Pudge Controls the Weather-A Dining Report (Updated 9/1-Bfast at EG-Closing Thoughts)

:welcome: Thanks so much for reading !!

Which meal ?? The Liberty Tree Tavern Lunch ?? Soooo yummy !!

Yup! I had the pot roast and ooey gooey toffee cake on our '09 trip! I'm not sure if I'll go for the pot roast again or something a little lighter!!

That pot roast is a little heavy, but since DH and I shared it, it wasn't too much. Very tasty !!

We ate dinner this day at Wolfgang Puck’s Express

This is the best use of counter service credits, I think. We really like the food here.

DH and I split the Bacon Wrapped Meatloaf - mashed potatoes, port wine sauce and crispy onion rings

DSC02334.jpg

I took the bacon off before I took the photo. This dish is so good. I just love the onions on it.

The kids got the usual - Crispy Chicken Tenders & French Fries

Can’t really go wrong with that. For dessert, DH and I split the cheesecake.

Very yummy. I love the crème brulee type crust it has on the top of it. this cheesecake is so creamy and good. Love it !!

And DS had a sugar cookie.

Which he took a bite out of before we got our dinner.

And DD got a brownie

These brownies are really good. DD always gets one and enjoys it very much.

Best use of three counter service credits – EVER !! So I am definitely giving this one a Mrs. Incredible rating.

We always make a point to go here every trip. We always go for dinner or lunch and I want to try it for breakfast one day.

Breakfast is AMAZING! Those pockets are big enough for 2, maybe 3!

They were so good that they started our first day tradition! We normally take the Amtrak down, so the first year we got their too early for dinner, and got the breakfast pockets. We were so impressed that our first meal every year is WPE!

We usually try to hit rope drop if we can so we just grab something that we bring from home or a muffin for breakfast. We have two rest days planned for our next trip. One day is Ohana breakfast and the other we might have to go to WPE and try that breakfast sandwich.

:welcome: Thanks so much for reading !! The chicken pita WAS good !! I would order it again. A nice change from a burger.

:welcome: Yes, the ankle really is bad. Almost 4 weeks and I can just walk short distances. And it really hurts ALL of the time.

You have to tell me about your scooter experience. I am certain I will need one since we go back in just 23 days. Did you rent from a company ?? If so, which one ?? What would you do different, if anything? I could really use your advice. :goodvibes

DH could walk from the bus stops to the park entrance so we just got our scooters at the parks. so I'm not sure how the rental companies work down there. I can tell you some people were so rude and off-put by us using the handicap entrance, if there wasn't a line he would just walk on a ride no problem. But if it was a long line and he couldn't put alot of pressure/time on the leg we certainly used handicapped access to rides/shows. He was already embarrased enough being a 26 yr old man on a motorized scooter but we just took the good with the bad (people that is!)

Did you get a GAC pass or was the presence of the scooter enough to cinvince the CM's. I am new at this scooter thing. Since it $50 a day to rent a scooter at the parks, we have reserved one from an offsite place at $133 for seven days. Which is HUGE savings.

I really hope I won't have to deal with rude people. Don't they realize that we wish we could walk as well as they can and not have to use a scooter ??

Breakfast at Fairfax Fare

DD and I stopped to get us some breakfast since we had some CS credits to burn.

DSC02385.jpg

The service here was slow. Maybe they were short handed, but they could have used an extra person helping out.

I got DD a cinnamon roll which she ended up sharing with DS because it was huge.

DSC02386.jpg

I got DH and I some egg and cheese English muffins. One with sausage and one with bacon.

DSC02387.jpg

These were actually pretty good. Also, we got some much needed coffee.

I'm going to give this an Edna rating.

This wasn't outstanding, but it was a good solid breakfast that filled us up and tasted pretty good.

Midmorning, the kids wanted some snacks so we sat while they ate their treats.

DSC02455.jpg

I'm not sure where DD got her ice cream since I was taking a bio break while DH took her to get it. But I know DS got his pretzel at that cart right by the hat.

Another Edna.

Nothing amazing, but a good snack to keep their energy up.
