@Pea-n-Me--glad you enjoyed your dinner,,but it's not something I would eat. I can't stand mushrooms, though Mr L loves them, lol!

We got to 48 degrees today, even though they said it would only get to 37. Mr L took a nap, and I spent some time walking outdoors..went up a couple of streets and then back down..got my exercise in for the day. Between that and all the housework, I hope I sleep well tonite!

Have a lovely evening everyone

I wish I could send Mr L a plate then! :rotfl:

Turkey burgers for dinner. I have to make them and will make enough to freeze for 3 more meals.
Hey, that's what we had as well! Only had a small bit of ground turkey so only got two additional burgers out of it. This evening I mixed fresh spinach, dried cranberries, mushrooms and a shredded carrot into it. I had some jalapenos in the freezer, but forgot to add them. I'm not very good about getting enough vegetables and so if I can shoe horn them into a meal I will
We just made this for dinner.
Looks good!

Speaking of veggies - has anyone here ever made a roasted onion? We've had a recipe for a few years we found and saved - but never made, of a baked/roasted onion from the early 1800's. Just recently rediscovered it and thinking of trying it this weekend. Speaking of this weekend what's everyone got of the menu for the Superbowl? Keeping it very simple here, just some wings and pico de galo w/ queso & chips. I'll be in bed by or before halftime anyway.... Speaking of wings -It seems every year they trot out the "panic! there is a chicken wing shortage!!!" just before the Superbowl, and I was not disappointed this evening when scrolling thru the channels I saw someone flogging the upcoming story!

QOTD: What's on your Superbowl menu?

We are still tossing around changing our trip from this spring to later this year. Don't want to - want to go now, but it just seems like thing will be opening opening up some more by the time we get to summer and I just want to enjoy the trip, not feel limited by additional regulations. Ironically we originally had a Christmas markets trip for this year booked, then changed it to this spring - now it looks like we might go back to a Christmas Market trip, or if not that a trip over the December or early January timeframe.

Looks like we are going to have some warmer for here weather over next few afternoons, which is nice. Sunday looks gloomy and cold. Might have a fire down at our fire pit on Saturday. Welp, back to the Olympics, have a good evening everyone.

easyas, I would be interested in how your onion turns out.

QOTD: What's on your Superbowl menu?
Not sure that we will watch the Superbowl. I do want to see the Budweiser horse commercial that I've heard will be airing. I've found the commercials pretty bland that last couple of years. I imagine we'll have burgers and fries.

I haven't watched much of the Olympics. I fell asleep during them Sunday afternoon and watched a little last night. I like the Super G. When did the figure skating take place? I think I've already missed them.

Nothing much up here. I did get to catch up with a good friend which was so nice to talk to her. My Superbowl menu will be the same as any other day lol. Not into 🏈 I do hope those of you who watch truly enjoy, of course. I remember pre pandemic at church, the teens would have a Souper Bowl Sunday fundraiser. People would bring different types of soup to be sold and tasted. I think a big soup pot or some type of large bowl-like container was used for donations.

🙏all of you enjoy a good night's rest🌛

@easyas123, I think you and I are kindred spirits. We tend to do a lot of the same things.

@Pea-n-Me, I think that dinner sounded yummy.

Lou Lou told me today that she wanted to be a detective and needed a spyglass.
Does she watch Mira the Royal Detective? Tessa does and we gave her a Mira costume for Christmas and bought her a big magnifying glass for her upcoming birthday.

QOTD: What's on your Superbowl menu?
It will just be the two of us. I don't have anything special planned. I'll have to ask DH what he would like.

I remember pre pandemic at church, the teens would have a Souper Bowl Sunday fundraiser.
Our college student fellowship did an annual sub sale. Walking into church on Superbowl Sunday you could smell the subs all through the church. Since COVID, they have a fundraiser at the Newark Capriottis Sub shop. This year it is March 1, Shrove Tuesday, they get 20% back on all subs bought when Wesley Foundation is mentioned. We will get dinner there that night.

Good night everyone.

Good Morning. Early day today as I go to the house to take out the trash and check things out after I work. It is supposed to be warmer today.

I don't watch the Super Bowl so no special menu here. Older DS may have it on the TV but not a big deal here.

Have a good day.

QOTD: What's on your Superbowl menu?

Will be rooting for the Bengals in this house, since none of our teams made it. I think it will be pizza or wings for dinner, haven't decided yet. Will look and see if Aldi's or Walmart has wings today, that might make my decision, lol!

There had better be a good Budweiser one, I don't think they had one last year?

You missed the team competition, which was just okay. We got the silver medal. Then I think you missed the mens short program for individual medals. No other figure skating has been on as far as I know.

Good chilly morning. Its 21 out now, will be going to 55, I'll take it! Today is grocery and errand day. Already took trash down and fed the cats. Just waiting for Mr L to do what he has to do before we leave. I like to be at Aldi's by 10 or so, and Walmart shortly after. Otherwise it gets too busy, since we don't have a lot of shopping choices here.

Watched Olympics last nite, snowboarding and downhill something or other. Neither are my cup of tea, but Mr L wanted to watch them.

Have a nice day everyone!

Happy Wednesday everyone! :sunny:

Holy moly, it was 40 degrees when I left the house at 6:00 this morning . So used to it being 12 degrees, this was nice.

Ran to the store after work yesterday and grabbed everything I need for Sunday. Which leads into the QOTD, we will be having Jack Daniels BBQ pulled pork sliders on Kings Hawaiian buns, Skyline chili dip (it's a Cincinnati thing), bagel dip, bacon wrapped cocktail weinies in the crockpot, various flavors of cake pops for Ds3's birthday. Add in some Royal Crown whiskey for his 21st birthday party, we should be set.party:

The electrician came last night to finish up fixing the hall light fixture and the bathroom exhaust fan. It's so nice having them finally fixed, now I can paint the bathroom.

Watched some of the Olympics when I got home. Saw the skiing, snowboarding and finally was able to see Nathan Chen's amazing ice skating routine. Not sure what I'm going to do tonight since The Amazing Race is on and the Olympics :scared:. Decisions, decisions.

That's all I have today, hope everyone has a great day. :hyper2:

Good morning, all!

Haven't planned anything special for the Super Bowl, but will be heading out to the grocery store in a bit, so will probably grab some frozen apps and make it a grazing meal. Pre-covid, DH's Lodge used to have a Super Bowl party - but as far as I know, it hasn't been brought back yet.

I have a couple of other errands while I'm out this morning, then I watch the twins after school, and am meeting a friend for dinner on my way home from their place. Should be a "pleasant-level-of-busy" day.

Yesterday was the first day of an on-line class I'm taking on the 1970s. I signed up because it's sort of a gap for me. - We never got that far in history class in school, but I was too young to actually remember it. :rotfl: I'm fascinated to learn about the things that probably shaped me without my realizing it.

Good morning.

Have the laundry started. Going to go to WW and weigh in. I'll probably be over goal but will at least try. Next week is Superbowl and Valentines, then the next week is Tessa's and my birthdays. Let the eating commence.

Watched Olympics last nite, snowboarding and downhill something or other. Neither are my cup of tea,
Neither DH or I are very interested. We turn it on each night to see what's going on then get bored and change to something else or Netflix.

No decision here. Amazing Race the definite winner.

We never got that far in history class in school,
OMG! I graduated high school in 1971 and you are studying it in history? I must be as old as dirt.

On to my day.

I graduated in 72, so you really must be old as dirt! :rotfl2:

Anything you can’t figure out @PollyannaMom, just let us know!

QOTD: No special menu for Super Bowl. Don’t usually watch it unless the boys are here. If so, then we’ll have something, not sure what yet. I have been itching to make Eggs Benedict my way with my big 12 egg pan, but not sure whether that will be Saturday or Sunday. Breakfast type foods may be on the menu this weekend, though.

On a work stretch. Enjoy the rest of the week, all! 🐥

Good Morning friends and Happy Wednesday.

I was born a bit later than 1972 :)

Nice and sunny here again, hooray. Dad has a doctor's appointment this morning which of course I'm keeping in added prayer. I still need to decide whether I'm going to see the new dentist for a cleaning a week from tomorrow. I've rescheduled once already because I got to see my old dentist before he retired one last time in later November. The plague here seems both static and worse at the same time which I know is a contradiction but true. My cousin in TX just got over Covid, thank God, following a dentist visit! So that was closer to home. I'm keeping this in prayer and ask that all of you please do the same for me. Thank you :grouphug:

Have some fun today, everyone and please take care!

I was born in 1972.... :scratchin:duck:

I graduated in 73. Not quite as old as dirt yet. LOL!

Born in 1972, yikes! I got married in 1976!
I am old enough to be your mother.

:rolleyes1

Well. At least I'm older than @easyas123....I was born in 1971. :duck:

Well, our a/c and heat are working now, as are the outlets on the kitchen island. Ant problem gets handled tomorrow. Then it's just a few smaller things they need to fix, and I will be satisfied. About 50% unpacked; can't put up the books until DH puts the bookshelves up, which he'll get to next weekend.

Friday, I'm running DS and DD#2's BFF#2 to the airport, going to spray the old apartment oven with overnight Easy Off; and stop at Sam's Club to get some things. Ran acorss a deal where it was $45 to join, but get a $45 gift card to Sam's in 4 weeks, so it's basically free. Even if the only thing I buy there is laundry stuff, it'll be worth it. Also, need to run to Home Depot or Lowes for a few more things to fix up stuff around the house.

Saturday, we are cleaning the rest of the apartment.

Sunday, we need to hit Publix/Target in the morning, and then watching the commercials and maybe the game. :rotfl2:

For Super Bowl, it depends on what I run across at Sam's/Publix/Target. I'm thinking veggie with dip, and idk what else.

Dinner tonight is bacon and eggs and toast. Tomorrow is burgers, sweet potato fries, and veggies. Friday is pork tenderloin stir fry. Saturday is probably leftover stir fry, I'm going to be too tired to cook, or takeout.

Oiy, I'm off to run another load of laundry, make our bed (we've been sleeping on the mattress...don't judge me, I just couldn't find the box with all the sheets, lol), find the hooks to hang my pots and pans on my bakers rack...and...then maybe nap. Have a good day, all!
