Good morning!
Mona, so nice to hear you say you’re walking! So glad!
Everyone’s getting their flu shots, I got mine at work yesterday, too.
Lynn, must be a nice feeling to have the stumps ground down. We have a couple of trees that probably need to come down and have stumps ground as the roots are making the yard and walkways bumpy. Turns out a guy from the neighborhood came to our yard sale and bought some stuff, and that’s what he does, so he gave us his card. Maybe next year. We have some bushes to remove too.
Dazed, nice to see you and sorry to hear how hard things continue to be for you. Know you’re always in our hearts and we’re always here to listen.
A

for Snowysmom too, I know this is a difficult month for you. And then the tooth issues. I hope the endodontist is compassionate and can offer you something to help you relax. DH is in the same boat as you for retirement.
Nice to hear about trips! So many people I know went to Disney in the past couple of weeks! Someone I work with is at the Dolphin now, first stay there. Glad you were able to get your passport, taz, even if expired, lol.
Kirby, thanks for sharing your good news. Happy on both counts!
Bobbi, it’s so great you get to do so much travel!
Love seeing your cat PollyannaMom! It’s awesome he gets to go out safely every day.
Footballmouse, I love your relationship with your sons. (Others here, too!) I chuckled at the pants, I’m the same way. Been helping DS out a bit with the cost of flying, it’s been $550 each time, out of pocket, and next week he’s got one that will be $750! He’s getting as much OT as he can but jeez, it’s expensive! Once he starts commercial flight school he’ll take out a student loan, so that will hopefully let up a bit. Funny you mentioned Marshall’s, the kids got me that Mickey ghost cookie jar and another Halloween Mickey and Minnie for my birthday. I’ll try to get some pics. So cute! And oh, I saw the secret to the mums staying good (laser focused on that now since I lost my summer plants) is to soak them in some water in a bucket for 30 mins every few days instead of watering from the top. Been working for us, but we did have something eat one of the mums and part of the pumpkin.

It could be the deer who at my hosta and lavender, or a bunny or a squirrel, we haven’t figured it out yet, lol. And then the rain this weekend made them a little brown. So done with all that!
I worked all weekend and it was super busy. And coming off the full moon there was a lot of craziness going on. Speaking of keeping feet in good shape, I do so much running around on my long shifts that I bought some new boots and they finally arrived Saturday, I was so excited to try them on. I aimed my foot in and it totally cramped up, had to pull my leg out and jump around the bedroom for a while!

Happened on both legs. So I waited a bit and tried them on later and it worked - and they fit and I love them! The cramps sometimes wake me up when I’m sleeping. It only happens on work days. But at least my legs and feet are strong and they get a good workout a lot. (Not unusual to clock in several miles per shift.) I’m blessed I don’t have chronic pain issues in knees or anywhere, either, except once in a while one hip, but only before it rains. I was diagnosed with bursitis (but was really happy it wasn’t cancer spread there). Keeps it all in perspective.
Well good news here, the apartment is almost empty, finally! DD’s been doing a lot of cleaning of floors and such, but I might get someone in to do the walls and baseboards and ceilings. I don’t have that in me to do, and DD’s been busy with her new job and organizing things over there already, too. God love her, she and DH took care of my mother’s things, I really couldn’t do it. We sold some furniture at the yard sale and donated the rest. So they’re coming out to measure for cabinets this week, then it’s just a matter of cleaning, painting the whole apt, putting in the cabinets, and lastly the new flooring and window treatments. Hopefully she’ll be in before her birthday in late October.
Boys are good. I brushed a TON of hair off G this morning this is the season for coat shedding again. (Really it’s year round.) Still have more to do. He’s been very lovey. He’s really settled in now. Toto is his usual comical self, he is such a confident dog it’s fun to watch him do his thing. DD’s boyfriend is really getting to know him, he’s never had a dog but Toto has been winning him over. He fell asleep on his jacket the other night and bf thought it was cute. He’ll also follow him to the bathroom and lay up against him when he comes in the house. DD says he doesn’t mind, Toto was actually on the other sofa when bf called him over to him, so he’s not being a pain or anything. It’s fun to watch. I’m still friends with his breeder and she calls him a great ambassador for the breed, and he is. Such a great temperament.
Have a good Tuesday everyone!
