Good morning. Welcome to yet another rainy day. Supposed to start clearing tomorrow, and I'll be glad. I'm tired of the gray dismal sky out there.

While I had a lot of memories yesterday, I managed to only break down in tears once. It was when my friend from FL called. Her husband died suddenly just 2 weeks after Don passed and we were in tears together on the phone.

My best friend Cathy's surgery went well. She even called me on the way home to let me know everything went well and that she was thinking of me. Of course it was her right shoulder and she's right handed, so she has to do everything leftie until it heals. Her tying looked like drunk texts and we laughed like crazy the rest of the day every time she sent me something.
Summer texted me that if I needed company so I wouldn't feel alone that she would come over, but I was good.

Don always made us crab cakes for dinner on our anniversary, so I tried to uphold the tradition, but they just weren't the same. I don't think I'll be making them again.

Going out to lunch today with Summer and may get a haircut after we get our manicures. I let her talk me into it.

Good morning. Chilly here, around 50, with temps heading into the upper 60s. The trees are starting to turn color. The yellow trees are really pretty. Yesterday I walked at the lake. Today I have errands to do. In a couple of weeks I have to go into the office 2 days in one week which I am not happy about but we have a new member of our group and our boss is having a lunch for her. I will work at the condo in the morning and go in around lunchtime so no early morning driving that day. Then it is my Thursday to go in. My boss appreciates that I am being flexible so I hope she remembers that!

Good morning. I think our rain is finally on the way out of here. Only clouds today, and tomorrow the sun reappears. Good thing, all the grass seed I planted has sprouted and the grass needs mowing again.

Summer and I had a nice lunch out, and got our manicures. I ordered Chinese for myself for dinner and had just pulled in when she pulled in behind me. She had made me a pretty vase full of flowers, had cards from her and the kids, and my cats, lol. There were gift certificates for a different Chinese place, and she brought me a small birthday cake.

Didn't hear from either of the boys, no surprise there. I'm so low on their 'care about' list now that it doesn't matter to me.

I'm off to the market and to get my hair cut, my birthday gift to myself, lol

@flyingdumbo127 I don't know what's with the mail. I still haven't gotten the card from my friend in FL either. I assume hers in in that mess from the hurricane down there. I have no idea where yours is, nothing in informed delivery again today

Good morning. It is 50 now with temps heading to 70. My friend in NH says they are forecast to have a frost next week. Jeff just texted me that he is on his way to the airport and should be back from London this afternoon. He also texted me a picture of a statue of Paddington Bear who I love! I have a stuffed Paddington that I need to find now. I need to get to England some time. I finished my tough project for close week yesterday and it seems to have all balanced out so I am happy about that. I usually don't have to do as much as I did for close week but things were getting busy in one area. Now I will see if the big boss finds anything wrong. Today is a fairly quiet day. I may walk at the lake or dog park and then do a yoga video I found on youtube. Tomorrow is Kenny's birthday. He is getting old, 39. We are going out to dinner and then I am staying at his house while he and his GF go to a late concert. I am spending the night as he has the kids. I would prefer not to spend the night but I do what I have to do.

Happy Friday Eve!

Nice and cool this morning. We finally got a break from the rain yesterday . Should last through Sunday.

Couldn't sleep last night . Started off in my bed, move to the couch around 2:30 am, and then to Mitchell's old room around 4:00. Finally threw in the tool and got up around 5:15 and at work at 6:30. If I could have fit in Mia's baby bed in the spare room, I would have tried that too. Today is going to be a great day.

Missed Survivor last night so I'll catch up on that tonight when I get home. Forgot my book today so I'll just watch my YouTube people during lunch. I must have put my earbuds in my other bag because I don't have them with me today . I like using them when I'm watching something on my phone. Like I said, today is going to be a great day.

Lynxstch - sounds like you had a nice birthday. It was nice that Summer brought over a cake and some flowers.

Worked from home yesterday so I was able to throw in sheets and throw pillows in the wash. Tonight is just regular laundry, tomorrow night I can get my ironing done.

Early good morning everyone. Vivian is coming this afternoon. By God's grace I have made progress since she was last here over a month ago. Now that it is October, I pray to move recovery well along. I so want to be back to normal by Christmas. I also give God all my thanks for right here and now. No matter what happens all is well because I have Him. How blessed I am.

Good morning. Foggy and cool right now, but the sun is supposed to appear and stick around for at least 10 days. Temps will be mid 70's.

I'll let everything dry out well and start yardwork tomorrow. If I have the energy this afternoon I may do weedwacking then.

Summer went to Goodwill while I was in Walmart and she found 3 more dresses for the upcoming school dances so they're not hunting at the last minute. She found 3 brand new dresses, tags still on. One of them had a $200 price tag on it. She paid $7 each.
They got Lily's bloodwork results back, the right test this time. Last time they ordered the right test, but the lab did the wrong one. From the results they think she has a tumor on her adrenal gland.

@footballmouse I thought Survivor was boring last night.

I have a slight headache and I'm still tired. Off to make some cocoa and have a yogurt before starting my day.

The whole yard looks beautiful again. I weedwacked the whole yard, the bank going down to the street, and mowed the entire yard, then cleaned everything off with the leaf blower. That's the extent of my chores for today, and possibly tomorrow too, lol

Vivian came earlier. It was good to show her I have made progress since she was last here. She will be coming back in two weeks. I'm going to work extra hard to get stronger between now and then especially on my left side. That was the injured foot (toes). I am grateful to God for placing Vivian in my life. I also know recovery is more based on what I put into it, so God willing during the next two weeks I will make strides. Have a great evening, friends.

Good morning. It is 52 right now with temps going to the lower 70s. I looked at next week and they are predicting overnight temps in the lower 40s. I guess my heat will be going on. Today I am picking up Kenny's kids at the bus and we are going out for Kenny's birthday. Jeff got home safely from London. Thankfully his flight was on time leaving.
