PVB Tower Charts, Sales Date and more!!!

I guess I'm old and stuck on Disney's fake 70's Polynesian vibe vs more modern times - that's OK, I'll own it. But I'm a Lapu Lapu, Backscatcher, Painkiller, etc tiki drink type of person. Give me Tambu Lounge or the Barefoot Pool Bar. If I'm going to take the sugar/calorie hit, at least pack a punch. And I like the appeal of unique drinks you generally can only find in tiki or beach bar type settings.

Wailulu reads more like the cocktail menu at a modern trendy restaurant... a Mule, an Old Fashioned, an Espresso Martini, a Margarita... not a ton of rum drinks to be found. Out of these I've had the Mule, Espresso Martini, and Margarita and they were all pretty small, measured to exact proportions, and not repeatable, in my humble opinion. Lots of sugar - they all needed more alcohol/kick to take the edge off the sweetness and other various flavors (looking at you Cinnamon Syrup in the margarita...).

Granted, I did not ask for any off menu drinks (wanted to try the menu items without modification) - I'm assuming they can make other things.

Going to need to keep going back to hone in on something I like here.

That’s disappointing to hear. My wife and I don’t really drink when not on vacation. One thing we’ve found we could set our watch to though is Disney’s cocktails, expensive as they are, usually being good and definitely not skimping on the alcohol.

Here’s hoping they dial that part in, but I agree that menu looks disappointing!

I had the Gin Mule and actually enjoyed it. Truth be told, the color of it scared me a bit but it ended up .

We are staying in a duo studio tonight and I love it.

We have never been fans of the longhouse storage (drawer on each side under the bed). Not a fan of using the Murphy bed table for clothes. In the tower, I think there were 3 good size drawers under the TV. Then, there was also the closet. An additional feature was a small section near the table to put shoes.
In our case, it was just the two of us so we aren’t good judges of space needed for 4. (We also had a dedicated studio so it may be different for a lockoff studio).

I too would have loved to have seen some more traditional Hawaiian/tiki style drinks, but i don't hate everything about this menu. Overall I'm very interested in trying the banana old fashioned and the mai tai, and for what it's worth I'll never be upset about a really good espresso martini on any menu.

We just stayed in a tower studio for 4 nights with those exact demographics and found we had plenty of room. There are 3 good sized drawers, a spot for a carryon suitcase next to the banquette, a closet, and plenty of bathroom storage. The counter under the TV is huge and there is a shelf near the balcony door that we used for sunscreen, sunglasses, and MagicBands

I was very impressed with the kitchenette storage. We typically get a big grocery delivery but struggle with storing everything (except in BLT studios). We had plenty of room to get things in cabinets and off the counter.

I was lucky enough to spend New Years Eve at Poly Tower in a Deluxe Studio Resort View on the 4th floor, and New years Day at Grand Flo. I really liked the tower! I was surprised how few people used the pocket gardens. My main complaint was the magic band readers in the elevators were mounted so lo I had to bend down to scan my magic band. Instead of posting a detailed review I thought I share my pics from the property for your reference and enjoyment. All the best.

I love all the texture that elevates this resort above many others! The BLT refurb seems so flat and phoned in
(let's throw up a few colorful pictures and just leave the walls plain) compared to this room.

We had a room facing the monorail and it was magic. The twin toddlers were mesmerized and kept calling out the colors as they passed by. “Blue train” “green train” it was free entertainment that kept them busy the whole weekend. We were able to have a cup of coffee and a conversation like normal adults. When it was time for fireworks we put them in their pajamas and took the elevator to the lounge, easy breezy. Getting to Epcot we just walked over to TTC and hopped in the monorail. At Wailulu we sat in one of the booths outside and nobody even noticed them. For us, it just felt very comfortable and like we weren’t constantly “managing” them. I have two use years, so I can buy two sets of one time use points. One of my contracts has membership magic so they are BOGO. I’m going to hold off on buying more points, but if that were to change in the future I’d definitely add more poly.

It was full, and everyone was lovely when we were there, BUT not every seat in there has a perfect view. Because of the angle of the building, the seats on the left hand side have a partially obstructed view. I’d get there at least 15 minutes early if that’s important to you.
