PVB Tower Charts, Sales Date and more!!!

25 points is the minimum I noticed. That was the minimum before but I thought when they did BPK they had upped VGF to a 50 point minimum.

Additional information to consider:

Minimum Point add on is: 25 points for cash purchase,

Interesting. I have a chunk of resale points, none direct. How much is close costs on a small direct cash contract?

A couple questions/answers from my guide:

Q. Fixed Week in a Villa: Does that guarantee a Tower Villa? A. It does guarantee that particular type of room during the particular week you pick. You can also opt out of that week and we give you your points to use at any other time of the year.

Q. Does buying in now guarantee any priority vs other Poly owners (without a fixed week)? A. No it does not.

I also found out that no promotional info will be announced until October 1.

Did you ask which UYs will get 2024 points? It seems like we have reports of June, Sept, and October. That would imply Aug and Dec UY as well…wondering about Feb to April.

Just spoke with my Guide....she said that they will be selling Feb UY to start so those who are already members will get 2024 points, but will not be able to use them until the resort opens. No information on Incentives yet.
Feb appears to be a go so that would be all of them.

Just sent a follow up to my guide asking if there are any UY's that do not qualify for 2024 points. Hopefully, that will answer the question for everybody.

I thought I'd share one of my comparison tables. This is for season 2, though if anybody desperately wants to see another season let me know (it's just a parameter in my spreadsheet). I think this is all accurate.

A few notes:

  • For simplicity, I'm referring to both RIV and PVB 2-occupant units as "Duo Studio"

  • Similarly, I'm lumping in all of the views between Standard and Theme Park into "Preferred" -- including Preferred, Lake, Boardwalk, Savanna, etc.

  • "Special" includes the CCV Cabins, SSR Treehouses, and PVB Bungalows

  • I know that I was one of the people who kept insisting that the PVB point chart would be eye-wateringly expensive, but WOW is that a doozy.

another question... Fixed Week is Saturday to Friday? or Sunday to Saturday?
Sunday evening to following Sunday morning.

I can't put my hands on the exact date chart right now. But Week 1 is always the first Sunday of the calendar year. Then count forward. If you buy Week 16, check in day would be the 16th Sunday of each year.

I have a Dec UY, so I assume I could get 2023 points but it doesn’t open until my 2024 UY has started, erm, so maybe not?!? my head hurts!
No because the units did not open for occupancy until the 2024 calendar year, so 2024 is the first set of points for everyone.

Your dues for 2024 will be prorated from the 17th of December.

Welppppp I guess I can wait til March of 2026 to buy LOL. Thanks DVC!
Someone above said that FEB UY will get 2024 points. If not then that a total bum deal edit scrolled farther and see that it was said again said and you probably saw it

My guide said they are opening with Feb UY on sale so all will get 2024 points, but cannot use them until after the resort opens

We usually travel in season 6 any chance on that one?

Oh my...Now I'm glad I bought at BLT. The number of points required for theme park view are about 30% more than what I'm used to using at BLT.
True and I would not book either one as I'd rather extend my stay with a cheaper view however the PIT view would be superior imo sipping coffee first thing in the morning with the water vs overlooking the parking lot.

Yeah it took 3 or 4 times looking into DVC before I found out about resale and pulled the trigger. The first few times I saw the up front sticker price and immediately stopped looking. A couple of Disney deluxe cash stays later, some extra cash on hand, and a few times looking into DVC again I saw someone mention resale, and now I have a problem lol. The resale math makes it much more manageable and we have loved our last few trips and are willing to rent out either with a broker or on facebook etc if we want to skip some trips or swap.
