Good Tuesday morning🍂

Little Mia Katherine was born at 12:35 this morning 🥰. She weighs 3 lbs, 12 oz. Her color is good and she came out crying, which is a good sign. They obviously weren't able to hold her, she was whisked away to the NICU. Evan went with her. I'm headed up later this morning as is her parents (they live about 60-90 min. away). Evan and Bailey will try to get the NICU rules, I'm not sure if only parents are allowed in. Thank you for all your prayers, she isn't out of the woods yet but she looks to be impatient and doing things on her own terms. She's at the best hospital in Cincinnati for anything trauma related so I have complete confidence in the doctors & nurses there. I actually worked there for 11 years.

Lynxstch - sorry to hear about Summer, that has to be disheartening to learn that she needs to go through the procedure again.😕

AuntieMe3 - ugh! Always an ugh when it comes to a water leak.😡

Taz - good luck with the football championship! And congrats to the Phillies, wished they would have won. I'd say better luck next year but I'm not going to go against my Reds.😉

Snowysmom - hang in there today, I know it will be hard but try to keep thinking of all the fun birthdays that you two had together.

Have a great day!

Good morning all. We went from Indian Summer to Fall quickly overnight. Was 37 this morning compared to almost 67 yesterday morning..and today will only be 57 compared to the 78 we hit yesterday. If the ac hadn't been covered for the winter, I would have turned it on. It got very warm in here, even with the windows open and ceiling fans going

@footballmouse Welcome to the Dis (and Quacker family) Princess Mia!!--- Congratulations to the family on Mia Katherine's birth. Praying that she thrives and does well. They can do so much more for preemies than they used to be able to do, and I hope she is one of them!

Stepson called last night, said they might not be coming up tonight. He never knows what his older brother is going to pull, and doesn't even know if that brother can get out of work early. He had said they were planning on leaving around 5 pm,,but it's almost a 4 1/2 hour drive,,and that would be crazy to do just to say hello and turn around and drive back tomorrow. He said if they don't come tonight, that he will come up one weekend soon when he can stay longer.

No great plans for today. Have to fill out all the papers for re-enrollment in next years prescription assistance programs. Have to do each one separately, and then have the Drs fill out their portion and fax them. There are 3 for me, and 4 for Don. So it's make copies of this, copies of that, fill in figures and insurance card #'s. The girl who did all that at the hospital no longer works there,,so each Drs office has to take care of it themselves. We never had to deal with it, she always took care of it. :(

Off to pass the vaccum, make a grocery list, and change out the litter boxes for trash pick up tomorrow.

Happy Tuesday!

Luke (stepson) just called. His Mother called him and asked him to call us. The Dr's couldn't get far enough up inside Summer to blast whatever it was away. They had to put in 2 stents to dilate everything and then go back and have it all done again in about 2 weeks. Apparently she was hysterical when she woke up and heard all of that,,they had to sedate her and put her back to sleep to calm her down. When she wakes up again , they will let her go home :(
I can not imagine what she is going through. Prayers for her and family.

Wyatt's football team seems to be heading to the championship. We are all amazed by that. If he wins they go to Miami for nationals. Of course he's at urgent care because he hurt his knee Saturday so I am at Ben's wrestling practice.

Ella's volleyball team is now in first place. She's excited. She was also hot in the face 3 times today by a spiked ball. Waiting to hear how she is.
When it rains, it pours. Congratulations to both their teams for doing so well! But prayers for them both that their injuries are not serious.
Add to my stress my external hard drive with ALL of my pictures, about 120,000 is toast. I did find a company not far from me that may be able to retrieve them but the cost is $300 to $1,000. My brother says that's not a bad price for what has to be done. At least my computer is working again. It doesn't like updates.
Wow! That's a lot of pictures! I hope that it ends up not being too expensive to recover them. Computer issues are definitely not fun! My son gave me an external hard drive a couple of years ago to put my pictures on. Still haven't downloaded them all.
It will be a tough day today as it is Chris' birthday.
Thinking of you today. I pray that while there may be tears, there will be smiles too. May good memories comfort you.
I will be ignoring the news today and probably for several days to come. Too much nastiness and negativity on all sides. I try not to watch much anyway, just enough to figure out what is going on.
Me too. I early voted last week. DH did this morning.
I had to turn the AC back on on Sunday night it was so hot in the house, we were all sweating. Said “screw the electric bill” (even though I sent in $1000 last month). Can’t open the bedroom windows due to allergies and asthma here. Weather is better today, more like fall.
I turned the AC on Sunday. Even though the temps were in the upper 60's, it still got warm in the house. We don't open the windows very often for the same reasons. It will be close to 80 this week until Friday. Then it's supposed to drop back into the 40's/50's for about a week.

@footballmouse Welcome to the Dis (and Quacker family) Princess Mia!!--- Congratulations to the family on Mia Katherine's birth. Praying that she thrives and does well. They can do so much more for preemies than they used to be able to do, and I hope she is one of them!
Ditto! Mia Catherine, what a pretty name!

DD is home today. Lil Joe walked into her bedroom about 3:00 am and threw up all over her floor. We're he's been okay since. We're hoping that its a one time thing and not a virus. Instant update: He just threw up again so I guess it's a virus.

Well...I'm supposed to go with DS and wife to Houston Thursday. I hope that I can. DS wife is flying from Houston to Colorado on Friday and he could use a driver to help drive home. He gets tired so easily right now.

:grouphug:🕊️🐥❤️🙏X a TON for Snowysmom, Taz, and Lynn, all the extra and of course all my care and love to each of dear you always! God Bless Mia, Footballmouse and I welcome her to the world!

I read this scripture from Isaiah 30:15 yesterday, In repentance and rest is your salvation. In quietness and trust is your strength. My extra reminder prayer of peace and God's steadfast love and presence to you all! He loves and is with you forever. By His Grace, I sure care, too🌼

Can't even imagine AC on right now. 🌧️off and on and cool here! I'm so glad yours worked well this last weekend, dear PollyannaMom. Pea, prayers, your doctor's appointment goes well! Dad has one tomorrow morning. I go to the dentist Thursday morning. Extra hug to all! I will check back in later.

Morning all. Expecting some rainy/windy weather this week. Anyone traveling to Orlando/Jax today/tomorrow/Thursday should check their flights and plans. ⛈️🌬️

@footballmouse Congrats, and welcome to the world, little one! Such a beautiful name.

@AuntieMe3 oiy, leaks are the worst!

New tv works great. :happytv: I didn't watch my Food Network holiday shows on Sunday, so I would have something to watch tonight; I don't feel the need to watch the "he'll win; he'll win; he'll win; he's won" commentary all night long. We've already voted, but don't expect it to make a difference in our county, sadly.

Flights, hotels and car rentals set and paid for, for our trip to NE and CA in Dec/Jan to see the grandkids. :cheer2: We aren't making a lot of other plans, other than the Monster Jam show in CA and Legoland with DGS#2. The things we can do in NE will be limited depending on the weather (Omaha in December...who thought that mess up?) and the rest of the time in CA will be dependent on DD#2's work schedule/DGS school schedule. Only needing a hotel and car in NE, as we will stay at DD#2's in CA, and can use either her car or DSoIL's if needed. DSoIL will set us up with temporary access passes to the base while we're there.

Sadly, no powerball win here for Monday's drawing; got two number on two separate lines. :sad1:

Going to go finish cleaning house, joy joy. One more load of towels to do, and tomorrow bedding. Such exciting times. Have a good day

@footballmouse Congrats on the new grandbaby. The name is lovely. Sending prayers for good news and good health for Mia.

DS Jeff is feeling better today. He does think it was the migraine making him feel bad. I am going by later in the afternoon to bring over the cake. I will take one piece and they can devour the rest. DGS Luke is feeling better now too. Hopefully the other 3 do not get sick.

Every time I get an email from the condo admin it just makes me mad. Now some resident has insulted a couple of the workers who work for the management company. We got an email saying there is a code of conduct and people will be fined if they don't follow it. I feel like I am back in Junior High when they have to tell people to play well with others. It is one person who did this so they really need to be sure this person understands being nice. It is one more reason why I am glad to be leaving next year. Unfortunately there are people living here who do not have anything else to do but make everything their business. I keep saying, What is wrong with people. Just be nice. It is easy.

Off for another walk in the brisk air. I like it right now.

I am so angry at my sister in law and niece right now. They have had Covid since last Monday. Wednesday they got a Walmart pick up order. Then on the way home decided to stop at a local restaurant and get soup to go. The place was very busy, so noone could take the order out to them. So Niece goes IN to get it???? WHT..so she subjected everyone at the take out counter to it. Then today she just told me that they had another Walmart pick up order, and on the way home, decided to stop and vote??? They both took tests this morning and both still show as positive. I literally yelled at them, for subjecting people to Covid for their own stupidity. How can anyone be so reckless ?

Don called Summer this morning. She is hurting all over, wants to do nothing but sleep. they were supposed to redo the surgery in 2 weeks, called her this morning and told her she's scheduled for Dec 15'th? So she will have stents and not be able to move around much for the holidays. She is not happy, and I think she's really getting depressed. I wish she would tell her PCP this so they could get something for her to help

On the good side of today. I thoroughly cleaned the computer room , top to bottom. Took books off shelves and dusted them. Rearranged them. Did the same with the 2 book cases that I keep my Disney beanie babies, Don's Minion stuff, and my Pooh stuff on. Filled a trash bag with stuff we no longer need, use , or want. Looks so nice and clean in here now

Have a nice afternoon

Voted this morning. Bought DH a new recliner, he spends so much time sitting now and hopefully this will be more comfortable. Have not brought it in from our vehicle yet, I may need help.
Went to a local store and bought 9 pds. of ground chuck at $2.99 a pound, not bad these days.
Welcome baby Mia! Such a pretty name!

Lynn, I don't blame you for being mad at them! Just that scenario was one of the reasons I voted early - in case I got covid and couldn't go out on election day.

I like that you turned your negative energy to organizing, though. I do that too!

I'm currently out with the cat - yesterday in shorts and a T-shirt, today in a jacket and gloves... Gotta love New England!! 😆

We also voted early, by mail, just in case

She just told me her reasoning behind it was that --early voting was last week, when they already had covid. That she doesn't trust voting by mail. And that she would have felt she missed having her say. I told her that was NOT logical thinking, or a reason to subject all the other voters in that firehouse by going in there with Covid. Dumb, Dumb, Dumb!

Hooray for no cavities, Maple Moose!:hug:That is always cause for extra :cheer2: indeed!

Enjoy your new 📺with some fun shows, B&B! I went to Legoland once and enjoyed it. Prayers you enjoy a wonderful, safe, and fun trip with your grandson. Please let me know one day, God-willing, when this pandemic has ended if you come back out here to CA. I would sure love to meet you, my friend.

Big extra :grouphug:, Snowysmom and feel better prayers for Jeff and Luke! Stay well prayers, of course, for you and the rest of your family. Unkindness is sad always. Thank you extra for being the kind light to so many that you are!

:grouphug:Lynn and take a deep breath, my friend. Sometimes how people choose to act indeed makes no sense to us. I do agree with you, of course, that the choices your SIL and niece made could have been better. Continuing prayers for Summer1 I’d enjoy seeing a picture of your beanie baby and other collections if you want to share with us.

Thank you for voting, Dazed. Continuing 🙏 for you and Kris! I am PM-ing you:hug:.

:hug:PollyannaMom and I hope you and your cat had a good walk!

:thanks:all again for voting. As I have posted, dad and I also voted early. He dropped off our ballots at a vote drop box by the library last week. Glad that got done early and will be most grateful tomorrow when this election if officially over. Chilly and breezy afternoon here! 🙏all of you are keeping cozy and well. I will check back later. Have a good rest of the afternoon/early evening.

Good afternoon Quackers.
Lots of things happening on our little thread. I'm sending so many hugs/prayers/and good thoughts to all who need them. When it rains it pours.
@footballmouse - congrats on the arrival of baby Mia. It sounds like she is a tough little cookie already.
@Snowysmom - extra thoughts with you today as you celebrate in a different way Chris' birthday.
@lynxstch - I'd be annoyed/ticked also with them knowingly exposing others to Covid. How very frustrating for Summer. I agree, she needs to talk to her PCP or someone who maybe can help move things along at a bit quicker pace.
@dazedx3 Good luck getting the chair in...be safe and don't hurt yourself.

I will be glad when all the campaigning and mud slinging is over. It makes me nuts, esp. when I am even getting spam texts all the time telling me who to vote for. Errrr I'm afraid though the presidential campaign and general hoopla with that will be starting soon enough.
I found out today that a friend of mine has been giving the news that his cancer...that's he fought twice... has returned. I'm not sure if it is the same kind as before, but I know this man has already been through the wringer and I'm not sure how much more his body can take. My brother-in-law saw him this week and said he'd lost 20 pounds in the last few months. I have not seen him for awhile, but he def. didn't have 20 pounds to lose the last time I saw him. Then I also found out that a schoolmate of mines little boy, who is 2, is also fighting cancer. This schoolmates wife just lost her dad to cancer last month. Cancer sucks and I wish it'd go take a long walk off a short pier. I know many on this thread agree.

That is all I Know at the moment. No news from the FH and TT front, which kind of makes me nervous. Kids go with him tomorrow for a few hours and then this weekend is his to see them. He did go and try to take my car of our auto insurance. Thankfully the agent didn't do it and gave me a heads up (one of the benefits of living in a very small town, our agent is also a friend and knows what is going on), so I had to go get a quote today and get that ball rolling. My brother-in-law (he is also an insurance agent and who I will be using in the future...long story why we didn't use him when I was with FH) said he's heard of people who live in large cities where the insured's are "just a name" and one spouse has gone in and taken the other spouses car off the policy without telling the spouse and then they have had an accident and/or claim and find out then they have no coverage. Ugh. Thankfully, the company we use also requires proof of coverage and a signature from me stating I know I am being removed from the policy. I'm not sure why it's not like that with every company, but it's not. Just like with our health ins. Since I am the primary policy holder the company will only talk to me and I have the "power" to drop whomever I wish from the policy with no requirements of them knowing. I'd think most companies would want to "cover their rears" and make sure all parties listed on policies know what is going on when someone is dropped or added. Sounds like a law suite in the making.

Anyway, my oldest volunteered to make supper tonight, so I am off the hook for that. She is a great help around the house and with cooking. My other daughter has dance and she always get to eat out with my sister after...my sister graciously takes her for me...nothing fancy but always a nice treat for my daughter.

Take care all.

Always good to see you Frog:grouphug: Cancer absolutely stinks all-around. Speaking of which, if any of you would like a Cancer Support Bookmark please PM me know and I will send it to you. These are a great reminder, encourager, of faith that no matter what in all storms of life God loves and is with us and Cancer does not define anyone affected by it! We are all so much more than any disease. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. (Psalm 139:14 NKJV) Extra❤️to each of you.

::MickeyMosafe fun continuing prayers Maple Moose. Glad you enjoyed some Sunday ice cream! Great way to spend an off day! :)

Hello all from rainy Disney!!! We are managing and having a lot of fun but with Nicole impending and us staying at Fort Wilderness, their campground, we are on high alert of the potential need to be evacuated from this resort. We were notified to be alert last night and once again today, so we took down our Christmas decor and any outdoor furniture but now we just play the waiting game. Went to Universal yesterday and it was pretty empty, due to all the rain but we had fun and are just making the best of it. We are here until Mid December, so we don't really have the option to just turn around and go home as some people in the campground do.
We were told that tomorrow they should have more information for us.
The guy agreed with me, and removed both of the charges.
Good thing! That is terrible to bill you for that, but I am not surprised, they have enough people that will pay without confrontation and because of that, they make a lot of money, so they would rather do that and then take it off the bills of people that do in fact call.
We're spending a lot of time outside this weekend and taking advantage of the unseasonably warm weather in our area. Lots of leaves to clean up in the yard. We'll be grilling for dinner.
Beautiful weather that beckons you outside is always the best, it's such a peaceful feeling!
It was 4 figures. The customer must have asked how much for just the tires and repair and it was almost $1000. Prices really are getting out of hand.
Ughhh...this is so true! Before long hauls in the RV, we like to get new tires on our truck and this last one just cost us over 800.00. Our Oil Change was 90.00 and when we arrived, we needed the bearings changed at just around 600.00....definitely a pain!!
Any time change always throws me off some for a couple days at least.
YESSSS, feeling the exact same way! On Sunday we usually keep it low key, we made it a no park day and just had late resrvations (10:40pm) at BEACHES for ice cream! LOL
In the past 2 years so much has been happening, I am so tired. My niece, my husband, my brother law and myself have all been diagnosed with cancer. My sister and Kris’s sister passed away. My sister left two adult disabled individuals who have been very difficult to deal with. Our future SIL‘s father passed. It is just too much! And all took place in the midst of the pandemic.
Oh I am sooo sorry for all of this, it really seems to all pile on at once, How sad..
