the oven, laundry is done, and I am going to rest. My back is sore, probably from helping the handyman put the doors into his trailer , then back out when we got home, and then into the shed. With his neck surgery coming up, I didn't dare let him do it himself. We couldn't even get the guy who sold us the doors to help him out of the store and put them in the trailer. Their customer service really sucks!
I think I told you guys, that I had ordered bras from a company on July 2, and never got them until last week. After contacting customer service every single day, and I didn't stop till I got a tracking number for it.

Off This morning, I just got a package with the 'replacement order" they sent. I got hold of customer service and was told to keep them to make up for all the inconvenience I experienced. I also found out that they are a little shady. Someone else mentioned it on that company's FB page. That if you paid by paypal (which I did), to go in and check your account. She found that somehow, that company had set up autodeduct. I don't know how they did this, because paypal members have to literally go in and add the company and allow it. And I didn't do that. I filed a dispute with paypal (they are looking into it), and I turned off their autodeduct permission. I then went back on FB and told others to do the same. Have had 10 replies to my post in 2 days, all telling me the same thing. Another shady thing, the company is supposedly in Uruguay. That is what was 'taking so long; they were waiting for DHL global to pick up packages. The one I got this morning came from Atlanta GA? Weird!

@footballmouse I love the picture of Miss Miller getting a ride, looks like she's hanging on for dear life, lol

Just cut up a big sugar baby melon we got last week..wow is it sweet,,and it is a big watermelon! Fruit salad for snack tonite coming up!

Off to relax for awhile, after putting some icy hot on my back.

Forgot to include this from this morning, made me think of @PollyannaMom 🐇

We've had so many bunnies in our yard lately. I'm guessing Buddy isn't out there enough to scare them like Bingo used to do. LOL

My younger DS invited me to go the playground with him and the 3 grandkids.
Glad you had a great time with the grandkids.

DD who is in Alaska and was getting ready to get on a cruise, tested positive. Can't do the cruise, so not sure what the next steps are.
Oh no. I hope she didn't feel too bad.

My sister sent me this of my little great nephew with Miss
Soooo cute.

I bought $100 in school supplies @ Target and another $200 in shoes @ Kohls (I got adult sized shoes for teenagers, 3 pair of Converse Chuck Taylor for women, and 3 pairs of Converse Chuck Taylor hightops for men)
That is so awesome of you to do that. I feel like the teenagers are always left out of things like that.

I'm also allergic to fire ants. I got video by many once and my whole face swelled up. I have an epipen for them just in case but try to avoid them at all costs.

Not so much the calls here, but the mail is out of control.
OMGosh it's ridiculous, most of our mail just goes straight to the trash....soo much junk.

@easyas123 that crab Mac n cheese sounds like something my hubby would LOVE. Do you have a recipe or just make Mac n cheese and add crab kind of thing?? LOL

@lynxstch my DH hates both Lowe's and Home Depot for their customer service. We used to have a smaller store(OSH) that we loved. Lowe's Corp. bought them out and closed all the stores. Laid off all the employees with short notice, and didn't even offer them positions in their stores. They were so nice and helpful, probably would've done Lowe's good to hire some of them.

@Kirby how are you feeling? I hope better....and Little Joe too?

DD tested negative last night as did I again today. I need to try and get Buddy a vet appointment, he looks like he might have a skin infection. I need to do it on a day DH is home because it's too hard for him (Buddy) to get in the car by himself nowadays and I'm not much of a help. He's seeming so old lately... :guilty:

Honestly - it's just crab dumped in regular old mac & cheese. Here is what I did....
Husband had picked crabs from 1/2 bushel he caught Saturday morning, they were steamed medium w/ Old Bay. When I say picked - didn't sepearate claw, backfin, lump or jumbo lump. It wall went into same container. I had him fill up a 2 cup measuring cup full of crab meat,

My mac & cheese recipe is pretty basic - 4 T of butter, 3 T of flour, 2 cups of milk, ground mustard and ground pepper. Make up the bechamel and add 2 cups of cheese. I had on hand some mild cheddar and a cheddar/colby jack mix so that is what went in. Add that to 8 oz of cooked pasta and stir. At this point I dumped in the crab meat. As I said it filled up a 2 cup measuring cup and I'd say it was maybe 3/4 of a lb? I should have measured. Anyway, fold in the crab meat - dump in a casserole dish and bake until top is a bit brown and bubbly.
I do the same with shrimp on occasion.

Happy almost Birthday to your sister, Pea! :hug:Always heartbreaking when a beloved furry friend goes to Heaven. Thank you for being such a kind and loving neighbor to them.

PollyannaMom, :hug:and I'm sorry you are inundated with junk mail. We definitely receive that, too. What annoys me sometimes is I have no clue how I got on a list or when I have politely reached out several times to an organization to please stop solicitating me and save their money to use in helpful ways, every so often, I get unwanted mail for them that goes straight into the trash!

Lynn , I also hope that will pass! Very glad to hear the number of unwanted calls to you has decreased. May it remain so! Yikes, much prayer after going through all that hassle you like what finally came!

:grouphug:🙏to your entire family, AuntieMe3 both human and :dog2: ITA about older kids often being left out or not as well planned for in terms of an event. Sad!

Easyas, hug to you as well, of course, and I hope you did enjoy your lunch.

We got our mail and packages this morning. Still waiting for a MIA book to come through the mail.

Have a good rest of the afternoon, everyone.

Yeah for cooperation getting in at least! We know the struggle. :cat::cat:

Been there done that! We put ours in the carrier and put a towel over the top. Never a sound until we get there, and then the yowling starts. How do they know? They can't even see where they are, lol. If I have to take one to the vet, I always put the carrier on the floor in the kitchen the night before. They will , 1 at a time, go up to it, maybe climb in and look around, and then come out. Probably wondering which of them is going to be the 'lucky' one this time,,lol Hope your furbaby does well at the vets. Let us know~

For sure!
He has an infection and now has 10 days of bland veterinary cat food, antibiotic, probiotic. He's caught up on all his shots and had bloodwork done and his white count was very high, but he was negative for all the bad things. He also had a shot of anti-inflammatory stuff.

He's comfortably sleeping it all of right now and DD has a bill for $764.61 to submit to her insurance. I actually paid it up front and she'll fix it later.

My son has a cat maneuver for getting them into the carrier. He stands with his back to the carrier and holds the cat between his legs and the cat backs into the carrier while trying to get away. I put the carrier on the bathroom vanity and closed the door so he can't get away, then back him in.

I also have a top opening carrier and it's easier, but it's getting really rickety so I'm trying to use the nice and newer ones.

@Kirby how are you feeling? I hope better....and Little Joe too?
I felt much better today, thank you! Lil Joe does not have chicken pox. Took him to the doctor. She said that the spots look more like ant bites. So guess what we found in his room? Ants!!! They apparently had decided to move in while he was at his dad's and we didn't have a clue. So DD stripped his bed and cleaned his room of the ants. DH spread poison around the outside of his room, there was a large ant bed by one of his walls. Fortunately he didn't get bit all that much, just a couple bites each night, just enough to make you wonder what might be wrong with him.

Lou Lou decided she was a puppy dog for a good part of the day. I had to mail some bills/cards so out she walks to the car on all fours with shoes not only on her feet but her hands. Then later I was washing my hands in the bathroom and she touched my foot with her hand. I wasn't paying too much attention and she did it again and said " Mamaw, when I touch you like that it means that this puppy needs to go outside to the bathroom." 😄 And she would have too if I would have let her. I just told her that this puppy dog already know how to use the toilet and off she went.

Hi! I missed 5 pages and can't catch up so will just move on.

Saturday started with a 10 mile bike ride. The DS, DDIL, and Marty came up. We went to Longwood Gardens and saw the Illuminated Fountain Show. They came with us to church Sunday, as did DD and her 2. That was so nice to all go to church together.. Then we went to Crooked Hammock in Middletown for lunch. It is a casual restaurant/brewery type place. We sat on the patio outside in the shade, right near the kids playground. It was all very pleasant. Then went to DD's house for DS to see.

This week DSIL teaches Music and Drama camp at our Methodist camp and DGD is going to day camp there. I have Carter all week.

All this keeps be busy and tired out.

Any word on @frog3101 's custody decision? Hope everyone is well. I may skim what I missed, or I may not.

One last check for the night. So glad I did so!

Precious Lou Lou, Kirby and quick thinking on your part, grandma  with your puppy answer! Praise God on Lil Joe so thankful he is okay. Yikes and a big yuck to the ants, of course! Poor Lil Joe and, of course, all of you to deal with them.

:hug:to you as well, Carol. What a blessing to attend church with more of your family! Please say thank you to your DSIL from me for teaching the camp.

Sweet Dreams to all!

@Judique DD who is in Alaska and was getting ready to get on a cruise, tested positive. Can't do the cruise, so not sure what the next steps are.

Sad and disappointing, sorry to read this. I hope she is not too sick.
She had cold/allergy like symptoms but now is feeling well. Thanks for asking.

@Pea-n-Me Sorry about your friends dog. It is hard to lose a beloved furbaby.

@Judique Hope your DD feels better soon. Good to hear the cat is better.

@Kirby Ants are awful. I hope Lil Joe feels better from the ant bites soon.

My spreadsheets still aren't fixed at work so I will be in a holding pattern with that today. I am ready to go but IT just hasn't gotten back to me. I hate work issues as they are never easy to resolve.

I took my walk this morning and it is nice and cool. I sit in the gazebo for a few minutes and meditate and talk to Chris. It is nice to do that outside with a nice breeze.

Off to work.

Have a good day.

Hi! I missed 5 pages and can't catch up so will just move on.
I try to read everything with the best of intentions to reply. Maybe when winter rolls around. I have a 'Lynn' schedule today and still in my pajamas.

I love sitting in my gazebo and watching the birds. My DD's father comes as a cardinal in my mind because he used to love seeing them as it reminded him of his parents home. One old and craggy guy is the one I see as him. He always looks at me and then goes for the seed, while the others are more skittish.

My breeze comes from the box fan I plug in out there. It really makes it much more comfortable.

It's warm and muggy here right now, but going to 89. The rest of the week is all over 90 with highs to 95.

My basement dehumidifier has stopped draining automatically. There's a little arm of some kind that is supposed to work but I haven't figured it out yet. It worked fine before it didn't work anymore. Every night I wake up and if I'm conscious enough I go to the basement and empty it, then I sleep like a baby. It needs to be emptied several times a day. I may just go get a new one and be done with it if I can't make it drain through its hose today.

Good morning all. Heat wave back starting today, and we had more rain overnite. Can tell we've had a little more rain, the grass is almost turning green again, and it's growing faster.

@Judique --LOL that you are having a Lynn day today. Had the same issue with an older dehumidifier, pain to keep emptying it several times a day. I recommend saving yourself some time, and going to get a new one!

@Breezy_Carol --this is what Frog posted Friday evening--
Good afternoon Quacker family. I don't have a lot of time to write (will try to check back later and respond to more posts) but wanted to let you know...the ruling came in this AM.
It was in my favor!! I have primary physical custody of the kids!! That is all I was really concerned about. He will get them every other weekend and one evening a week from 5-7. He also will get them 7 days at some point before school starts. I have not been this happy in months. It's still going to be an adjustment, but I am SO grateful it has worked out this way. My lawyer said it's really the best we could have asked for. There are some child support things too, but I really just cared about the custody. It's a temp ruling as we still have the rest of the settlement to agree on, but this is a big step forward. And, my lawyer thinks it will stick. Thank you all for your prayers and please continue to send them for my kids. They still have a lot of healing to do.

We are all so happy for her!
Today will be floor washing day, since there is no rain predicted for a few days. Mud got tracked in again the 2 days it rained, and needs a once over. Then it's grocery making list, and gathering trash.

Nothing else new here--

Have a great day everyone

Happy Tuesday! :sunny: Heat is starting to come back this week.

Went to my workout yesterday afternoon and then last night I went to my Pilates class. I guess Mondays are going to be hard workout days for me 💪. I think Thursday when I workout I'm going to start off on the treadmill and then move to the rowing machine. Yesterday the rowing machine kicked my butt and I barely had enough energy for the treadmill at the end.

I ordered a harness for my dogs over the weekend and it was delivered yesterday. I tried it on both of them and it fit pretty good. I need to tighten the straps around the chest area a little more but I think it helps them walk better. We went for a test walk (just a couple of houses up from mine) and they seemed a lot calmer, Boomer didn't try to pull my arm off like he normally does. I think we'll start on short walks & build up to going to the park.🐶:dog:

Pea-n-Me all the bread you made sounds really delicious. I haven't made bread in a long time. Sorry to hear about Toto's friend.

Judique glad to hear the cat is doing much better. I feel your pain when it comes to the cat carrier. I had to put Twix in one when she went to the beauty salon last month and it was a mess getting her in there. I'm already dreading her bath appointment in a couple of weeks.:cat::crazy2:

That's about it for me this morning, back to work. Have a great day and stay out of the heat!:smickey:

Bobbiwoz🌸 and prayer you are feeling well this morning. Thinking of you!

Pea, prayers for an easier Tuesday for you!🌼
To Pea and Lynn, thank you both for reminding us of Frog's :dogdance:update! Frog, you and your family are sure in my prayers.

:hug:and continued🙏Prayers, Judique to your daughter and of course, you, too! Paws and good wishes also for your kitty today.

:grouphug:Snowysmom, ITA with Lynn about being in limbo especially when you just want to be done with something. To you and Judique, I love the peaceful sound of relaxing in a gazebo! What a lovely way to begin the morning.

PollyannaMom, thank you always for your🐈reports. They truly make me smile. Love that you take each of them on a walk!

Lynn, please keep cool :umbrella: and remember ALL your chores don't have to be done today. Really

Footballmouse, :grouphug:and :cheer2:good for you for sticking with working out. Proud of you! Don't over do it especially in this warmer weather.

Warm morning already here especially inside our apartment which just doesn't have much air circulation. I'll be turning on the A/C shortly for the first time for a little while to do an initial cool off so when dad comes home from doing laundry and Ralph's it will hopefully be a dash cooler in here for him.

My missing 📕through the mail came last night around 7:15! What is so odd is that we never did get mail shown on Informed Delivery for yesterday. Before noon yesterday was when we got older mail from Saturday. Dad did see last night a semi regular carrier for a minute. We shall see what the 📬brings today. I hope each of you get some happy mail later.

Love to all. I will check back later.

Thanks, we both are well, and home from spending an hour exercising and chatting with friends at our swim club. Most neighbors here are only part time, and short term renters are present in many houses. So, it’s at the pool where we see friends daily.
