I love credit cards so much! v7.0 - 2025 (see first page for add'l details)

Are you against boats? Because you get a good view from the free Staten Island ferry. Just don’t fall for the people outside trying to sell tours Just go inside and take the free ferry.
I just feel like after a 3 hour plane ride and then another hour long drive I won’t want to get on the ferry. I thought maybe seeing it from across the water might be enough. Do you think it’s too far away?

Sapphire clock. I'm seeing the rumors that the CSP 100k offer may end 5/12. What do we know about the 48 month rule? If I received my bonus say, 5/22/21, am I not eligible until 5/23 or does it work more like the Chase's 5/24 rule, where I am eligible the first of the month the card drops off?
I honestly can't determine when I met my SUB in 2021, so I am just going to apply on 5/12 if that's the end date and see what happens.

We've dragged our feet on this. We can have DH PC and then refer and re-apply...however, we'll be in Europe when we can re-apply if we PC tomorrow. Would we be able to do this if we're in Italy?

We’re staying right by the airport for our flight the next day. I wasn’t sure if it was worth the drive just to see it and then head back to the airport
Probably not.....if you are lucky he might get to see it from the plane when landing. From Gemini:
To maximize your chances of seeing the Statue of Liberty during your landing:
  • Choose the left side of the plane:
As JFK flights approach from the west, the left side provides a better view of Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty

Thanks! Maybe we’ll just plan another short trip sometime to New York to see the Statue and do other things like Central Park. We’ll probably just hang out at the hotel and get a good night sleep before our flight to London the next day

This is exactly what I'd do. The answer is always no if you don't ask.

They all got delivered and all was good!

toiletries and when i got the box I didnt see the gift cards at all. I called and while holding hubby was breaking down box for trash and they were underneath the bottom cardboard flap! no envelope or plastic baggie. Nothing just loose. lol

so they changed the language yesterday to ending soon Does this mean they got more people than they thought, or is it the same 5/12? I told 2 friends about this not sure if they did anything like my friend I tried to book 3x on business class lol.

Has anyone here been following the saga of the US Bank Smartly card? What an absolute train wreck of a product launch.
I have been following it on the discussions on bogleheads. I opened mine a few months ago, and got one for DH shortly before v1.1 terms started so he falls under the previous terms. As a 4% everywhere card (as long as you meet the requirements) it's as simple as you can get. With the new v1.1 card though, I certainly would not recommend it to anyone because the requirements to qualify for 4% are stupid now.

I've seen enough out of US Bank to know I would never trust them with my assets, even for an unlimited 4% everything card.

Any hotel recommendations for one night near JFK?
That Hyatt near there is a casino, and that TWA hotel looks cool if you're not trying to do points and miles. The other side of the same mega-complex is a casino with a HIlton I believe.. Personally, I like the Beekman andaz or Bowery on points. There really isn't anything there; I'm not into casinos.

It might be the day the transaction that put you over MSR posted. Since you don't know, applying on the last day is a good idea. Support page is still showing 5/12.
