Good day to you all. It's been several days, so I've tried to skim thru the last few pages, but I'm sure I missed a lot!
QOTD: What is your go-to drink, and how often do you drink it?
During the day I drink a lot of water, I don't mind unsweetened ice tea once in a great while, but I'm not a soda pop drinker. I generally have a glass of wine in the evening, and on the weekends sometimes enjoy a vodka club or martini.
Lynn, hope you had a nice birthday and anniversary! And hope your back is feeling better soon.
Ditto that, hope your back has ceased bothering you so much -
Had to check with DS to make sure the President wouldn't be on the bike trails. That is where he rides when he does
Funny, we have a similar problem down there with one of our jobsites...we need to take video and photos with a drone often and when Biden is in town they jam up the signals that allow drones to fly.
Where do all of you get seasonal placemats?
I LOVE a good wander around Home Goods/Marshalls. They have such different/interesting stuff. Old standby is Kohls. Used to like to check out Pier 1 as well.
Watched 1/2 of the Disney WDW 50'th annivesary special
I meant to record that but ended up forgetting all about it!
Anyone reading anything good right now? I need a new book idea
Regretfully, not at the moment. I've hardly had time to sit down much less read, although in truth that is my own fault for not
making time. Now this time of year I'm often up in the big tractor for hours at a time. My husband put a bluetooth radio/speaker thingy in there so I can play audio books thru the speaker to help pass the time. Most recently I've listed to The Great Mortality

unless you count rereading Harry Potter
Another go-to for me if I can't find anything else!
he's looking at a Subaru Forrester.
My Mother had a Outback station wagon. It was a super comfortable car. I have another family member with one now and they love theirs.
I made reservations for my SIL trip in March. I'm so excited to have this trip to look forward to!
We have travel plans this March as well, and we are soooooo looking forward to going come hell or high water!
So - we've been busy, just the usual fall stuff that keeps us busy. Grape harvest is half over as well. We are having a 50th birthday party for my husband this weekend and I've been busy sweating over the details. This coming weekend we also take possession of our new foster dog/puppy. Appears she may have some (not unsurmountable) health issues which will see us up at the specialty vet practice so that ought to keep us busy. I'll be hosting Thanksgiving this year for family that will be around. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday and I love the hustle and bustle and full house and all the prep & cooking and everything that comes with it.
Tomorrow afternoon I am on the road, but tomorrow evening I am doing a enforced "chill-out". Husband and eldest will be hunting down in southern MD so the dogs and I will have a quiet house with no one to prepare dinner for. Maybe that will be a great time to crack open a new book. Or work on my Thanksgiving lists

I have a meeting in-office this afternoon, a meeting at a jobsite down near the DE shore tomorrow afternoon, and another meeting down at the DE shore at another jobsite Thursday afternoon. In between that I need to go shopping for all the food needed for a big party and work on those arrangements. I am taking Friday to tie up loose ends, and meeting the water guy over at eldest new house- we are gifting them the whole house water system/filter/softener whatever it is for the new house. Water there is terrible, but now that the well is drilled we can get moving on that so that they can have that installed ASAP after settlement.
Dinner this evening will be pork chops, not sure if they will be grilled or baked or what. I'll figure that out later, right now I consider it a accomplishment that I remembered to take them out of the freezer.
