Pumpkins, and candy, and Mickey, oh my! (TR complete!)

Seeing your pictures makes me realize how many of the decorations I really missed seeing. I didn't even notice the Donald as Jafar and Daisy as Maleficent display window. That is too cute!
Yes, it was really cute. Disney always has so many fun little touches like that throughout the park, which is nice, but there are so many it's almost impossible to see it all. Which just gives us more reason to keep going back. ;)

I think that the Roger Rabbit would be the only one we had left too. I am just not into Roger Rabbit. We waited in tha tline one time and it was a big disappointment after waiting in that line.

It feels like our trips were so long ago! I'm ready to again, well I've been ready, but now I REALLY want to go!

All your food pics are pure evil! The new menu items from Ariel's look very interesting. I'm dying for some fruit right now. I really like the nachos from WWS, that was my first time having the nachos, yum yum!

Come on Beth, show us your picture of Piglet!

Well, all good things must come to an end and our trip, sadly, is no exception.
Am I the only one who hates packing up to go home??? :sad2:
Packing FOR the vacation is fun and filled with excitement and anticipation. :yay: While packing to go home, just ummm, well, it sucks for lack of a better word. LOL

I had Ruben take the kids down to the Castaway Cove area one more time while I packed up everything and got ready to hit the road.
The drive to Vegas is pretty boring and uneventful so there's not much to report on. We stopped in Barstow for lunch at In-n-Out burger.

From there it's just a whole lotta nothing until you hit Vegas.

Well, we can't forget about the world's largest thermometer in Baker. Always a thrill. :rotfl:

Finally we were home. And the real fun begins.

It was a great trip but of course I suffered the usual withdrawals afterwards. And I am again now that I am seeing all the Christmas commercials for Disneyland. :santa:

Our next family trip is planned for sometime in 2011. (Yes, you read that right. LOL) We wanted to wait until the changes to California Adventure are somewhat complete. So about two years from now we'll be back. That seems like forever, but I know I am lucky to have gone so often in the past 12 months.

Buying deluxe annual passes for a family of six was no small thing, not to mention all the hotel stays, dining, gas, etc. so I am extremely grateful to my husband  for doing that for us, especially when he's not as much of a Disney fan as I am, and probably could have used that money for something else.

My next trip is March 5-9, '09 for the Girls Only Trip. (hopefully) I'm very much looking forward to that. We have lots of fun activities planned and I'll be dining at Club 33 with some of the ladies!

Well, thank you to everyone who has been reading this TR. I hope you enjoyed it.

In closing, I leave you with this.......a photo of a washer and dryer. Why? Well, since that's what I see the most of in the days following any family trip, it just seemed appropriate. :laundy: Although mine are no where near that fancy. :rotfl:

Yeah, that line can get awfully long. I won't go on it because it just makes me ill, but the kids like it. Toon Town was closed by the time we made our way towards that section of the park. In fact, I don't think we went into Toon Town at all this trip. Oh well. No big loss for us.

I know! It seems like it's been forever. I don't know how we are going to hold off for two years!! But I'm sure we'll do other things in the meantime. I know we have talked about going Sea World, and possibly Knotts. And my MIL might be getting us APs to Universal for Christmas so I'm sure the kids will be fine.
I'll be the one going through withdrawals!! :rotfl2:

After the Thanksgiving holiday, fruit and water sound good to me too! LOL

And do you really think I kept my Piglet pic??? :rolleyes1

You must be the only one. I think packing up to go home is the best part of the trip...

Um, excuse me, I'd appreciate it if you removed the word "hopefully" from that sentence.

Beth: great trip report and I'm glad I was a little part of that magical trip!

We go on it when there's no wait. A couple of years ago, we got in line when it was a little long. Then the ride had a problem and we were stuck in line, making me claustrophobic. Then, there were soda bottles filled w/ yellow liquid left along the way (apparently, other people were stuck in line too). It was nasty. I do like the ride, though. Those toons crack me up.

Wah! I hate the end of trips, and the end of trip reports. Funny you put the washer and dryer on there. In the secret green club, :laundy: is code for :drinking1 .

Glad you had your dream trip for the end of the APs. :)

Awww... the end! I'm glad it ended as happily as it began though! What a great trip. Time to relax and smell the roses. And now you no longer have to dream of dream FP, for you have lived that dream! :cloud9:

So cool!

About that treat counter... :double drool:! Those ghost pretzel rods were SO cute! I am so going to have a bigger treat/meal budget next time I go to DL. I was trained as a kid to not eat there (too expensive, avoid at all costs). But I'm gonna get me some treats next time, dog-gone it! Especially breakfast at Carnation Cafe... problem is, I'm a one-day person. It's hard to waste precious morning hours eating. We'll see.

So glad you are going back. I look forward to your TR. You are already in double digits!

Thanks for making another great TR to read. :goodvibes

Beth.........I am :sad2: that your trip report is over, but I am happy that your last day was so magical.
Thanks for letting us tag along on your Halloween trippie.
I loved all your photos of the Halloween details.
Make sure to let me know when you start your pre-trippie/trippie for your girls only trip!!!! I HAVE to read about Club 33.

I can't believe I will be in California in 6 days!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, AND Club 33!!!! I am so super excited. One of the ladies going on the trip this
year (:worship: Heather/LittleBlackRaincloud) knows someone who is a member, and she was able to get a reservation for a small group to eat Sunday brunch there.

Oh take lots of pictures

Am I the only one who hates packing up to go home??? :sad2:

I usually cry at the counter checking out

Two years seems like a long time but believe me my DH makes me wait 4-5 years in between Disney trips. We are going to WDW in Nov 2009 and the last time before that was 2004.

That treat counter looked really good. How could you just pick one?

Great TR. Sad it's ending but you always have your Girls one in March to report on right?

Ew, that is so gross about the soda bottles! :scared:

That's funny about your secret green club using the laundry smilie as a code. :rotfl:

Unfortunately for me this :laundy: just means this :laundy: . LOL

I was trained the same way as a kid! We never, ever ate in the park. We'd bring a picnic lunch and go back to the car to eat it. Even as an adult I'd eat breakfast before hand, then bring in snacks and then eat fast food on the way home.
This snacking and eating in the park has only been in the past year or so. We never even did a character meal until this past year, and then we did two fo them. Once we got started it was hard to stop! There is so much to choose from and it's all so good. LOL

I can't believe the March trip is in double digits already. I am so excited. I just hope it works out for me. Money is super tight right now, with Christmas and all. It's hard to think about another trip, even just a solo one. Hopefully it will still happen.

Thanks for all your comments! :)

Wow, you really do have to wait awhile in between trips. Which is probably a smart thing.

The treat counter had so many yummy things to choose from. Luckily for me I was limited by my budget. LOL So we went for the rice krispy treats which are one of the cheaper options.

Hopefully you'll see one from me for March. :wizard: Thanks for reading!
