Thank you for the birthday wishes! It ended up being a good day - morning was a little frustrating, but then Josh had gymnastics. We got there early and didn't want to go in right away, but then we saw a familiar car pull in. It was one of Josh's preschool friends, with his mom and sister (the sister takes a competition class that's at the same time as Josh's makeup class). So we quick got our masks on and went inside to say hello and chat for a moment. They live in a different town, so the boys won't be going to school together in the fall

(BUT...the mom's grandmother lives on the same street as us. As long as I've lived here. So they can still see each other quite often!)
After class, we ordered dinner from the Italian restaurant, so I got my shrimp parmesan. Josh got his cheese pizza and ate THREE slices - which is amazing because he never eats that much, and I myself can only eat 3 slices of pizza at a time! Then I opened presents - my mom gave me 2 Life is Good t-shirts, one with flip-flops arranged in a flower pattern, and one with "Mama" and a bear on it. From Josh and DH, it was a Star Trek birthday - a "Search for Spock" book (like a Where's Waldo, only you look for Spock instead of Waldo), a "What Would Captain Kirk Do?" book, and "The Autobiography of James T. Kirk." (The Trekkie in me is itching to get out to Riverside Iowa, to find the "Future Birthplace of James T. Kirk" monument. I'm a nutter

) The only non-Star Trek gift is a "Mystery of the Museum" escape room game. Love it all!
Woke up feeling a bit crabby today, though. Age usually doesn't bother me, but today it hit me and it's bothering me a little. Plus my doctor's office called late Wednesday - after hours (

) to tell me they have to change my next month's HRT follow-up chat to a phone appointment and please call back to reschedule. I haven't called yet and I'm not going to today - too crabby, and I have a hard time over the phone anyway (everybody sounds like the adults in a Charlie Brown cartoon to me). I could do without that appointment anyway. I've been in the program for 3 years now, but nothing has changed, so it's become a waste of time. My mother, still in Illinois over 700 miles away, was trying to order something on
Amazon this morning but couldn't figure out how to "change tabs," so she told me to sign in and complete the purchase. I tried, but security blocked me because I'm using a different computer...we had to try 6 times before I could get in, and then the stuff wasn't in her cart on my end, etc. She ended up calling them to finish. She also told me that she ordered a "wifi booster" and when it comes, I need to hook it up and "figure out how to use it." More junk that we don't need that I won't be able to figure out (because I'm NOT tech-savvy at all!) Josh is complaining that his stomach hurts...probably all the cheese he's eaten and he needs to potty
How about:
Have you ever done yoga? And if so, do you love it? Hate it? ???
Josh and I do Cosmic Kids Yoga on YouTube every other day. It's probably not like real yoga...it's a British lady who tells a story while you do the stretches and she moves pretty quickly. My favorite one so far has been the Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone one (she condenses it down to 30 minutes). The biggest problem I have is that when you're down on all fours, and you lift one leg behind you and reach back to grab your foot, I can't do it. My legs and arms are REALLY short...I remember as a child having to do that in ballet class and I never could, no matter how flexible I got. I also cannot touch my forehead to my knees anymore (standing OR sitting). You really do lose flexibility as you get older, don't you...? Or maybe it's just the big lump of fat belly in the way...
