Good day everyone -

Hoping things work out okay for Lynxstch today...

Not much going on with me today. Pleased with how the venison stew I made last night turned out. Eldest son & girlfriend are in Arizona this week on vacation and some of the photos I've seen are beautiful, can't wait to see more photos and talk to them about what they thought of the area when they get back. Might have to play car shuffle (take one down, bring another back) when we head to Florida at the end of January. Already got flights, but at least they were bought w/ points so no loss there at least. Not sure what we will do....we have a car down there that we want to bring back up here and exchange with a car we have up here. I could also just do a car transport. Just trying to figure out logistics. Neither of us want to drive other car back north. It's a tiny car and my husband can't stand riding in it for more than a hour or so. Maybe the auto train? I don't know, we will figure it out.

I need to get started on my Thanksgiving lists. Thanksgiving is my super bowl, my most favorite holiday and I enjoy everything about it. Depending on how things shake out we are going to have between 7 & 15 people. Of course, I'm hoping for 15 because I just love a house full for Thanksgiving! If they end up coming over my little brother has already volunteered both the pumpkin & apple pies. He has a way with a apple pie. I'm considering adding shrimp bisque to my menu line up but have to experiment with making it a few more times - maybe I'll do that on Sunday?

going to er please send prayers
Prayers lifted up.

Kirby, that is good Covid news regarding hospitalizations. Prayers it continues!
I heard on the radio this morning that we are down to 1,000 hospitalizations in all of North Texas.

Can I join you?? :teeth:

It's sunny, in the 60's and very windy today, 20 - 30 mph, with gusts of 50 mph. My car was rocking at the bank drive through a little while ago.

When I went to the grocery store yesterday, I noticed that stew meat was $11.99 a pound. Stew meat??? I wasn't planning on buying it anyway, was looking for something else. So, QOTD - What meat prices have shocked you lately?

Praying for @lynxstch

I'm off to the farmers market and then Target with a friend this morning. I have a root canal at 2p and I'm not looking forward to that. :scared:

Sorry to hear some of you had power outage and storm damage. I hate bad weather...I really do. I guess I live in a good place for that since we rarely have anything other than hot and cold... I mean it can get REALLY windy but I'm used to it by now.

DH is on a conference call and it's giving me anxiety....lol I keep trying to leave the room he's in and he just keeps following me around where I can still hear him. I'm hiding into he bathroom now unti my friend gets here....

Me too....I love cooking Thanksgiving, it's so easy for me too. We will be having DHs nephew and his GF join us. So there should be 6 all together unless any of our friends kids choose to join us. Our friends will be out of the country for a work trip that just so happens to fall over Thanksgiving week. They are going to do a Thanksgiving dinner before they leave but I figured if the kids want to join us day of they are more than welcome to.

I haven't noticed any difference yet but I'm sure I will soon. We're still getting Hello Fresh meals occasionally and I've been trying to use up my freezer stash. I cooked some ground turkey the other day and it was kinda gross so I ended up chucking it. I bought some more of that at Costco and it was the same price as I usually pay. I have noticed many other things going up in price though. Also the other day at the store I noticed not a lot of availability of store brand products which I usually get. Almost everything was out and I had to get the pricier namebrand stuff. Ridiculous.

Anyway....hope you all have a good day and hope to hear some good news from Lynn.... :grouphug:

:rotfl2:AuntieMe3 to hiding in the bathroom. Sorry my friend but that is funny.

I don't eat meat (dad does) so don't know about prices on it. I will say it seems in general some items are going up and becoming harder to find again. Thank goodness overall, supply is fine.

Continued prayers to you, Lynn!

Sorry wasn't clear. I am in the er. Heart rate was almost 190. Might be in observation for 2 days. The plus was I got the cutest ER Dr in the hospital and the CCU nurse I know from when Mr L was here 5 years ago. They say I have Afib, might have had it for years and never known till now. Started meds and rate is down to 114. Will try and answer more later. Just waiting for my room. Thank you all for the prayers and concern. I love my quacker family

😂 that's turning lemons into lemonade! Enjoy that Dr.!
I do hope they get you settled and set up and comfortable soon for your own sake. Every day is an adventure....good luck with your possible new condition. We'll continue to keep you & Mr. L in our thoughts over the next few days.

It's been one hell of a work week. We had a kid come into the store and ride around on a bike with 2 guns in his backpack on Monday. We had to evacuate tonight because one of the electrical boxes detected smoke and it triggered the fire alarm, so we had to go out near the gas station rally point till it was time to go back in....then apparently there was an old woman who was threatening to kill people at guest service later on. It's only Thursday, lol.

Found out the other day that a good friend's husband has covid so far she and their 5 children which range in age from 11 months to 11 years old have stayed clear. I have told her via text to let us know if they need anything even if it's going and picking up an order at the store and then leaving it on their front steps and calling or texting from our vehicle.

Lynn take care of yourself and let step daughter manage Mr. L. Would it be easier if she temporarily had him stay at her home that way she just had to run over to care for any animals or ask a neighbor of yours to do so along with keeping an eye on your house.
