Good sunny morning all. Yet another perfect weather day in store. I think I am going to mow today and get that done. Getting to the time that I can mow it just once a week instead of twice. I think everyone was mowing yesterday, all you could hear were mowers, weedwackers going, saws going, and kids yelling and playing. Sounds l love to hear on the weekend.
No other plans for the day..going to put a roast in the crockpot for dinner tonite, and have potatoes, carrots, and zucchini with it

Have a lovely day everyone

Hello and happy Sunday to all.
I am happy to report that the move went very smooth. We had a lot of great help. I still have prob a truck and car load left, but I’d say 95% of the stuff is moved. It’s def. ot all sorted, it at least the furniture is moved and it is in place where I want it to go. I plantomtake my time sorting and putting stuff away. Thankfully the house has a large garage and all the stuff can “wait” there. There is also stuff to clean out/sort that the previous people left. I have plenty to keep me busy for awhile.
my kids seem to be doing ok overall. I think it won’t really hit them until we start staying there. my sons are having a little. It of a harder time as their dad has been telling them to lie/not tell me when he has his girlfriend around. So confusing for them and just plain wrong.
Anyway, hugs to all who need them and I hope everyone has a good Sunday.

Saw this on Pinterest, and it reminded me of the talk of mice, and Disney mice especially, here. Mickey & Minnie are obvious, of course, and I recognize the ones from The Rescuers and Cinderella in the middle row, plus Basil of Baker St. in the lower left and Timothy from Dumbo in the lower right. Anybody know any of the other three?

Hi all.

I am so behind. Will catch up later.

Just wanted to drop in and say, who wouldn't love a church where the pastor starts her sermon with how she loves to fly a kite and starts singing (From Mary Poppins) "Let's Go Fly a Kite" and the congregation joins in.

Good Morning friends :)

Dad and I just finished the lollipop puzzle. It's bright and cute 🍭

I haven't yet watched worship from today, Carol, but am smiling already! I love it!

Those look like stickers, PollyannaMom! Great picture. I hope your kitty crew gave you some extra rest time this morning!

Hug, Lynn, the sound of children happily laughing and playing truly brings me joy to hear always.

:grouphug:Frog, how terrible! No one, especially a parent, should be encouraging a child to lie to anyone especially another parent. Sadly, I was in a similar situation as a child at times in different ways. Prayers for all of you, my friend.

Thinking of you, Snowysmom and Dazed.:flower2:

Enjoy the day everyone. I'll check back later.

I finally read all the pages I missed. Just know I am thinking of everyone through their good times and bad. My feeble memory can't keep up.

Thursday we drove down to DS's house through lots of storms. DS and DH left for the Orioles game and drove though rain. Got through the entire game in beautiful weather then drove in rain coming back. DDIL and Marty and I went out to dinner and the rain let up so we didn't get rained on going in or out of the restaurant. We had some nice chats.

Friday DS went out and bought donuts from Sandy Pony Donuts. Then we left for the Mormon Temple. Very interesting walking tour through 7 floors of the building. It was beautiful but I am not planning on converting. After that we all went to Bethesda for lunch at a sit down taco place the kids like. After that we said our good byes until we meet again at OBX in 2 weeks.

DH and I headed up to Longwood Gardens for an enjoyable evening.

I volunteered to DD that we would take the kids Saturday so they could start packing up some of the clutter in their house so pictures can be taken Monday for them to list it for sale. They got a storage pod delivered to their driveway to start packing. We picked Carter and Tessa up about 9:30 and went to our local library for Touch a Truck. Carter did not like the horns and sirens but Tessa liked it all. We played in the kids room a little then came here for lunch. Carter napped and Tessa watched Zootopia while I worked on dinner for everyone. They played in the yard a while then DD and DSIL came up for dinner and to take them home. Needless to say, after 3 busy days, I am taking it easy today.

Like I said earlier, church was run today celebrating Pentecost.

flying into Ft. Myers
Such a nice little airport.

my sons are having a little. It of a harder time
How old are your boys?

QOTD 1: Have you ever had your picture taken with two Disney Characters at one time?
QOTD 2: What two Disney Characters would you most like to have your picture taken with?
This required research. I had to look back at the pictures from our family trips in 1992, 1996, 2000, and 2004. (We were on the 4 years plan.) Lots of pictures with 2 kids and 1 character. I found one with both kids and 2 characters for The Jungle Book, I think. Not too famous. I found one when DD and I had our pictures with Chip and Dale when we went on a girls' trip in 2006. That's the only trip I found any of me with any characters and they were all with DD too.

QOTD2 - Lady and Tramp or Pumba and Timon.

Backstory on the girls' trip. DD was in her 2nd year of college and home on winter break. She had been having an on again/off again relationship with her high school boyfriend. We wanted to keep them apart. LOL So the two of us went to Florida to visit her grandparents and then to WDW for 2 days. We did the Princess Lunch in EPCOT because she loved the princesses and she had lots of pictures there. Also the oldest little girl. We had a fun trip and luckily she did not marry that young man.

I am starting to cook food to freeze and take on our trip to OBX in 13 days.

I enjoyed reading your entire share, Carol, thank you. I had to Google "Sandy Pony Donuts." That name sure is unique. They should have a pony-shaped donut 🐴

Quiet afternoon, thankfully here. I did hear some parade noise earlier. By now, it's long past our immediate neighborhood and moved further away. FedEx even managed to get through with a package from Walmart. 🚚

Wishing all of you a good evening and AuntieMe3, rest of the afternoon, too :)

Frog Glad your moving day was very productive. I hope you can feel settled once you actually move into the house. Sorry to hear your husband is asking the kids to lie. That is not good at all.

Back at DS's house now. I unpacked some more stuff at the condo. As I go through my clothes I am putting some aside to donate. I did that as I sorted through them the first time but I am fine tuning it so I don't have too much stuff. Younger DS came over and put the clock that Chris and I have had for decades on the wall. Then he took my recycling over to the bin. We met a mother and daughter in the parking garage as well as their dog. The dog is 15 years old and acts like a puppy. They live 2 floors below me and knew the woman I bought the condo from. They are happy with living in the complex. Then I went to DS's house for lunch and to see the grandkiddies. Younger DGD always wants to play hide and seek. We played games too. Baby Sam just slept the time away with Mommy. I did not hold him as he was so comfortable with Mom I did not want to disturb him. Next time I get extra snuggle time. Older DS came home early from work, DDIL and kids were away, so DS and I went out for dinner. We went to a nice Mexican restaurant. I had the chicken burrito bowl which was delicious and enough for at least 2 meals. He is kind enough to take me out to dinner now and then as he knows Chris and I went out every Friday night.

The allergies here are awful. I was out walking and could see clouds of pollen in the air. I am so stuffy. I could not sleep well last night between the stuffiness and taking some med for it. I have trouble with real sudafed and usually take the next level down but DS only had the real stuff. I was desperate and took it. I won't do that again. I was up 4 times for about a half hour each time. I miss Chris when I am up at night as he always kept me company when I had trouble sleeping.

Have a good evening.

@Snowysmom So glad you met people (and doggie) today! That’s a big step! I’m glad you got to have a nice dinner with just your son. @FROG Glad things went smoothly. Thinking of all. 🐥

Busy work weekend. Didn’t eat for 19 hrs, too crazy and never had a chance to stop. Very sick Covid admission, my heart went out to him. 😟 Have a busy week coming up, too. But highlight will be seeing Paul McCartney at Fenway Park. This will be our third time seeing him there and fourth altogether. DS and I had been talking about how much we enjoyed the previous shows when shortly afterward I saw he was coming again, so jumped on those tickets early. Splurged a bit on great seats since we have no upcoming vacations planned other than a staycation. (Though DD is going to WDW at the end of this week w her bf and I’m hoping she has a wonderful time, she’s been working so hard!)

Tonight DH made a chicken tortilla soup. It was good. We crumbled some tortilla chips and chopped up some pepper jack cheese for the top. Had a little bite to it.

Grady is learning to play with a ball. He didn’t know what to do with one when he came to us, but we‘ve been teaching him. DH looked out in the yard yesterday and saw he’d gathered up several balls from the yard and brought them to the front of the deck. We were really blown away that he’d done that! (DH sent me a video while I was at work.) Tonight he was chasing balls and bringing them back. Really glad as the running will help him build up muscle over those bones! He’s already filling out a bit. Here are some stills from the video. DH was in the house so they were shot through a screen, ie a little blurry.

Top Row: Roquefort (from The Aristocats) & Mortimer Mouse (from Mickey's Rival)
Bottom Row: Dormouse (from Alice in Wonderland)

Clearly I've watched way tooooo much Disney in my life! ;)

Good morning everyone. Another picture perfect weather day, but going to mid 80's. Calling for rain tomorrow. I just watered the garden , plants, flowers, etc..just in case it doesn't. We are getting almost to the point where we will get no rain for most of the summer, seems to start almost as soon as I put the veggies in

Didn't sleep well last nite, no idea why. I was tired, but tossed and turned till almost 4 am before falling asleep, woke at 7:15 to 3 cats on the bed nudging me to get up and feed them. Spoiled little things, lol

No plans for the day yet, have to find something to do outside. Maybe I'll clean out the shed, so when the handyman finishes the ramp, I will be able to drive the mower into it.

@Pea-n-Me --yeah for Grady learning to pick up the ball and bring it back. He's settling in and becoming part of the family fast! Enjoy the concert!

Have a great day all~~

Good Monday morning!

Worked all weekend so I don't have much to talk about. Yesterday morning I grabbed 2 hours of sleep when I got home and then decided to go out and cut the grass. Got done in time to get a shower and then make it out to Ds1's soccer games. He plays with 2 teams on Sundays and the games just happened to be back to back yesterday.

frog - glad you got all moved in.:thumbsup2

Good job Grady for learning to play ball!⚽

Have a great day!:wizard:

Mine are spoiled, too, Lynn - one tried to wake me up at 4:30 this morning! (But I was in bed by 9:30, so still way ahead of you.) Hope you get a nap today!

@footballmouse, I don't you how you do it on so little sleep, either!

I had a great morning. I saw a new doctor who was able to excise a cyst that has been giving me trouble. She and her nurse were so nice, and made me so comfortable. I tend to be very nervous about all things medical, so it really meant a lot to me how sweet and calming they were.

Then when I got home, I found a Dunkin's bag on the table with "Mom" written on it and a chocolate doughnut from DS. He had gone to get breakfast before work and picked it up as a surprise. 💛💛💛

Yay Grady :dogdance: He's so cute, Pea. Hug for you and prayers always.

How sweet of your son, PollyannaMom, i love that he surprised you that way!

Always nice to see you post, Lucky Rabbit :)

Footballmouse, I hope your son's soccer games went well ⚽

Lynn, please get some rest today! The chores can wait. Really. Taking care of you, can't! :)

Waving hi to you, Carol! :)

Have a great Monday everyone. I'll check back in later.

So far I have done 5 loads of wash and have banana bread in the oven. Put the toys away from when the kids were here. Finished making shredded chicken in home made BBQ sauce and freezing in gallon bags to take on vacation. And went to PT. Taking a break now.

Grady is really making alot of progress. I love that he collected all the balls. When we first got Jasper he had no idea how to play. Chris taught him to chase the ball and bring it back. We also got him alot of toys and showed him how to play. He learned to love his evening play time running down the hall chasing a ball or a toy that would bounce around crazily. I picture Chris and Jasper playing ball now.

The allergies are still very strong here. I am so stuffy and tired. I have to walk during the day just to get some exercise and clear my head but it is making me miserable to be outside. I hope the pollen goes away soon.

I am planning on starting to stay at the condo Father's Day weekend. It probably is not the best time to start living alone but it seems to be the time that fits everyone's schedule. Father's Day will be a total nightmare this year. I will try to spend part of the day with older DS and part of the day with younger DS. It will be a hard day for them and for me. After that I have our wedding anniversary in July. Talk about a nightmare. I have been yelling at Chris alot today. I even got so angry I pounded the desk and scared the poor dog. I am finding as we get to more first special days without Chris I get more angry that he would not take care of himself. The kids and I agree that he did not take care of himself and it led to what happened. The lesson here is, if you have sleep apnea use the CPAP, if you are having breathing or heart issues see the doctor, be active, and watch what you eat. Take care of your self so you can be there for your family. Vent over. You can tell today was an angry day for me. I need to go through this too so I can get to some peace. It don't see peace coming soon but I have to work on it. Living alone is so daunting for me that I yell at Chris and let him know the results of his decision. Plus when I see my older DGD sad sometimes and my younger DS missing his Dad, or see a new grandchild, it really makes me so sad and then I get angry. I feel like Chris has been helping me with things like the condo and selling the house and other things that have come up. But, I need to let him know bad decisions have consequences for more than just the person making the decision. Thanks for letting me rant. Things are getting a bit overwhelming so it helps to vent a bit. I do journal too so there is alot of anger and sadness in that. I am also hurt that he would not share his worsening symptoms that I could not see with me so we could work as a team and get him diagnosed and treated. My younger DS told me that Dad was just hoping for the best so he kept it to himself. My therapist has been helpful with things. She encourages the yelling if that is what I feel I need to do.

The grandkids are home. I hear the yelling and crying and toys flying. Time to go brave the madness. Have a good evening.
