Hello all!

Just got back from the store, to pick up something I ordered a few days ago, new Lion King bedsheets, hehe

It's been a boring one again today. We live in a shared house (eww eww eww), and one of the guys is moving out, so the landlord keeps coming in and out with others to show the place around, and I just don't want to run into him, it's just awkward, I don't do chit chat, so I just stay in the room, and when they leave I'm running around downstairs with Dettol wipes, haha, to wipe doorhandles.

I've got a box of shortbread mix, and been wanting to make these, but can't seem to find any energy.
Boyfriend has the day of on Wednesday, will do it then. It's easier when there's someone else to do something with, rather then doing things alone (for me that is).

Catching up on some Neighbours episodes now, in 2019 I managed to watch 3 years of episodes, in like, 7 months *auch* haha.

I was never a huge sports fan

I won't lie, after 5 straight years of the boys playing on HS soccer & tennis teams, and then one of them playing soccer in college- after that I was ready for a break! As adults they dabble in a bit of completive fishing and the occasional shooting competition but I don't go to those- I just get the repeated play-by-play once they are home and retelling stories of their glories or fails to their father!!

I wish I could pull off just one of those hats! No matter what hat I try on, they don't seem to suit me.

Catching up on some Neighbours episodes now,

Tell them to hurry up shooting the 10th season of Doc Martin already! I can't wait to finish it, although I'm pretty sure I'll be waiting at least a year if not two!

Sorry! I was making a joke...it's a British TV show, and Neighbours while yes - not British - reminds me of it somewhat!

I did watch the rest of Chasing Waterfalls. It was predictable but had very pretty scenery throughout. I also thought the young girl actress did a good job.

Lynn, you do an amazing amount of stuff. So do you, Easyas!

Carol, the violinist did a wonderful job! I also, as always, so enjoyed the worship service from yesterday.

Moorhunhe, I was thinking about shortbread yesterday. A friend of my Dad's who passed a way several years ago, a long time ago and only once, baked the most amazing shortbread cookies ever! So good. I hope you enjoy yours.

It will indeed be strange to dress (other than my standard daytime PJ's, robe, etc.) for church one day. I have heard that one church friend whose probably in her 70's, every Sunday at 10am (regular morning service time) is freshly showered, dressed up, and ready for church (virtually, of course).

I've never been a big sports fan either though growing up I truly enjoyed the Dodgers and for a few years in college became a Braves fan for a bit.

I started to watch Chasing Waterfalls last night

I would like to see that but it conflicted with basketball and I am sure I can catch it when it reruns.

Carol, the violinist did a wonderful job!

I thought so too. So talented.

Just took a nice almost 3 mile hike in Fair Hill. Things are still pretty brown but some green starting.

Evening everyone. Was a nice day today not that I went out.

The kitchen needs the baseboards and we are done. I ordered the floors yesterday before I fell for the rest of the downstairs. They will match the kitchen. I wanted to start going through more stuff to get rid of but fate had other ideas for me today.. My palms are both bruised although the left hand is worse than the right. My knee is killing me. If the swelling doesn't go down tomorrow I may go to Urgent Care just to get it checked out. My left knee has had 4 or 5 surgeries and it is my favorite knee to screw up. A friend reminded me that last year in Disney I managed to run my foot over with my ECV and managed to fall on that knee then too. I am consistent.

I have my grandson's tomorrow but it is getting nice enough out that I may soon start letting them walk home again. The 2 little guys like to get a ride but it is good exercise and they don't have to walk that far.

Good morning all. Going to be another Spring temperature day, mid 60's with a chance of a Spring shower. Fingers X'd that winter is finally gone and we won't see another snow flake till the end of the year!

Hubby almost slept through the nite, except for the hour he was up between 1 and 2, but it's an improvement!

Today will be planting tomato seeds, and I am going to at least wash all the inside of the windows. Little paw and nose prints seem to keep mysteriously appearing in them, lol!

I added a few things to my 'to do' list,,it always seems to be easy to make it longer, and not so easy to make it shorter, lol!

That happens here too, but at least they're tiny little nose prints. My friend's "puppy" is now huge enough to reach his favorite front window. Yesterday's printscape was quite a masterpiece, and she said she'd had to clean it three times over the weekend. - Spring has arrived!

Good morning - almost mid day - to you all.

Dropped Cali off at vet this AM for her spay, and then had to head to Dover to drop some stuff off at Corp. accountants office. Vet has already called to say she is well and out of surgery...and the senior partner (original vet) in the practice who used to raise bulldogs and is super familiar with the breed did her surgery! So glad to hear she was in extra special hands this morning! I'll be picking her up later this afternoon.

It's such a nice day out, a bit foggy this AM, but the sun is burning it off.

Grilled chicken breast over...salad for dinner tonight. Boy, it seems all we do is eat meat/fish du jour over salad these days. I mean - we like it. It's easy, especially in the warmer months when we are outside a lot and can cook something up quick. But I gotta think of something new ha ha! Did pick up my husband a turkey hoagie from Wawa for lunch so he can get a break from leftovers for lunch.

Good Afternoon. Nice Spring day here hope you all have some nice weather where you are.

The knee is feeling a little better. The swelling went down some so that helped. My little guys wanted a ride home this afternoon but I told them they can walk today. It isn't a long walk and the fresh air could do them some good after a long winter cooped up in the house.

I do think the lovely weather needs to chase the black cloud over me away though. I used the dishwasher yesterday for the first time and it isn't working properly. It did clean the dishes but wouldn't drain and I don't think the pump was engaging. Of course they can't send someone out to check until April 1st and I may need to replace the unit. Unfortunately the dishwasher I bought is on backorder til JUNE!!! That means a new brand or a cheaper dishwasher. After 2 phone calls yesterday that didn't resolve anything, a botched delivery and another phone call this morning I am not happy with the store right now. In the mean time I have water sitting in the bottom of the dishwasher that i still have to try and get out. I need a vacation.

On the bright side I did order the flooring for the rest of the downstairs. I need my son and grandson to get it for me because the boxes are too heavy. I can start cleaning out the dining room and start the painting anyway. Originally we were going to replace one wall. I decided to shore the paneling up, and my grandson agreed we can just use the nailgun where needed, and then we will paint over it. The wall is over 40 feet long and in the entry is about 15 feet high Drywalling that wall would be time consuming and expensive.

@tazdev3225-sorry to read that you fell again, but that your knee is a little better. You do need a vacation, especially after all the work you did on that kitchen,,and now moving to the floor and dining room. I hope you can find a decent dishwasher sooner than June. That's the one appliance I miss here in MD, which I had in MA, but we just don't have the space for it. And it's just the 2 of us, so not a lot of dishes anyhow.

@easyas123--glad to hear that Cali had a good vet doing her surgery and keeping an eye on her!

It was sunny out, now it's cloudy and looks like rain. I did get my tomato seeds planted. 7 varieties, and I started 10 little pots of each. I only plan on putting in 6 of each, but have had a few people ask me for plants if I had extra, which I always do,,so I started some for them. I gathered the trash for tomorrow, repainted the pole the newspaper delivery box is on, and did laundry. Off to fix lunch and maybe work on my puzzle, or take a nap, or both, lol!

Good morning all...just got back from dropping one of our pups off at the vet too. They are doing a catheter and ultrasound to see if he has some kidney stones that are causing him problems or if its a prostrate issue. While they have him knocked out, he'll finally be getting fixed. When we got him he wasn't fixed and then we just never did it. Our other guy is fixed but we had him since he was a baby so he had it done young. I think Hubby was just worried about it being done when he was older. Vet said in the long run, it can only help, especially if it is a prostrate problem. Need to call at 3:30 to see when we need to pick him up.

When I came out of the vets office, it was raining... so crazy, it was beautiful out yesterday, a little chilly but the sun was shining and no wind. I'm not sure if it was in the forecast and I just wasn't paying attention or not but it was a surprise to me.

@tazdev3225 what a pain about your dishwasher. Can you put a couple towels on the bottom to soak up some of the water? I had to do that in our fridge when it was freezing up inside and we had to thaw it out.
