crafty (not as in sly, lol)
organized
patient (for the most part, but not today, lol)

And right now I will add, ticked off..just spent 2 1/2 hours, trying to get Outlook into hubby's new laptop. We have it in the desktop, and I renewed our Office 365 the other day to the family version so he could have Outlook and Office in it. Everything went in fine, but outlook would only work on outgoing mail, incoming wasn't working. I spent 1 hour with online support, while she tried to talk us through it. I knew it was in the server settings, and we put exactly what it said they were on our desktop, but it kept 'not finding server'. She gave me the toll free # to call to talk to someone and have them remotely access his laptop.

In the meantime I called our ISP and got recordings telling me the same exact server settings and ports were already putting in. Pressed 9 to talk to someone,,and after 20 min of awful music, I hung up.

I tried calling Microsoft, only to get a recording saying phone support wasn't being used, to use online support. Back I went to online, clicked the CALL ME NOW button,,it said 6 min. After 30 seconds, I got a nice lady with a French accent. She basically did exactly the same things we did, but she pushed one other button on the remote thing (she did it so fast I am not sure what button she hit), and voila, it now works. But why do they have to make it so hard? When we got this new desktop, I had the same issue trying to get Outlook to work on it for him..it took Microsoft more than half an hour to get it working. I use Thunderbird, or our ISP email..but he doesn't like either of them, to each their own, lol. And of course while I was on the phone with Microsoft, our ISP called back, but I didn't put Microsoft on hold to answer them. Covid is making it impossible to get a human at our ISP, for anything at all!

So now I have a headache, and to top it off,,they just gave us a winter storm watch for Wed nite into Thursday for 5-8 more inches of snow..with some additional possible on Friday. Guess we'll have to go to the store tomorrow so I can make sure
we have enough cat food to make it till Sat/Sun if necessary. I have been giving the outdoor cats extra since it's been so cold.

Dinner is going to be leftover spare ribs from Sunday nite, along with salad and maybe rice, haven't decided that far yet, lol

Tuesday QOTD: Describe yourself in three words.

 (someone call Easy and tell her to send...) Lawyers, Guns & Money!

At least that's how I feel after putting out a few fires this morning!

A judge ordered against a city , and for us today - that only took 3 years and a lot of $$$ on a lawyer
A fiery Come to Jesus meeting finally saw myself & a another person in our organization come to a agreement on a big sticking point that was actually
something imposed on us by a food processor we do work for.
I pulled my back hauling on my new office furniture yesterday. I knew I shouldn't have done it, yet I did anyway. I felt it this AM and it's no ones fault but my own, 110%!

and according to my husband, who just got home...the dogs sacrificed a large container of cheese balls I left on the counter today...again, my dumb fault. I knew I have a counter surfer and I forgot to put them up. Dogs will be okay - they've got strong constitutions. I wonder if they ate them on my new rug? Or maybe the oriental my grandmother gave me? Or maybe they enjoyed them on the dog beds I just washed?!?!?

Today was brought to me by the letter S, for Self-inflicted!

Generically I'd like to think of myself as helpful, dependable and occasionally spontaneous.

Dinn
er this evening will be flounder, baked with a salad.

Thanks for reminding me, I need to get some more food for the barn cats - I'll do that tomorrow morning first thing.
I hope the snow holds off a bit east of you - I have a meeting down near the DE shore Thursday morning and I'm hoping to get back up to the office by noon.

Another snowy day here. We are expecting another 3-5 inches of snow. It is light and powdery so far.

Yay for LJ coming home. He is adorable.

I read some books over and over again. I especially like Jane Austen with Pride Prejudice my favorite. I do watch older TV shows, mostly the comedies. They are funny and comforting in a way. I have a DVD of the 1982 Masterpiece Theater version of Pride and Prejudice which I love. I think it is the best cast, acted, and faithful to the book.

3 words for me would be impatient, kind, and quiet.

QOTD: 3 words to describe myself
Planner, baker, teacher

QOTD: reread or rewatch shows and books
yes, i have reread a few books, usually, at least 5 years later and although i remember the main plot, i forget some of the side characters and enjoy reading it again.
movies - yes, I’m like a poster earlier, if flipping channels and i see certain movies, i will rewatch parts of them, or if i have a day off to myself i will rewatch some of my favorite movies
The Blind Side. The American President. Definitely , maybe
Secret of my success. My Cousin Vinny. oh and so many more

Oh i wanted to add, Breezy Carol. I have not seen the movie yet, but read the book several years ago. “Hillbilly elegy” . At the time I really enjoyed it. Now, my sister says to ban watching the movie because it is not portrayed well and the guy who wrote the book, is more out for himself now then helping people in the region, that there are other better books out there,.....whatever, I think it does an adequate job of telling about this region to the rest of the USA. It wouldn’t have happened to any of my immediate family, we took care of our cousins. But i could see it being possible with my distant family, especially now with the Opiod crisis here in Ohio, Indiana, WV and PA

Those are sunny and lovely flowers, Kirby, perfect for us Quack-ers in fact (yellow color) 🐥 Look forward to seeing you again later, my friend :)

I tried to watch A Novel Romance. The main actor was intentionally deceiving of his true identity to his actress love interest in the story. I do not do lies! There is nothing I value more (outside of I pray, being of faithful service and joyful witness to Christ)than kindness and honesty! I miss the Christmas movies! These Winter movies are not doing much for me at all.

Wishing all of you a cozy good evening.

Good morning all. First --good news to report--Lily can come home today! I hope that they have the meds straightened out so that they work better this time.

Second- a little more good news-we are downgraded to a 'winter weather advisory', for a total of 2-4". I can live with that!
Its a mild 34 outside. Last night they said 'when the cold comes before the snow, it's a perfect scenario for a lot of snow.' Well I don't really consider 34 cold so maybe they will be right with their forecast that we will get less.Rdb38b9a0ecc0880a9b1fc2a29e3e987d.gif

Going to the store this morning for milk, cat food, and a few other things, just in case. Then we may not need to go this weekend.

@Kirby, what a nice picture of your daffodils, gives some of us the hope that Spring will not be far behind for the rest of us. I do have some buds on the trees, lilacs, and magnolia here, but I think it's still too early for that!

Have a great morning everyone!

I thought i would post a few valentine decorations. the cute gnome mat i ordered on Jan 16th, suppose to come by Jan 24th, just arrived yesterday on Feb. 9th. I originally bought 2, one is for my sister, but i already sent her package out earlier this week. Apparently, in Germany, Sweden, and other European countries gnomes are everywhere during the holiday seasons

Good morning all.
My meeting tomorrow morning is getting changed to a zoon meeting, and now I'm challenged with setting up a zoom meeting for the first time.
I realize in the realm of difficult it doesn't register, but I detest this type of thing. Oh well, it is what it is. My nephew tells me "any idiot can get one set up" so I've got moderate hopes for setting one up myself :P

I wanted to share my first flowers of the yea

Nice! I planted some daffodil bulbs last fall, and I'm really looking forward to seeing them come up! I hope I can recall everywhere I put them...just kinda put them here & there, around some fence posts, and other areas. I think I planted some grape hyacinth as well - I wonder where I planted them?!?!

Good morning all. First --good news to report--Lily can come home today!

Good news, hope everything goes well for her!

valentine decorations

I'm afraid I'm a bit of a humbug over Valentines, but I can appreciate a good gnome! When I was a kid my mother had a big encyclopedia of gnomes book, and it fascinated me! It detailed their lives, how they built their homes...it was pretty in depth and cool to go thru as a little kid. I wonder what ever happened to that book????

So another busy day on tap today. One thing I'm looking forward to - I'm taking a painting of my grandfather to a conservator to see about having it cleaned and then I think I may have it reframed. I am curious as to the price as I've got three other larger paintings my same artist that hung in my grandmothers home for the longest time, and I have had them for at least 25 years but they've been in a closet ... I've been hesitant to do anything with them as I was pretty sure it would cost me a arm and a leg, and while I love that they were painted by a family member a long time ago, they aren't exactly to my taste, and don't really go with the "look" of my house. But still, I do hate the fact that they are moldering away . Anyway, looking forward to seeing what this guy has to say - frankly I was surprised that there was someone in our rural area who did this, figured I'd have to take them up to Philly or something, so I'm doubly happy to have had a recommendation of someone near by.

Turkey burgers this evening, and I've taken a roast out to thaw for dinner tomorrow night. Looks like a terrible weather weekend ahead, and I'm afraid we may be inside for the majority of it, which doesn't thrill me.

Off to get my work day started - have a good morning everyone.

Good morning.

Quick fly by before I go get my vaccine.

@Kirby, the daffodils are so pretty. Can't wait to see them here.

@lynxstch, so glad Lily is coming home.

@sparkle78, I like the Mickey and Minnie Jim Shore's.

'winter weather advisory'
That's what we have too for 1-3 inches overnight.

I'm challenged with setting up a zoom meeting for the first time.
You can do it! I have faith in you.

I wonder where I planted them?!?!
Every spring day will be a surprise.

Catch you later. QUACK!

QUACK🐣 and Good Morning to all!

Such a wonderful news, Lynxstch! Praise God! Extra hug for you, my friend as well, yay.

Prayers for a smooth vaccine process, Carol and that you feel okay afterwards!

Sparkle, such cute Snoopy and Mickey and Minnie images. I am not into gnomes but the mat is cute, too, thanks for sharing them all with us :)

Easyas, I know zip about Zoom myself. I have not had a need to use it and have preferred not to. I do appreciate that it can for sure be super handy for many right now! I hope your meeting goes well.

Wishing each of you a wonderful Winds-day! pooh:
