My samsung has been giving me alot of trouble lately. Kenny, his GF, Aimee, and both my close friends have iphones and thankfully have not had issues with them. I am willing to try something different. Plus I have alot of people who can help me use the phone. :)
We have iPhones, too, and haven't had any trouble with them. And when we have questions, the people at the Apple Store are super nice and helpful. The phone camera is great! Hope you enjoy it. :)

Good morning!

Mona, so nice to hear you say you’re walking! So glad! 🙏

Everyone’s getting their flu shots, I got mine at work yesterday, too.

Lynn, must be a nice feeling to have the stumps ground down. We have a couple of trees that probably need to come down and have stumps ground as the roots are making the yard and walkways bumpy. Turns out a guy from the neighborhood came to our yard sale and bought some stuff, and that’s what he does, so he gave us his card. Maybe next year. We have some bushes to remove too.

Dazed, nice to see you and sorry to hear how hard things continue to be for you. Know you’re always in our hearts and we’re always here to listen. :grouphug:

A :grouphug: for Snowysmom too, I know this is a difficult month for you. And then the tooth issues. I hope the endodontist is compassionate and can offer you something to help you relax. DH is in the same boat as you for retirement.

Nice to hear about trips! So many people I know went to Disney in the past couple of weeks! Someone I work with is at the Dolphin now, first stay there. Glad you were able to get your passport, taz, even if expired, lol.

Kirby, thanks for sharing your good news. Happy on both counts!

Bobbi, it’s so great you get to do so much travel!

Love seeing your cat PollyannaMom! It’s awesome he gets to go out safely every day.

Footballmouse, I love your relationship with your sons. (Others here, too!) I chuckled at the pants, I’m the same way. Been helping DS out a bit with the cost of flying, it’s been $550 each time, out of pocket, and next week he’s got one that will be $750! He’s getting as much OT as he can but jeez, it’s expensive! Once he starts commercial flight school he’ll take out a student loan, so that will hopefully let up a bit. Funny you mentioned Marshall’s, the kids got me that Mickey ghost cookie jar and another Halloween Mickey and Minnie for my birthday. I’ll try to get some pics. So cute! And oh, I saw the secret to the mums staying good (laser focused on that now since I lost my summer plants) is to soak them in some water in a bucket for 30 mins every few days instead of watering from the top. Been working for us, but we did have something eat one of the mums and part of the pumpkin. 😬 It could be the deer who at my hosta and lavender, or a bunny or a squirrel, we haven’t figured it out yet, lol. And then the rain this weekend made them a little brown. So done with all that!

I worked all weekend and it was super busy. And coming off the full moon there was a lot of craziness going on. Speaking of keeping feet in good shape, I do so much running around on my long shifts that I bought some new boots and they finally arrived Saturday, I was so excited to try them on. I aimed my foot in and it totally cramped up, had to pull my leg out and jump around the bedroom for a while! 😬 Happened on both legs. So I waited a bit and tried them on later and it worked - and they fit and I love them! The cramps sometimes wake me up when I’m sleeping. It only happens on work days. But at least my legs and feet are strong and they get a good workout a lot. (Not unusual to clock in several miles per shift.) I’m blessed I don’t have chronic pain issues in knees or anywhere, either, except once in a while one hip, but only before it rains. I was diagnosed with bursitis (but was really happy it wasn’t cancer spread there). Keeps it all in perspective.

Well good news here, the apartment is almost empty, finally! DD’s been doing a lot of cleaning of floors and such, but I might get someone in to do the walls and baseboards and ceilings. I don’t have that in me to do, and DD’s been busy with her new job and organizing things over there already, too. God love her, she and DH took care of my mother’s things, I really couldn’t do it. We sold some furniture at the yard sale and donated the rest. So they’re coming out to measure for cabinets this week, then it’s just a matter of cleaning, painting the whole apt, putting in the cabinets, and lastly the new flooring and window treatments. Hopefully she’ll be in before her birthday in late October.

Boys are good. I brushed a TON of hair off G this morning this is the season for coat shedding again. (Really it’s year round.) Still have more to do. He’s been very lovey. He’s really settled in now. Toto is his usual comical self, he is such a confident dog it’s fun to watch him do his thing. DD’s boyfriend is really getting to know him, he’s never had a dog but Toto has been winning him over. He fell asleep on his jacket the other night and bf thought it was cute. He’ll also follow him to the bathroom and lay up against him when he comes in the house. DD says he doesn’t mind, Toto was actually on the other sofa when bf called him over to him, so he’s not being a pain or anything. It’s fun to watch. I’m still friends with his breeder and she calls him a great ambassador for the breed, and he is. Such a great temperament.

Have a good Tuesday everyone! 🐣

Always good to see you posting, Luckyrabbit:hug:

Thank you, dear Pea:hug:Each step is one closer to recovery. This week ahead I will try to go a little further and practice getting up from my chair more. My feet are still so stiff/tight from limited use and constriction. It's an extra blessing to be moving more. Please do take care of your feet. Remember warm Epsom salt soaks did help me a lot at one time. I should do one this week.

Sweet Dreams everyone🌠💕

I am getting a new phone tomorrow. I am going to get an Apple phone. I have always had Samsung. Kenny went to Apple and said I should give it a try. He is going to help me with the whole process.
I picked my first iPhone for exactly the same reason 😆 - same model as DS, so I could piggyback off everything learned.
Kenny, his GF, Aimee, and both my close friends have iphones
Oooh, that will be fun! There are some cute things you can do just between iPhones. (And you will know who of your contacts has one and who doesn't because your texts to other iPhone users will be blue, and your texts to Android users will be green.)
The phone camera is great!
Agreed!! I have a 15 Pro, and it takes awesome pictures!

It's nice to see you, @Pea-n-Me :goodvibes - I love hearing about Grady & Toto, and am glad to hear the house project is coming along.

I am sometimes chicken about big projects. - We really need to redo our carpets and have been holding off for too long. I've been slowly chipping away at decluttering, though.

I went to a Friends of the Library meeting last night, and have a Zoom class today. Saturday I'm going apple-picking with my cousins and their little ones. 🍎🍏

Pea Good to see you. You are so busy between work and home. I hope you get some relaxing time in too. Nice to hear that your kids are doing well. Glad Toto and Grady are doing well too.

Thank you all for the iPhone support. I am nervous about getting a new phone and having to download my apps again. I hope I remember the passwords! LOL! I am nervous about getting the token for my work banking downloaded. My boss says it is super easy but she is technosavvy where as I am a technoidiot.

Good morning. It is 49 here today. I actually feel a bit chilled in the condo but no heat yet! I have my fleece on. Kenny is coming with me to get my phone today. Not sure if we are going to the Apple store or Verizon. I just need to do it and get it done. Tomorrow I have an eye doctor appt which also makes me nervous. My allergies are really bad this time of year and it includes my eyes, especially my left one. I use eye drops a bit here and there. I just hope all is good with my eyes. Thinking I may need prescription glasses though.

Off to work early today. Have a good day.

My cat is tormenting the hell out of the dog right now lol. She keeps running into the living room hopping at him, only to run out and then back in. Jumped on the couch to smell his face then ran off. Running into her tunnel and going nuts. It's too early for this lol.

Good morning hugs to all and paws and prayers extra to all Quacker furry friends.

PollyannaMom:hug:apple picking sounds fun. I've never done that or been to a harvest type festival. Have fun!

Dear Snowysmom:hug:we all believe in you!

Dead, good to see you :)

Wishing all of dear you a happy Tuesday.

Good morning!
66° here. I will do some weeding this morning, and will begin cutting gladioli leaves. I am able to leave those in the ground, so no need to replant them every year.
The Phillies won their division!⚾ last night!
Tom has gone for blood work. He needs it done every month for his kidney doctor.
Nancy and I have lunch with a pool friend today. It was to be at the dock of the Lobster House, but not sure they will be opened for lunch. There has been much coastal flooding.
My cousin sent me this picture of the flooding from a north Jersey news agency. Lobster House’s street!

I hope everyone’s day is a good one!

Good morning.

Trying to get my granddaughter to wake up so she can get ready to get out of here. We head home today and I am a little nervous about TSA. I do have a text of the cover of my good passport and the expired one. I did check the website and the expired one may be ok. Supposedly they are able to be used for 1 year past expiration.

I will check on all the posts from the last week when I get home and settled in.

@bobbiwoz - my aunt lived in Cape May and lived the Lobster House. She died 11 years ago today and I still get angry about it. I found out she was dead a month later by accident. Her housekeeper never called us to let us know. Of course she did it on purpose because she had my aunt change her will and went through probate before we even knew. I try not to dwelling on it but there is still some anger there

Oh well Ella is finally moving. Time to get ready for a couple of hours in EPCOT, hopefully before the crowds descend on us. The last 2 days have been insanely crowded

Have a great day everyone

Good morning all! Wow, a lot of new posts to read this morning, happy to see that.

It's raining lightly, which is fine. I don't have to be outside mowing the lawn and get get more fall cleaning done.

@Pea-n-Me Glad to see you, and lots of lovely news to read from you. Glad your daughters apartment is coming along so well.

Nothing new here. Summer is in Philadelphia again today for her new job, she hopes to be done with the inspections today so they can get home by tonight.

Off to gather trash, go fill up the car now that gas has come down a bit ($3.05, lowest in awhile), and stop at the discount grocery over the PA state line

Have a nice day everyone

Good Afternoon.

Quick hi today, I'm currently sitting in a meeting.

We actually had rain last night and this morning. Wasn't sure what that was falling from the sky!

Bobbiwoz - congrats to the Phillies, good luck in the playoffs. The Reds were eliminated over the weekend. Our manager was fired yesterday. Now they just need to fire the pitching coach.

Back to work, have a great day!

@tazdev3225, I am sorry about the unpleasant memories that Cape May brings up for you.

Please know that if anyone here ever thinks of coming to Cape May, I would be happy to show you around, and treat you to lunch!

Tomorrow a friend from my Hamilton Twnp days in NJ, roughly from 1970-1979 is coming here, and we’ll go out to lunch. Barbara lives in Annapolis MD now and I think we last saw each other in 2020.

We went for a bike ride this morning, so I’ll be weeding in a bit. My sister preferred to bike ride, rather than see me work in the garden. I didn’t need convincing!

My fish this morning!

Big hug dear Taz and an extra hug and prayers for Tom dear Bobbi. Dad, thanks to God, is safely home from doing :laundy:I may need to call the PT company later or by tomorrow (so I am not charged for Thursday) should I not hear from Vivian. I did text her yesterday asking to reschedule to next week and of course sending prayers that she enjoyed her trip. I don't know when she came back home so she may very well be catching up. My morning walk went well earlier. Have a good afternoon friends. Extra hug to you dear Lynn and Footballmouse, too and of course, all of my Quacker family.

Taz Hope you had a good trip back and lots of good times with Ella on your trip.

flyingdumbo Glad you are walking better.

Good morning. It is 54 here with temps again going into the 60s. I have my new iPhone. I am getting used to it. I can do all the basics now. I like that it is smaller and fits in my pocket easier. I do have Kenny as my resource for questions. Tomorrow I have to drive into the office and of course rain is forecast. I seems like every time I drive in it rains. I have an eye doctor appt this afternoon. I suspect I will come out of it with having to wear glasses at least for work. Now I just buy readers.

Have a good day.

Hug and thank you dear Snowysmom. I'm glad you like your new phone. Eye doctor appointment prayers. I've worn glasses for distance since I was 14 or so I think. Dad wore contacts most all his adult life until he had cataract surgery several years ago. God willing one day when I'm recovered, going to Target or Walmart (they had better prices) for an updated prescription will be a good idea. I wish you a good day.

Happy Winds-Day hug to all with love.

Hello friends,
The heartache doesn’t seem to end. DD had an ultrasound today and there was no heartbeat, she was 6+ months along. She is being induced as I write this. I feel so horrible for her. I was just putting baby shower items in my Amazon bag when I got the news. This is the second baby she lost, I don’t know if they want to keep trying. It is just so sad, she just had the baby room painted and his little clothes were hung in the closet. Please pray for her if you are so inclined.
