Good morning

Traveling with a teenager is fun! She is still sleeping despite saying she needed to be up early for some schoolwork.

Passport arrived but it was the expired one. My daughter felt bad, jim wanted to pay to send the good one. I told them to take a picture of the new one and text it to me. That with the expired one, TSA precheck and my insurance cards should be all I need. I was upset that Mears was getting us 3 and 1/2 hours early. Now I'm thinking someone knew i would need the extra time. I'm not dwelling on it, just enjoying the last few days.

We are meeting a friend of mine today that I met many years ago here on the boards. He is no longer active but we have remained friends and try to meet when I get down here to Disney. I want to see how he is doing. When we visited in March we talked about how his husband was doing. Sadly 2 days after that meeting his husband passed away.

Well the teenager moved but she wants to sleep in a little more. She said she would just meet me later.

Good morning. Cool now at 59, but we're going to have a warm 84 degree day. The guy is supposed to come today to get rid of the stumps. Then some dirt and grass seed and I won't have to deal with them again.

I had laugh at Summer's text last night. Gracie informed her that homecoming dance is next weekend. Gracie does online school now, but her boyfriend still goes to the high school. I guess he 'forgot' to tell her about it until yesterday. So Summer has to run around trying to find a dress, shoes, accessories, and make appointments for hair and nails. It's always something at that house. The other day, Lily somehow managed to go the wrong way on a 1 way street on campus, tried to take the corner at the bottom too sharply, and ended up with her car on the curb, her front wheels not touching. Campus police tried to help her get it off, but they ended up having to call a tow truck to hook it up and pull it off the curb. It's her 'newer' car, so she's lucky it wasn't the front of her car that was stuck on it or she could have ruined the radiator and the oil pan. Instead she just has some scrapes on the bottoms along the front doors.

Happy Friday!

Back in the 90's again today. We haven't had any rain in over 30+ days. The yards are just brown and crunchy. I can't even put my Halloween yard decorations out because the ground is so hard.

Jacob & Mitchell came over late yesterday afternoon and put up the privacy fence along the back fenceline. Looks much better and now my dogs and the dogs on the other side of the fence won't go at each other with all their barking. Evan will be over later tonight to get all the bushes and trees they had to cut.

Took Mitchell and his girlfriend, Erin, to dinner last night for his work. Jacob headed home instead.

Working nightshift this weekend so it won't be too bad, just a lack of sleep.

Good morning. Rainy here too! I went to Wegman's to get my produce for the week. I cleaned the bathrooms and kitchen sink. Jeff and family are coming to Kenny's today and we are supposed to go to a town festival. Not sure if the rain will affect that. I don't think the kids (and me too) want to be out walking around in the rain and puddles. But we will see. Kenny is manning a boy scout booth in the afternoon so he needs to be there for that. There is supposed to be fireworks tonight but those may get rained out. Ethan got his cast off yesterday and is happy about that. The bones are all healed. He just needs to take it easy for a couple more weeks.

Good morning! No rain here. Went out to feed the birds, and it felt rather nice!….67° here in Cape May.

Good morning. No rain here yet, but they say we could get storms this afternoon.

All of the stumps are ground down 6" below ground level. He cleaned up the mess and went and got a load of topsoil and spread that. I'm off to Tractor Supply to get some straw, and Lowes for some grass seed so I can get it seeded and covered.

We're going to barter a deal. I want to get rid of the wood stove in the cellar, and he needs one. I need where the garden was taken care of and good dirt put down so I can plant grass there in the spring. We'll work out a deal that benefits both of us.

Good morning. They said no rain today, but it's drizzling lightly. Just enough that everything is too wet for me to plant grass seed and spread straw.

Calling for rain every day for the next 7 days. We need it, but I would have liked today to be nice enough to get that job done with so the rain could work it's magic.

Edited to add- rain stopped long enough that I was able to rake, seed, roll, put straw down and water the 2 bigger area's. Waiting for Walmart to bring the bags of top soil so I can do the one in the front and it will be done. My back says ENOUGH, lol I lied. they delivered the topsoil, and it wasn't raining so I finished the job, Finally!
Now I just hope that it grows. Man has grass seed gotten expensive, just like everything else!

Hello. The festival in Kenny's town was postponed yesterday to today. So we all got together at Kenny's house yesterday and had pizza and the kids played. I liked that better as I could spend time with the kids and grandkids. The fire station did have the open house so we went there after lunch. The kids loved going in the fire truck and ambulance. They also got to use a fire hose to put out a pretend fire. Today I went to Owen's soccer game, the festival, and then went apple picking with Kenny and family. That was alot of walking. I am over 10,000 steps for today. Time tor rest.

Dad, thank God, is planning to stay home tomorrow to I pray get some extra rest himself. I will reach out to Vivian and try to schedule her to come a week from Thursday. Good morning. It is 51 now with temps going into the 60s. Yesterday it was so nice and cool. I hope today is the same. I am getting a new phone tomorrow. I am going to get an Apple phone. I have always had Samsung. Kenny went to Apple and said I should give it a try. He is going to help me with the whole process. My current phone is too big. I want a smaller one that will not go wonky on me. Jeff tells me I am going to the dark side. I just want easier and no issues.

Prayers your new is indeed simple and long-lasting dear Snowysmom. Dad and I always get the basic Galaxy due to price. Dad still has his J3 which Google tells me came out in 2016 (Can that be right)? My current A13 has been trouble since last October when I got it. We are hoping next there will bring a more reliable choice.

Yesterday's sermon topic was one I think all of dear you would appreciate because it was on welcoming all God puts in our path. I sure thank each of you, my Quacker family, for doing just that so beautifully and kindly. Happy Monday, friends with love.

Good Monday Morning and Happy Fall.

Temps are coming back to the low 80's this week, supposed to rain today so we'll see . I think it's getting close to day #38 with no rain . The Bengals play tonight so it will probably rain during the game if it actually happens.

Worked this weekend. Sunday morning when I got off work, I stopped at Walmart and got Mitchell some work pants. He asked if I would get them since he paid for the posts for the fence last week . That was fine, I needed to stop somewhere anyway to grab a couple of things.

Grabbed some sleep after the Walmart trip and got up at 1:00, just in time for the football games starting. Watched those all day and did my laundry.

Good morning. I'm happy to say that it's raining. Both because it will help the grass seed and wet the straw well so it doesn't blow around. Second because I'm stiff and sore and don't want to have to do anything outside, lol

I was so tired yesterday that when the mailman left a package in the box across the street, I had to take the car to go and get it. I took a long hot shower, ordered garlic shrimp and lobster rice for dinner and had it delivered, and watched tv until bedtime.

Summer had to go to Philadelphia to do inspections for her job today and tomorrow. Her husband is off work for a week so he's going with her. It's a yucky day for a long drive though.

@Snowysmom Knock on wood, I've always had Samsung and other than a minor issue now and then, which was usually caused by one of their updates, I love it. My SIL and niece have Iphones and have nothing but issues. I wish you luck with your new phone

My samsung has been giving me alot of trouble lately. Kenny, his GF, Aimee, and both my close friends have iphones and thankfully have not had issues with them. I am willing to try something different. Plus I have alot of people who can help me use the phone.
