Good Tuesday morning :daisy:

Should be another nice day today, think I'm going to sneak out for a walk later this morning.

I think you're correct about your assumption. That was my exact thought also, I kind of saw what was coming at the diner scene.

Just an update on the chicken and noodles dinner that I made last night, I posted the recipe if anyone was interested. It was really good! Only thing I would have added was some pepper. I also thought maybe I should have made some biscuts to go with it but they weren't necessary. It was kind of like eating a thick chicken noodle soup. I will definitely be making it again.

Ended up cutting the grass yesterday after work, never did get the urge to go and walk. I got called for a job interview for tomorrow, so we'll see how that goes.

Nothing else happening today, just my hair appointment. That seems to be my highlight every month, :sad2: I really need a more exciting life. Have a good day! :flower1:

Since last Friday I have gotten motivated to walk a bit. I've done half a mile, 2 miles, a mile twice and then maybe 3/4 this morning.

I can't do it in the heat, but if I dress for it I will tolerate the cold a bit more. This is my kind of weather here in Maryland right now. Except for the weeds along the road on a couple of vacant lots. There are signs for the owner to come clean them. The weeds get my allergies going.

Can you tell us what store you found frozen noodles? And, I love black pepper! That's a given on almost anything I eat. Maybe I'll make the biscuits and then use them with cream chipped beef for a breakfast treat that my daughter loves.

his morning, I lifted Carter, which I have done many times, and I did something more major to my back.

Yikes - that is no fun. Especially with travel coming up for you later this week - hope you can resolve it at Dr. today!

I am not sure I can wait until the Spring when the house should be ready to sell. I may go a bit crazy before then.

I get that, I can imagine being both spurred into action to be busy and keep moving. I think your sons seem like very supportive men, and I think they have a lot of good points about not rushing into anything. I hope you are finding some peace, if even just a snippet here and there in these early days.

Appt went well, and social worker came in before the Dr did. She is going to fax all the stuff to the 3 drug company's, then we just wait for phone calls and letters to see if approved, which she said we should be. Then they will send 90 days supply of each drug.

Good news, glad everything is going in right direction for him! I can't understand some of these drug prices - I was on a new RX and it was $19 after insurance. Dr. decided she needed to double to dosage, and the price went up to $163 after insurance! Made no sense! I found a GoodRX coupon that brought it down to $75 but still - I could see if it doubled - but to go up that much!?!?!

Anyone watch NCIS? What just happened?

I was going to link a news article I read this AM on it, but the link gives a hint as to what happens, and I couldn't figure out how to change it and still post it so I deleted it. I didn't see the show, although I've seen older episodes. I think your concern is well founded!

the fall color is a little ahead of Mass, so here are the promised pictures

Beautiful! Thanks for posting them.

Can you tell us what store you found frozen noodles?

Yes, I'd like to know, too! I somehow got to 49 years old but never discovered frozen noodles! I was thinking of making a stew-like meal this Sunday, and might try this!

I found them in the frozen food section of my grocery store (Kroger), I'm thinking maybe where the frozen ravioli would be.

Good Morning :)

Beautiful pictures, PollyannaMom! So glad you had a good trip! :)

Not into any of the NCIS. I did know someone on one of the shows though. Hope those of you who are, enjoy.

Lynn and Carol, I hope you both are feeling better this morning!

Easyas, I hope you especially, my friend, and your pups, too, got some rest last night and enjoy a quieter day today.

Judique, I'm not an extreme weather person period lol. I don't do well in the heat and can get cold quite easily as well. CA weather really is ideal for me overall that way.

Footballmouse, wishing you a better day, too!

It was sure windy here last night. The lights briefly flickered but thankfully stayed on. Dodgers lost night. Dad is sure hoping they do better today.

Prayers each of you has a good Tuesday🐥

P.S. I hope you are okay, Lynn! You have not posted yet. Big prayers that maybe, finally, that means you got more sleep last night!

I am losing it. I swore I posted this morning,,,but I forgot to hit post reply, lol

Good morning,,cloudy and 65 now, going to 73
Haven't watched NCIS yet so can't comment on what happened.
Not a whole lot more sleep.
Gathered trash, brought up clean litter boxes, defrosted chicken breasts for dinner. Mr L is going to cut them into chicken tenders so I can put breading on them and bake them quicker.

Making grocery list for SIL to shop tomorrow.

Have a nice day

:grouphug:AuntieMe3. Praying for you! Feel better, my friend. Thank you for rescuing our thread.

Such a quiet thread this Tuesday! I sure hope all of you are busy in a good way or better enjoying some R&R! :)

Dad went to the post office so that is taken care of. Thank you all for replying to my PM.

Dad also did pick up books for me from the library. I didn't realize they would mostly all be big, heavy, thick books 📚 I'll have to see if any of them are available as E-books. I am not a fan of E-books (computer reading) but holding a big, thick, hardcover just isn't enjoyable for me. We don't have any kind of E-Reader and honestly so prefer holding a book! I am realizing that may limit me on books which isn't good either. We do have an old tablet but it's not up to date (doesn't do much anymore). Would that be the lightest and narrowest (to hold) way for me to read from the couch rather than sitting here in this awful chair at the computer a bigger book over a few days online?

I know some people who love their Kindles or other E-Readers. I just have always thought those were wider, heavier and while lighter than a heavy hardcover book, would still not be as comfortable to hold as a paperback. I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Waiting for mail to come here. Expecting paperback swap books so I do want it to come.

:grouphug: to all!

Good evening.

My back felt much better when I got up this morning, Not back to normal but on the way.

Went to the doctor and really got no answers. I know enough anatomy to know this isn't following anything usual. Not sure where to go next . May try a cortisone injection after vacation.

I had a shift at the Welcome Center at church today. There was a staff luncheon off site so I was in charge of the building. :scared1: At least there to answer the phone and let people in.

@PollyannaMom, beautiful pictures. Thank you.

This is my kind of weather here in Maryland right now.
I may have asked before but where in MD are you? I am in Elkton and @easyas123 and @lynxstch ar both in MD too.

I was going to link a news article I read this AM
I did read an article on CNN that confirmed my fears (about NCIS).

Not much going on tonight. Did laundry today to prepare for packing tomorrow.

Feel better, Carol! Have a wonderful trip, too. Cool that the MD Quacker contingency keeps growing. I do hope post pandemic all of you get to meet up and that of course, further out, we get to have our Quacker meet out here, too.

Have a good evening everyone! :)

Happy Hump Day! :cutie:

Finally tried on some dresses for the wedding. I decided on my first choice. They only had burgundy to try on but I want to get it in navy. I'll go ahead and order it Friday.

I work at a hospital and they do a ton of research. One of the studys coming up is for overweight men (20-30 yrs old). They want to study men who haven't had weight loss surgery to men in the same age range that have. I told my son about it and he said he was interested. The minimum weight was 230 and it pays $100 for a 90 minute appointment. We knew he was losing weight but he got on the scale last night and since he was weighed this time last year at the docter, he's lost 50 lbs!!!!! He didn't qualify for the study! :cool1: He cut out a lot of pop and the type of work he does doesn't leave him with much downtime (flooring installer). I'm happy he's lost the weight, since he's been around 16, he's been the bigger of my 3 boys so I know this made him feel good about himself.

Not sure what I'm doing for dinner tonight. I have a job interview after I get off of work so that will put me getting home a lot later than usual.

Have a good day!

Good morning...

Slept well last night. DH has been home since Sunday so its been nice having the three of us under the same roof again. He leaves again tomorrow for a long work weekend.

Allergy wise, I'm feeling better but my teeth are bugging me so that may have contributed to my overall yucky feeling the past few days. I have an appointment with a new dentist on the 25th. I still have my wisdom teeth and they sort of shift in and out(from wherever they come from...lol) every once in awhile. Most of the time they don't bother me but occasionally they really start irritate my mouth. Last time they were a problem was Dec 2019 and my dentist had to cut away some of the gum in the back of my mouth, it was so irritated from the wisdom teeth being out. I was literally traumatized by that appointment(hence the reason for a new dentist), I never scheduled to have the teeth removed as suggested before Covid hit and I didn't want to have to deal with a dental appointment during that. I hope my new dentist is a nice, gentle one...I'm so worried I'll have a horrible experience like last time.

Off to a nail appointment this morning and then taking our truck in for a service.

@Breezy_Carol sounds like a fun adventure. Hope you have a great trip.

@footballmouse beautiful dress. Love the color.

Have a wonderfully fun trip, Carol!

Huge congratulations to your son, Footballmouse! I'm so glad you will be getting the dress in the color you prefer :) Lol, I do agree with Carol, that I'd probably have trouble putting it on as well. I've tried on different types of sleeve tops before and somehow they always get mixed up! Then again, I typically stick to simple crew type tops all-around. With my TMJ, collars don't work for me.

As always, Lynn, please continue to take care. I am so glad you have your SIL to help out!

Hug, AuntieMe3, what a horrible dentist experience. I'm so sorry :( I truly hope you feel better quick, too!

Packages came around 6 last night. Mailbox mail showed up around 8pm. I did get the books I was expecting. Never do still know about the mail around here. Grateful it came :) Cool morning. I'm wearing long sleeves. I'm not sure how much of that is because it is truly cool in here (probably not so much) or more likely, me--with those cool flashes!

Happy Wednesday everyone with love.

Easyas, I hope you especially, my friend, and your pups, too, got some rest last night and enjoy a quieter day today.

Thanks - we all got some needed rest - a good nights sleep is like gold sometimes!

My allergies have been terrible so I haven't felt great.

They've been cutting corn & soy beans around here, and my eyes have been driving me nuts. One of my dogs gets to sneezing this time of year as well!

We don't have any kind of E-Reader and honestly so prefer holding a book! I am realizing that may limit me on books which isn't good either.

I fought against a Kindle like a little kid having a tantrum, kicking & screaming. About 6 or 7 years ago my husband got me one for Christmas. Mind you - I didn't ask for it! I didn't want one! But after I started using it a bit I came to appreciate the usefulness of it. Admittedly I'm a huge reader, and often our vacations are a vehicle for me to read a book per day. But there is no getting around the lack of bulk when packing that the Kindle allows for. I use it sporadically at home - I still favor a physical book, especially if I'm reading outside- but these days my flights are longer and sometimes my (work) trips are short so the Kindle really becomes helpful there. They also have tons of free books. Often I am taking my laptop with me since we work even when on vacation, so to limit hefting 20 tons of stuff in my carry on and luggage I have switched to only taking my Kindle when traveling unless I know I'm going to have a lot of outside downtime at a pool or beach. I gotta have a real book at the pool or beach:tongue:!!! I'm on my second Kindle, although I don't recall what generation it is. They make them (and other ereaders) now that have tech that negates the glare when reading outside, or so I've been told.

My back felt much better when I got up this morning, Not back to normal but on the way

Oh good. Hope it continues to do so.

Cool that the MD Quacker contingency keeps growing

We are a regular majority on here, aren't we?!?!

Too excited to sleep. One more “sleep” until we leave for the auto train and Florida.

Have fun, safe travels to Lorton. Inhale a bit of brackish salt water mingled with diesel & the slightest hint of fish for me. I could go for a couple of those long beach walks you probably have planned, have a wonderful time!

I decided on my first choice

That dress is beautiful - I love it!

so I know this made him feel good about himself.

Good for him - that is quite an accomplishment.

have a job interview after I get off of work

Good Luck!

Well youse guys, not a whole lot of anything going on. Foster pup is doing fabulously. Duke's nose is a bit out of joint since she tried to get away with his plush pillow. No one gets to use Duke's pillow but Duke. I have soooo much laundry to fold and sort, it's gotten completely out of hand. I keep looking at it and thinking I just am not inspired to tackle that and so there it sits, and grows...and I got off schedule with the bed sheets. I usually strip the bed every Friday, but got fouled up and now I can not for the life of me remember if it was before or after last Friday when I last stripped the bed. Took out a bear steak from the freezer for dinner this evening. I don't eat bear so I'm seriously considering a cheese stick and a glass of wine, but my husband really likes it and he's been working his butt off this week, so I figured he just might like a hearty meat & potato type meal this evening.

Anyone watch Blue Origin go up this morning? I did - I could do without the two commentator type chicks, I think one of them was a astronaut or similarly trained, but they both came off like giggling girls reading a infomercial. I'm amazed how they can reuse and land that larger bottom piece/booster rocket.

I think I'll have a cup of tea, I've got a chill. Have a good afternoon everyone.
