Putting TA on obb

Is it true that you can no longer put a TA on an obb but must transfer it to the TA after you return from your cruise? If so, how do you make thst that transfer?

I just got off the Fantasy last Saturday. We were able to put our current TA on our obb. The woman even asked us if we wanted to keep the TA listed on. I'm not sure how it would work if I wanted a different one or if I hadn't had one already.

While onboard, you are only able to assign the same TA that you are using for the current cruise, if you are using one. If you did not book the cruise you are on through a TA, or you want to switch to a different one, then you have to transfer the reservation after you get home. It did not use to be this way, but when I was onboard in November this was the case. I was surprised by the change so I asked a lot of questions and this is how it was explained to me.

Thanks for the information. We do not have a TA on our current cruise reservation but want to put one on our next reservation which we plan oń doing on board. Does anyone know how to do the transfer after the fact? Do we contact the TA and she does it? Or do we do it ourselves with Disney?

You contact DCL and they send you a form. You then have to send the form to your TA. It's not instant. It does take sometime. You have x amount of days to do so.

When I transferred mine to Dreams Unlimited, they (DU) sent me a form to fill out & return to my agent. I had 30 days to do it.

Probably easier to get it from the TA. They have to enter some information as well.
