Afternoon thread save with a :grouphug: extra to each of you. Thanks to God, dad has been safely home and was able to get needed shopping done, too. We're also enjoying a warmer afternoon in the 70's. We extra appreciate a break in the rain because more is on the horizon tomorrow. AuntieMe3, I hope you are able to enjoy some Saturday sunshine. :hug:with extra afternoon prayers to you, my friend. I'm going to address some Easter mail (let me know if any of you would like a postcard or card) and then check out Walmart and Amazon for some needed online shopping. Have a good rest of the afternoon, friends. I'll check in again later.

Having a quiet Saturday here - doing some laundry, enjoying a new (to me) show on SyFy called The Ark, and I went out after lunch to get fried ice cream with DS.
Don started watching that yesterday. As soon as I saw it, I knew it was the same producers as Stargate the movie and Stargate Universe was, which we both enjoyed. I read that it was supposed to be a continuation of Stargate Universe.

PollyannaMom:hug:, I'm so glad you and your son were able to spend time together today. Fried Ice Cream 🍨is something I haver tried. I hope the two of you enjoyed it :)

Lynn, 🙏you and Don are having a good night. May you both find something enjoyable to watch on 📺

Wishing all of you dear Quackers a peaceful good night with sweet dreams.

Nice quiet Saturday here. Just did a bit of housework, went out to get some groceries - fruit, plus some granola bars, coffee cream and lawn bags to finish bagging up what we trimmed from my wall of trees. That was a lot more brush than I expected.

I've got no input on all the series, tv or video I hear you all speaking off. Most of the time, I fall asleep shortly after something starts. I will randomly watch some British Comedy but even that doesn't hold my interest much as I've seen most of them.

Did some raking and picking up bits of limbs for an hour plus talked to my neighbor about getting my front yard redone. I need some re - landscaping. I want to move about 5 bushes and some roses, trim the crape myrtles and dig up all the flowering stuff and replant some of it. A lot of the plants are getting root bound and won't keep producing flowers if they are not properly thinned and redone.

Put some stuffed peppers in for dinner. We both like them. That's about it for here. Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday tomorrow.

This was such a busy and eventful week. There are some things that happened at work in the past month or so that I wish I could talk about, but I really can’t. Suffice it to say that they were really meaningful to me, and reinforce to me why I am still doing what I do. People talk to me sometimes about retirement, and admittedly, the thought of it can be very appealing. But then I have these experiences that make me know that I’m where I’m supposed to be and doing what I’m supposed to be doing. I just can’t see it any other way. Had a really great experience with a patient yesterday that surprised me in more ways than one, and we both agreed that something more spiritual was at play than it appeared. So, very cool. And really nice since I’d had the exact opposite experience earlier in the week. Things balance.

Let’s see we also had some good and bad shopping type experiences. DD brought her car in today for a scraping sound and to look at a tire we were questioning a slow leak. Well they fixed the scrape sound which cost $20. (Not bad!) And they did an oil change and didn’t charge her because the mechanic thought one was requested, but it wasn’t. And they recommended she might need a new tire. So $20 at the shop - a first, I think! :lmao: Even she was in shock. The bad one is I had ordered a larger auto BP cuff off Amazon and it came and was smaller than the one we have! So that was disappointing and it‘ll have to go back. (After I just did a bunch of returns the other day. 😬)

Oops I hit send before I was done, lol.

We made a roasted pork tenderloin roast tonight and it was just ok. I prefer the center cut chops on the grill.

A little tired tonight so kicking back and watching Dr PoL, enjoying some Fuji apple slices with caramel dip. I also had a cheesecake leftover that DH made (so good). Wishing everyone a nice Sunday. 🐥

🙏Came back one last time tonight and am glad I did.

Good to hear from both of you Judique ane Pea:hug:

Judique, thank you for your care to so many 🌳and🌺and of course people and animals, too. Glad you get your 🛒done. I also am not familiar with the recent tv series mentioned. I wish you and everyone else some enjoyable 📺time this weekend :)

Pea, how is your DH feeling? 🙏He's still doing much better and that you're also continying to heal. :thanks:always for being the loving and kind person you are who always gifts so many patients with a whole lot of faithful TLC and wonderful all-around medical care. God Bless your patient! God absolutely in His perfect time and way places someone in our life when the two of us most need to meet. Your share is further testimony to His Glory and love for us, too. What a kind :car:mechanic. Your caramel apple slices remind me of how much church campers always loved those. Enjoy, my friend.

Get some good rest everyone!

@Pea-n-Me So nice and kind of you to tend to all your patients' needs including talking with them and supporting them. I am sure alot of spiritual things are at work where you are. I hope you can relax a bit.

I wish I could find something good to watch on TV but I think my mindset right now is not in that place. I need to just stick with lighter shows and comedies. Chris and I used to watch alot of British comedies but I am not able to continue with that right now.

It is a cold, windy morning here today. I just got back from my walk and felt so chilled. I had to pull up my hood. I did go out to treat myself to a coffee at the little coffee shop down the road. Sometimes I want something a little better than Dunkin. I got cinnamon toast crunch flavored coffee. I added my own stevia. I love cinnamon and this is really good. Friday when I was at Kenny's house and going to the condo complex I again stopped at the coffee shop walking distance from Kenny's. I got a blueberry flavored coffee and sat in the shop for a bit. I am just trying to see if I can do things alone as it is all I have right now. If I want to get out and around I need to do it myself. Next up at some point I will try a quick lunch by myself. I need to prep for my solo Disney trip in the Fall.

I will be seeing Jeff's family today. I told the grandkids I would come back and play games with them. Ellie made up a new game she wants me to play with her.

Have a good Sunday.

Good cold morning. 20 degrees out, makes it kind of hard to believe that tomorrow is the first day of Spring.
Dave never did show up yesterday so I guess the brake job took a lot longer than he expected. He had said he 'might' come after the funeral today, but I'm not counting on that. He will be here tomorrow morning, when we have to make a Lowes run for the tile trim, return a few things, and pick up a couple of others.

I had the day without bathroom gofer work, so I cleaned the house. Got all the rooms dusted and vacuumed, laundry done, bed stripped, and cleared off the kitchen counters and cleaned them thoroughly.
I had gotten 2 corned beefs, a larger flat cut one, and a smaller point cut. I made the smaller one as I wasn't sure Don was going to eat it. It was just the right size for the 2 of us. I had mine with all the veggies I cooked, he ended up asking for just a corned beef and swiss sandwich, but at least he ate. He seems to be doing somewhat better, thankfully. I appreciate all the continued prayers.

Don't know what I am going to get into today, but I'll find something. I have to take down St Patrick's decorations and put up Spring or Easter ones.

Have a great Sunday--enjoy the last day of Winter!

Good afternoon. Thought yesterday was going to be a lazy day but it ended up being busy. DH and I went to breakfast, then after I met up with baby Ana and her momma at our new local Farmers Market. We had a nice visit and I picked up some goodies and ate some goodies. While i was there our friends called DH to invite us over for dinner, so we went over there for some amazing salmon and asparagus on the grill and enjoyed the fire pit for a little bit. The weather was beautiful yesterday back to yucky again. Supposed to rain the next couple of day...ugh. I know CA needs it but I'm so tired of the rain. LoL Southern Californians aren't made for this...

This morning, DH and I went to a local shop and got some empanadas, a couple tamales, and a ham and cheese croissant for breakfast. Dolly took the drive with us... she's getting more comfortable in the car. Now DH is napping, DDs still in her room, Dolly's even napping so i'm starting to feel a little sleepy myself. LOL The weather is affecting us, I guess...lol

Thanks for the thoughts and prayers for my friends family.... they are still in need. Hoping they get some good news today.

Hope you all have a good rest of your day. We're having burgers on the flat top grill tonight and I'm looking forward to them... they are good.

Just nothing really going on here. I did some housework this morning, watched a movie, walked the cats, and started a crossword puzzle. I should get outside and pull some weeds, but it's windy, and I'm not sure I feel like it.

Good Afternoon:wave:Friends,

🙏continuing for your friends, AuntieMe3 and an extra :grouphug:to you. Lol, us SoCalers aren't made for all this rain. At the moment, all is dry here. I hope you are enjoying an afternoon 🛌nap and keeping cozy. :lovestrucBaby Ana and always paws and a hug for Dolly:dogdance:I'm so thankful to God that all of you are enjoying the weekend.

Please do stay out of the wind, PollyannaMom!:hug:The weeds will still be there another day. Watch another good movie or read a fun 📕instead.

Quiet afternoon here. Christmas puzzle attached :)

I'm hiring someone. I just can't get into it at all. But I want the results!

Good evening. It was a bit chilly the past couple of days. We are supposed to go to the mid 60's by mid week so I am looking forward to that.

Yesterday was my Ben's 8th Birthday. He missed being a St. Patty's baby by an hour, but he has a bit of the Irish Blarney like my great grandfather. He wanted a remote-control helicopter. My daughter ordered him one, so I didn't get it. I found out today that he still expects the one I was going to get him. Of course, I will get it. I planned on going tomorrow after I dropped the boys off at school. I had to change those plans as poor Ben is sick with a 101 fever. He tested negative for Covid thankfully and I will need to watch him tomorrow. My daughter was going to call out of work since she wasn't scheduled to begin with, but she would lose a substantial bonus. It's not a big deal, I will just bring my computer with me and work on the pictures.

Ella did great at Volleyball yesterday and scored the winning point for the final game with her serve. I think the other team thought they had an easy point since she struggles with the serve a bit, BUT she can get it over the net. They learned that the hard way. Her team is now 8 and 1, not a bad start. She was a little sad today when she saw the For Sale sign on one of her friend's houses. She knew it was coming, but it made it to real for her. The friend isn't moving t6hat far away, maybe 10 miles or so but out of the city. It's a hard age. Leaving the safety of the school she has been in since she was in kindergarten and moving on to high school, and now losing a friend to a move. I told her that they will still see each other and they have phones.

The Corned Beef the other day did not turn out good. Today I redeemed myself. I put a roast in the crock pot and then added a diluted can of Cream of Mushroom soup. That turned out great. I may make them that way more often. Really tender and shredded well.

Not much else going on around here. Between working on the pictures I am working on the Disney trip. I just hope my daughter gets Crystal's ID straightened out before we go. She is very last minute and it drives me crazy.

Have a good night.

I should get outside and pull some weeds, but it's windy
Ok - that was me exactly today ::yes:: - had some serious trimming and weed pulling to do but DANG it was cold and windy!!! So I put it off till another day!
Hello Quackers. I can’t write much, just wanted to say hi and that I’m still here. Been reading when I can. Sending prayers and hugs to all.
