My 10-day forecast shows us not getting out of the 50's! I guess that's it for us.
Well, tan & tank tops it was nice knowing ya. See ya next year when I blind everyone with my pearly whites, and I don't mean my teeth!

To me, that's warm enough for shorts :)

I'm soooo glad it's cooler. I suffer through the summer every year.

cant put the shorts away yet.. we are going to Disney in 3 weeks!

It is cooling off here in TN and I love it. However, it is cold in the morning outside in my shower!! I am bound and determined to use it through Oct. though!
That is the worst part about leaving TN in Oct. to visit the beach or Mickey Mouse. The weather here is gorgeous and cooler. Oh well, the Mouse is worth it! ;)

I would love to have temps in the 50's!! We've been hovering around 97 for 2 weeks now and I've had it!! I'm so done with hot weather. Can't wait for fall and winter- my favorite parts of the year!

My DH wears shorts year round, and it gets COLD here in upstate NY. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I'll keep the shorts out for a bit longer because sometimes we get ery warm days in October.

These shorts and flip flops aren't leaving my feet until the snow falls and even then I will only give into real shoes and pants when I am outside! DS and I both wore flip flops when we went out to dinner tonight and we both decided we aren't ready for the cold weather yet, so we aren't giving them up without a fight!

I just put the flannel sheets on the bed tonight. Tired of going to bed on cold sheets. Brrrr. Woke up a few mornings already to the sound of the heat coming on. Toooooo early for that. Turned it off to save $. I've been wearing a fleece & slippers in the house.

Its currently 44 degrees outside right now.

Once we've got the pellet stove going & we are into heating season, THEN it will be back to bare feet, shorts & tank top in the house!

What do mean put shorts away. It's not November yet that how put on pants. It's shorts whether until turn cold here TN.

I barely use a coat. I almost don't what coat is.

I'm from NH and I can not give up my short sleeved shirts and sandals yet. I am not ready for another cold winter. Maybe it's time I start thinking about moving to Orlando! :thumbsup2

Shorts are a year round item here. We will get a few cold mornings in the middle of winter but shorts, and flip flops can always be worn. I'm originally from MA and the cold weather is the one thing I don't miss!!

We had frost yesterday--light, not a killing frost which would be nice for the allergies. We are supposed to have rain all week, which is VERY good. We need a good soaking before everything goes dormant.

It's going to be in the 60's to low 70's here. :thumbsup2

Still, today I plan on going through the kids' clothes and putting their VERY summery stuff ASIDE (not away). We're taking them to Turks and Caicos next month so instead of putting them away, I'm sticking them right in the suitcase. ;)

Yep. I'm doing that today as well.
Got all the sweaters and fleeces out of the cedar chest yesterday. Will put all the summer clothes into the cedar chest today and then stock the closet with the warm stuff.

And this is a job I hate!

One of my former work supervisors was a single woman who bought a beautiful condo with a master suite with TWO walk-in closets. One held her summer stuff, one held her winter stuff. She never had to change her closets. She just had to change which one she went into.

Did I have closet envy!!!!!!!!:worship:

My shorts never get put away. There may be a few days here and there I'll wear long pants, but only a few.

Yeah, and it's supposed to be 84 here tomorrow. I'm more than ready for Fall.

We get a few days of colder weather here in Louisiana. And it doesn't matter how cold it gets in Arkansas - my pushing 90 year old father has the heat on 85 minimum. Shorts and flipflops are survival gear in a house that hot.

I hate that job. Gladly, we don't need to do it anymore however. A few years ago, we raised the rods in the closet & added another rod below it for double the rod space now. And when we replaced our bedroom furniture, we bought a bed with drawers underneath, a larger / taller dresser for DH and I get the bureau to myself now. For a while, we even had empty drawers! No more box of season clothes in the closets. :goodvibes
