Good day to you all. Hope this Thursday has started out well for everyone.

Got some fun news earlier, my new truck has arrived earlier than expected. I was laughing because my husband ordered his truck back in August and it's not here yet! But I only ordered mine in January and it's already here. Poor guy, I've been teasing him about it. He says he's going to tell the saleskid to hold it until his truck get in! I've never ordered a vehicle from scratch - just gone to a dealership and gotten what was available, so I'm looking forward to getting it. I'll drop by this afternoon so they can get their eyes on my current little SUV and then they'll work up the paperwork for the trade-in and what not and bring the paperwork & the truck up to me tomorrow.

I'm off for a jobsite meeting in a while, down to lower Delaware again. Hope to be able to get on the tractor this evening and finish the bush hogging in one of the fields I started earlier. Maybe even move on to another area. We'll see what kind of time I have.

I just remembered a baby shower I have to attend on Saturday, so that will take up a majority of my mid-day but I should be home by late afternoon and be able to get some hours in on the tractor then as well. Both my SIL's will be attending as well - maybe I'll see if either of them wants to ride over together.

No idea what dinner will be this evening. Probably something simple.

Then we can have an early night before heading to the port the next morning.
Smart. On our last cruise we went 2 nights ahead of time and it really was nice to check out the area and not feel rushed or nervous about making our ship. We just walked to it after a day of meandering around the city.
I have to have him take the cover off and change it to bright white instead of daylight.
:rotfl:I feel like we are living in a mirrored universe at the moment! Husband and I stood in Home Depot the other day looking at the lights while he reached up and went thru the light settings for me. I also find the LED to cold and bright, I wanted to make sure we had something warmer.
Tom is having a nuclear test on his thyroid now.
Hope all goes well for him.
I am forcing myself to get out of the house today. Actually my sister is forcing me.
Good for your sister, sounds like she is looking out for you in this difficult time. I hope you can find the items you are looking for...I am also "stubby" as I call it. 5' tall and carrying extra weight. Pants are HARD to find, you are spot on about that.
It's nice that your sister is looking out for you by wanting to keep you company today.
I agree.

Good morning. Going to around 60 today and no wind so that will be nice.

I am wearing my "That's my Grandson" baseball T-shirt for the first time in almost 18 months. Anthony has a game today closer to home and the weather is nicer than yesterday, so I plan on heading over to see it. He did really well yesterday from what my daughter told me. He walked 3 times, had 2 hits and stole at least one base. The kid is back!!! She of course is a nervous wreck, but he has clearances from the doctors and PT; his knee is back to 100% strength and flexibility, maybe even better than that. He is also wearing the hinged knee brace that was ordered so I am not worried. OK, maybe a little but I have always said I can't control what I can't control so it's in God's hands. It got me through 30+ years of my husband and son working in law enforcement of some sort. They were both Corrections Officers and my husband was a Deputy Sheriff for about 25 years. Worrying about what I had no control over was senseless, so I put it in God's hands and lived my life.

I spent the entire day yesterday sorting through the pictures from the memory card I salvaged the data on. I am so excited as not only was Scotland on it but a couple of other things I knew I was missing but had hoped to find on other cards. Once I have everything sorted out further I will give a mini trip report of the trip. Those of you who watch Outlander may like some of the pics as they were from places Outlander was filmed, including the Culloden Battlefield, the Print Shop and Ardsmuir Prison. I am so happy to have those pictures back.

Hope you all have a great day.

Good Morning Friends,

Prayers all of you enjoyed a good night's 🛌

Dad is on his way to pick up our order 📦from Dollar Tree followed by as top into Target located in the same shopping center. Pre pandemic, I never would have imagined being grateful to have ordered 4-gallon trash bags (that we use in our bathroom trashcan, so it doesn't matter that they're not very sturdy and are scented--we prefer unscented trash bags otherwise) or the body wash I like in bulk from the Tree! Covid has definitely helped me to I pray give greater pause and truly give thanks greater to God in all things big and small. '

:grouphug:dear Pea and thank you for a wonderful morning update on your DH, praise God! I am keeping you both in e extra prayer, my friend. Have a much more relaxing day and please take care of yourself, too!

Thanks, Snowysmom. Dad and I don't eat all that many 🍪ourselves although they are tasty. I try to be a tiny bit healthier other than my cocoa which I so love but at least that's made with milk and a small amount. The recipe makes a good 32 cookies. It's a tiny thing we can do to I pray spread a dash of comfort and cheer to another. I wish I could send you some! Should you (any of you dear Quackers) ever get out here or AuntieMe3, one day God-willing when we can have a CA meetup, I will bring you a cookie treat with joy. :hug:I also prefer lighter days! But then, I remember, that after the darkest of two nights, a Miracle came in the morning at Easter. Reminder that truly joy absolutely can come in a new day's light. You, dear friend, I always pray to know greater JOY and peace.

Cheers for pluto:Footballmouse and always for you! I remember having a big stuffed animal Pluto as a young child. I hope all of you enjoy the 🏀movie. How kind of you to take your boys to see it.

Lynn, wow that was a long night! Extra prayers that afterward you finally rested well! May your 🛒go quickly and smoothly this morning!pooh:so cute, love the map! I have thought a retheme of the Pooh ride ought to include some type of interactive with visitors 100-acre Wood exploration. Something like Tom Sawyers Island maybe and a map would be a wonderful addition and keepsake to that. Lol, I should email DL sometime that suggestion and know it was inspired by dear you.

🙏for Tom, Bobbiwoz and a caring hug with love for you! Enjoy your visit with your son and DDIL. God, of course, sent them right on time. May they bring you and Tom added comfort and cheer!

Big:grouphug:Dazed. I "liked" your post for your courage! Also for the kind grace of your sister that God gave you. Many prayers that you find some relief and fun today, if even for a moment. 🌸We all care so very much.

🌼 and waving hi with a hug to you, PollyannaMom.

🛻 prayers Easyas for you and your DH to enjoy many safe travels and good times in both of your new vehicles to come.

Love your post, Taz. Amen we ae all in God's hands by His grace and love. Thank you always for the love you give to all especially your grandkids. What a great ⚾👕Have a great Thursday, enjoy your pictures!

Thinking of you, Carol, and sending a :hug:your way. Same to AuntieMe3, Frog, Judique, Kirby, and the rest of our Quacker family that haven't yet posted today.

Love to all and Happy Thursday.

As a P.S. Do any of you know how to get rid of the new and annoying Bing Discover app or whatever it is on Edge? :thanks:

@dazedx3 One small step at a time. Special occasions are hard so it is nice that your sister is helping you get out of the house and keeping you company. Like you say, if it gets to be a bit much, time to go home. You are the one in control and need to take care of you.

Just stopped in to see what is going on. I am off to see Aimee for my decorating consult. It was nice to be in work and see everyone. They all agree that the bluebird at the new condo is a sign of good things. Let's hope! I am anxious and stressed about life in general right now so I am probably not thinking straight.

Have a good evening.

Extra:hug:Snowysmom, may working with Aimee help ease your mind a bit and also be a nice get together with her. I agree about the 🐦

Dad picked up our Dollar Tree and saved money at Target, too. Grateful he was able to do all that 🛍️Extra thankful to God he's been long safely home which is always what matters most. Getting cooler in here, no rain. Have a good rest of the afternoon everyone and please do stay warm!

Happy Thursday all.

I got back from quick trip late, late Tuesday night or I guess you could say early, early Wednsday morning. I flew out in terrible weather on Friday and returned to the same weather Tuesday. Both flights had some turbulence but it was a pleasant flight experience and look forward to going back soon. Had a great time visiting my sister, niece and BIL. It went by too quick so next time will be a longer visit. They took me around to all their new favorite spots and have really settled into their new area. Going from sunny San Diego to usually cold and drizzly northern Washington State has been quite the challenge for them but they already are feeling at home and loving it. We crossed the border and spent the day in Vancouver 🇨🇦 , which was fun but very busy. Like most big cities lots traffic and big crowds....we're looking forward to my next visit to do some touristy things outside the city. Possibly taking the ferry over to Victoria on Vancouver Island.

Everyone was happy to see me when I got home, especially DD and Dolly. :lovestruc And as much as I loved the visit its good to be home. I'm sitting out in the backyard enjoying the sun while Dolly is out running around.

Tried to catch up but couldn't do it.Bso sorry if I missed anything.

Hoping all is well with you all...sending love and prayers to everyone especially those that may need them.

Forgot I wanted to share this picture of the cutest little stand we came up on driving around. They had local raw honey and some other handmade items you could purchase. It was all honor system with a venmo QR code to send payment. Super cute. BIL took this pic of me while I was purchasing my items....some honey and handmade soap for our friends.

Also the Peace Arch at the border...

Welcome home, AuntieMe3:hug:Hooray for what sounds like a great trip, minus, the ✈️turbulence. 🙏Your Sister, BIL, and Niece continue to enjoy their new home. I'm grateful to God for their quick new area and state acclimation. So cool you got to spend time in Canada. A ferry ride sounds like a lot of fun! I hope you are able to do that on your next trip. Sweet Dolly:dogdance:would be a loving greeter to come home too along with, of course, your Daughter!

ETA, Such a cute stand that would be fun to check out indeed. Thank you for taking us to it and the Peace Arch as well through wonderful photos. I love that the stand operated on the honor system, an extra reason I would enjoy supporting it and from afar , through dear you as well, do.

Get some rest and have a good rest of the day :)

We got to 65 today. Rain tonight and the chance of it tomorrow. I was out doing errands longer than expected, but Dave kept himself busy. The lights and mirror are up, all the trim is cut. I picked up the stain and polyurethane when I was out and all of those have been stained and poly'd. the door was taken outside, sanded down on both sides, and then painted. His son ran over his tile saw with a tractor and never told him. He searched for an hour this morning before going out and buying a new one. Tomorrow is trim installation and tiling starts. It's beginning to look like a bathroom!

Have a nice evening. Hugs and prayers to all that need them.

:dog:prayers continuing, Bobbiwoz and always only health to you and Tom!

Lynn, 🛁 closer to being finished:cheer2:

I had a nice surprise a little earlier when Terri called to say she was out my way. We got to chat for a few minutes which was so nice. I hadn't seen her since last year.

Have a good rest of the evening and sweet dreams to all.

Is this the thread you mentioned?
Welcome!

t was a little weird waking up to total darkness this morning. I hate the time changes.
I don't care for daylight savings time either. I prefer the regular time.

Last night we watched “A Man Called Otto” at home and enjoyed it.
Was it the foreign film or the one with Tom Hanks? I've read the book and liked it.
I found a recovery program that came with my memory card. I feel like a kid on Christmas morning getting the gift they wanted more than anything in the world.
That's great! Would love to see some of your pictures.

I am also "stubby" as I call it. 5' tall and carrying extra weight. Pants are HARD to find, you are spot on about that.
Can I join your club? I'm in the same boat. I have found some pants at Kohls but had to order them. The Kohls by me has a pitifully small plus size section.

 Dazed.

Mona, everytime I hear about another wave of weather coming onland in California I think of you. One of those waves just went through this evening here. Lots of rain, hail and wind this time.

DS received some good news today. He has a transplant date, April 24th. His donor is a 22 year old girl that lives internationally. That is all that they will tell him. I just sobbed when we got off of the phone, from relief and trepidation. I know that God will take care of him, he has blessed DS so much. As a parent, it's hard to let go when you want to take care of everything. I give my cares to the Lord.

I heard from my favorite cousin today. Our cousin, Rod, who is a blind and deaf minister preached his last sermon last Sunday. He has six months to a year to live. Cancer has entered his brain. When he passes away, he will be the first "cousin" to go. He is a year younger than me.

Big:hug:Kirby, I came back quickly before turning off the computer for the evening and saw your post. Truly God Bless Rod! I would love to hear a sermon of his if you want to share a link via PM. I'm just so very sorry, of course, about his news :'( Cast all your anxiety on him because He cares for you 1 Peter 5:7 God is absolutely and forever with you and your son. Much prayer to your son's donor and her family as well, what an amazing blessing of a gift. Thank you so much for your continuing prayers for dad and I. All was dry here today. We sure have had a deluge this year. More rain is expected possibly on Monday. We are so blessed to be safe from it. Get some good🛏️my friend.

Kirby Such good news for your DS. God will certainly be with him. As a mom you must be so relieved and so happy that your DS is in such good hands. I am sorry about your cousin. He sounds like an amazing person.

@AuntieMe3 Glad you had a nice trip.

@bobbiwoz Thinking of you and Tom. Glad Gus' tests show he is improving.

@flyingdumbo127 Nice to be able to see your friend.

Good morning. It should be warming up to 50. I am wear a lighter coat as I run around today. Aimee helped me visualize the various touches and choose a wall color that should go with everything and be easy to paint over if I decide to change colors over time. She has an eye for color and detail. I felt bad having to ask her for help as she had to wrangle the 4 kids while we talked. I tried to help out where I could but Sam wanted to get loose to try to get to the stairs and climb or just try to keep up with his siblings. I had to laugh thinking that Jeff told me once that he and Aimee have more time to help me out than Kenny. They are so busy now. When the kids get older and have their activities it will be even busier. Sometimes I second guess moving out of this area to near Kenny. I know it is my anxiety and stress talking. But, I do know it is time to do new and different as Chris would say. I will be only 45 minutes from Jeff and family. I may move back to the area if I ever get to the point where I can be here and not cry or think of all the things Chris and I did in the area and all the places we went with over 45 years in the area. Plus I know Kenny is a bit less stressed knowing I will be able to help him with things like getting the kids at the bus stop if he can't. My friends and family think I will find some peace in the new area as it is in the country and lots of green space and woods.

Have a good day.

Good morning. Rainy, drizzly, and gray are called for today, but temps near 60. Nothing else new going on yet. We plan on getting the trim installed and at least starting the tiling. If there's time, we will grout too. I am hoping for the vanity to go in tomorrow, and then the commode. Then just the little finishing touches.

@Snowysmom - No more second-guessing yourself. We all feel that the new condo will be exactly what you were looking for, and hoping for. So great that you get to pick out all the colors and finishes. Do you know how long it will be until you can move in?

@Kirby Such great news about the transplant for your son. Continued prayers

Have a great morning everyone

I'd like to just ditto all the above:love:Lynn put it all pretty succinctly!

No corned beef for us today, and I'm not wearing green. No reason other than I didn't think about it! But my new truck will be delivered to me in the next 30 minutes and it is green, so does that count????

Will have a scotch this evening with my husband in honor of our immigrant grandparents and great grandparents who trudged on over the pond from Ireland and Wales so that we could wear green and celebrate a slave brought to Ireland who brought a new God to the people there. True, a bit of a different take on it than others! Maybe we will pipe in the mass from St. Patrick's if they replay the one from this morning.

I've got some phone calls to make on behalf of a work comp claimant. Have a good morning everyone!

Happy Friday and Happy St. Patrick's Day!🍀

I'm not Irish so we don't really celebrate it but I did buy Mia a cute shamrock dress, hopefully Bailey will remember to put it on her this morning.🍀

Fell asleep last night on the couch watching the basketball game and did I sleep 😴. Slept from 7-9 and woke up b/c my neck was hurting so bad. Switched the laundry over, washed my face and went to bed watching the game that I really wanted to see. Sure enough within 15 minutes I was asleep. I slept for 12 hours last night. I guess the poor sleep I've been getting since last weekend finally caught up to me.🥱

Our big chain of chili restaurants in Cincy (Skyline Chili), is having green spaghetti today (they always do this on St. Patty's day). Unfortunately the chili goes on top of the spaghetti and since it's Friday I can't eat meat so I won't be able to get my 3-way. Maybe Jesus will give us Cincinnati Catholics a free pass for today since we are celebrating a saint.😉

Oh well, back to work on this rainy day. Have a great day!
