Public free dining thread: What did you get, how long did you hold..etc

After an hour got POP - Sept 16-23

CM just changed the dates and added free dining to my original reservation. Advised me the confirmation number would stay the same. It seemed too easy.

Second time on hold..gave up after 20 minutes the first time with the 877 number, I didn't want to use all my minutes. I am on hold with the 477 number now (I put them in my fave five to get free airtime) and holding now for 47 minutes. I have to take the kids to school in about 30 minutes..I hope I will be done by then. I would hate to have to hang up again.

Got 3 rooms at POP September 20th -26th!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are now a Grand Gathering, and added the Pirate Fireworks cruise!!!!

You want stress?? I waited on the phone, 2 phones to be exact while trying to book online. I got our package at ASMov booked, so I hung up both phones and started on booking my mom's. Well, right when I got to the value resort screen it said that ALL the values were booked up! So there was nowhere for my mom to stay! I got back on the phone for another 35 minutes on hold and kept trying the online but everything was booked. Then, instead of picking the value resort, I let it show me ALL the hotels, when it went to the next screen, THEN I chose value, THEN I narrowed it down to ASMo. It worked!! I got her a room and connected it to our ressie!! Then I hung up. So I spent more than an hour on hold and never spoke to anyone. But I got ALL of our family booked for Sept. 20-27 with FREE dining!!!

Booked online POP 9-20 to 9-27 upgraded to deluxe dining. Can't wait!! Now I just need to call and make my ADRs.

on hold 92 minutes but got Pop Aug. 24-30. Lost our preferred room though. Will we be in for alot of walking in a standard room, to bus and good pool?

Yay! I got 2 rooms at All Star Sports Sept 13-20. Pop was 1st choice but I am thrilled that I got free dining. I was on hold 1 hr 34 min to modify and exhisting ressie.

Called at 7am sharp, no hold time at all, added FD to my existing WL reservation!!!!!!!! Made my DAY!

did you have a std view room? That's we have and I'm hoping we can add FD to that room. Our TA should be working on it for us this morning. I haven't heard yet. Thx

Waited 12 minutes on hold on the 877 number (called at 6:58am EST) and got 3 rooms at CBR with free dining 9/14-9/20

2A2C (3yr & 1yr)- 6 day Base ticket- $1664.16
2A - 6 day base - 1470.24
2A- 6 day hoppers - 1566.08

Actual call (not including wait) took 40 minutes including a connection to Dining to change some ADRs, glad I used the 877 number! Cancelled our previous reservations at Pop for 9/21-9/27.

We got Pop Century August 30th to September 13th
and
Animal Kingdom Lodge September 13th to September 20th

We had to cancel our previous reservations for same hotels and date to add the dining

Was on hold about 40 mins but total time on call was about hour and a half as there was problems with the system and not being from US trying to enter a valid postcode or something.
We just got a 1 day base ticket for each stay
Anyway I gotta go back to work had to take 2 hours off to make the calls, was worth it ha ha, when I come home I have to start trying to get all my ADR's hopefully I will get most of the ones I want Have A NICE DAY ALL
HOPE EVERYONE GETS WHAT THE ARE LOOKING FOR

Hope my confirmation e-mails come soon just so I know for definite I am going hehe I would say the emails may take a while though due to the amount of people booking.

I started trying to book online at about 6:58 (4:58 my time) and had problems with the check out screen. It kept telling me that people in my party had duplicate names or names over 28 letters I tried completely starting over and it did the same thing when I got to the check out screen (where you enter in your cc data for the deposit). I started calling the phone numbers I had and every one said "all circuts are busy" I tried for about 10 minutes. Went back to the WDW site, couldn't even get the free dining link to come up, had to use my back brower to find the link. Tried again and it told me that none of the values were available. Tried again skipping the vacation preferences link and chose POP. Got to the check out screen again- finally got through on the phone (just to be on hold) and tried one more time to pay my deposit online and it worked finally! So overall it took me about 45 minutes of fighting with the computer.

Anyway- we got:
Pop Century- Standard View (1st choice)
11 days/10 nights
2 adults/2 kids
10 day Park Hoppers
$2000.46

I read the thread that you could book online at about 6:55. I went ahead and called in case it didn't work (I hung up after I got my confirmation number- about 15 minutes). We are at POP, 3A, 1C, 9/5-9/13, $1127.20.

Wow, I just now hung up and was able to get POP for our dates (8/24 thru 9/2). I was on my cell phone for an hour and 28 minutes. I had held on my home phone for about an hour as well but had to hang that one up to get to work.

I am so excited! I took the deluxe dining for $32 per day & still got to keep POP! Had to book a room only for 8/23 but that is Ok with me!
