Is it difficult to make an original purchase over the phone? We are interested in BCV but wont be there until summer. When that sells out (is it soon?) what will they offer potential DVCers?

not problem - you can call my guide Judy Kaufman - she is very good and if your state allows it she will send you the stuff

Hello Carlnne,

We're in the process of buying right now. We live in California and won't be at WDW until April. So we decided to go ahead and buy it now over the phone. We called the main number and then they transfered us to Byron Helgeson (our DVC Guide). He's been really helpful. He told us that about something like 80 % of purchases are done (over the phone / mail). It's pretty easy. He faxed us primary info about financing and point charts for this year. In 2 days, we had the book and video that explained more and listed the other resorts with point charts. Then the next day we received our box with the paperwork and thank you gift. Over all, it's been super easy. I just can't wait til we're official.

Good luck,
~Noelle

My guide was Randy Krueger. He was great! I initially called just for info, not ready to purchase quite yet and he sent me all the info I requested and then some! A couple months later I was ready to purchase and it went so quick/smoothly I was amazed! We are/were very happy with our purchase and our Guide.:D :D

My entire purchase was done over the phone last October.

Jim McCoy, my Vacation Club Guide, was great. I have been to WDW many times but had never taken the DVC tour. I just decided that I wanted to be a part of the DVC. I phoned and worked with Jim the whole time.

I closed in November of 2002 and received my deed last week. It was all so smooth and Jim was very patient with ALL my questions. I would talk to him. Hang up. Write down about a dozen questions, then call him back. I really felt good about the whole deal.

I am now a happy DVC'er at the BCV and am so excited about being there this upcoming November. My DH and I will celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary at HH in June, thanks to DVC.

Here is a number for the DVC - 1-800-800-9800.

Go ahead and take the plunge!

My whole DVC purchase was handled over the phone by Celeste. She did a great job and I would work with her again in a heartbeat! I was shocked at how fast and easy everything fell into place. Once BCV sells out Saratoga Springs sales will begin.

Our DVC guide is Marc Turner. He is very professional, and returns calls. He did our 200 pt VB puchase over the phone.;) We put it on a credit card for FF miles(paid it off when bill came).

I bought over the phone, a friend recommended her guide (Bruce Ladd, who is no longer with DVC). I knew all about DVC, I had stayed with my friend at OKW, she had lent me all her books, so it was just a matter of putting my order in. Since I was financing through private sources, he gave me the idea to put it on a credit card with points. I used my AOL Visa and got 6 months free AOL. Since I knew what I wanted, it only took about 15 minutes. The papers came fed-ex, I read them over, filled them out and returned. It was very easy. I recently was looking for something in the paperwork and found that I had signed the papers 9-11-99, that date jumped out.

I did things backwards. We already had a trip planned for December 99 staying at Dixie Landings with a good rate, so we kept it. I then met Bruce and did the DVC tour at BWV!

I purchased via the phone - never having seen BCV actually, lol. My guide is/was Robin and she was great. I even closed two weeks earlier than was anticipated which was fine with me. :)

Back in 99, we took the tour while we were down in WDW for a wedding staying at the All Star Sports.

Our guide, Ricardo, took us on a tour, but my wife and I did not decide to buy at time.. We got home a few weeks later, and changed our minds...

So I called Ricardo back up, and he Fed Ex'ed the paperwork.. It was all pretty painless..

The worst part was just finding a notary...

We Fed Ex'ed everything back, and were all set... It all went really smooth...

I've used Ricardo a few times now, and I'd definately recommend him again...

We took a tour in Feb 92 and didn't commit and then in Aug. my DH said I want to purchase DVC for your birthday (yeah right!!)...so we did over the phone. Kimble was our DVC guide, I think he's gone but he was great. He was in the DVC ad posters on the buses for a couple of years...our kids were thrilled to see his picture.

We stayed with family in a DVC resort in 98/99. We didn't really understand the whole concept, but DH's uncle answered a lot of our questions. When the time came to buy, we called the number and all the papers were Fed Exed to us. A few more conversations with our guide Linda, and we were on are way. We had already rented a house of site for that year's trip, but we decided on the drive down to arrive a day early and got a room over the phone at OKW when we were somewhere in North Carolina. We never took the official tour. We went over to the VWL that first day and introduced ourselves as owners who bought site unseen. The DVC person let us into the model so we could see what our home was like. Needless to say we were blown away and have NEVER regretted the purchase.

My DW and I just bought at BCV's last October. We toured in '99
and when I called, they looked up our guide ( Ron Allen ) who is still there, connected us with him. After several phone calls back and forth answering questions, we okayed a down payment right then and there. Ron even got us our first reservations home that day. You should not have any problems buying DVC over the phone. Good luck.
