Traveling to Disneyland Paris for one day at the beginning of May...I noticed that there is a discount on tickets if purchased prior to March 28, so we were looking to get the 1 day-2 park ticket. I just wanted to verify the ticketing process (this is our first trip to Europe and we feel the need to double check everything...ha!).

If I purchase the tickets online (using the link, perhaps, in the Disboards frequently asked questions post at the top of this board), are they sent via e-mail? Do we pick them up at DLP with a confirmation code? We'll actually be staying onsite as we're DVC members and are using the Hotel New York as our home base for the Paris leg of the trip (yes, we know it'll be a bit far from everything, but it's a moneysaver), so would we pick them up at the front desk?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, if anyone has any one-day touring tips, I'd gladly accept recommendations. We're a party of all adults, so we can skip some of the basic things, but our initial thoughts were to head into DLP during early entry and take on the open options there, then skip over to the Studios and check out Crush's Coaster and Animagique and Cinemagique before heading back to DLP for the day.

I don't know where you are seeing a discount on tickets purchased before the 28th of March for use in May :confused3 if you have a link it would be interesting

Ticket prices change on the 29th of March and cover the season upto the 7th of November 2012.

So normally the prices you would be looking at would be that seasons

If you buy the tickets on line from one of the sites( Fnac, Carrefour, Ticketnet etc) you can pay 50cts extra and print them out at home as etickets which you then use as you would a paper ticket scanning them to get into the park and then again at the FP machines.

You could also have them sent to you but it seems a bit redundant to pay postage versus printing them off.

hth :goodvibes

I'm guessing that he is looking at the US DLP site:
https://www.booktickets.disneylandp...=0&mauid=1203OU20NOKFBEBSFEM03&camid=Emailing

For the "Magic Ticket", it says "Prices valid from 8th November 2011 until 28th March 2012." The "more information" link says, "•The Magic Ticket is valid :
1 day _ within a 6 months period_ from 1 day after purchase" I would understand that to mean that as long as it is purchased by 28 March, he can use it any day within the next six months. Does that seem correct? I was wondering about this as well, as I was looking at buying tickets today to go next week (unless we spring for the APs ;) )

RyMickey, I bought tickets through the US DLP site last June, and they did send it by email to be printed out. The e-tickets had a barcode that was scanned at the turnstiles and at the fastpass machines. FYI, they do tell you to print it on A4 (European) paper as opposed to American "letter" size paper. I don't know if it would really make a difference in how the bar code printed. :confused3 I didn't want to take any chances so I used A4.

Yes, PlutoFan, that is where I was looking.

And CarrieCat -- I just want to make sure I'm understanding...if you get a paper ticket, those can be scanned at FastPass machines? I hadn't even thought about the fact that I wouldn't have a "ticket" to put into the machines, but it sounds like DLP's FastPass machines are different than US FastPass machines...

Thanks Pluto Fan as I wouldn't have known where to look :goodvibes

Ok, well those tickets are dearer than the Francilien ones as it converts to 61€ for a 1 day/2 park ^^ but if you want to pay in USD say for ease I can see the pros in getting them :)

The FP machines can either be used by swiping your ticket or by reading the barcode that is on your e-ticket.

If it gets too creased or anything there's always a CM on hand to get you a FP

If ever you wanted to buy a Francilien ticket the easiest place to get one is from the Fnac site

Very easy to set up an account and print off at home :)
