Now that it is getting darker sooner, there are many drivers that don't turn on their car's headlights. These cars are sometimes very hard to see because they blend in with the darkness. Please remember to turn your headlights on. :thumbsup2:

Mine are always on, day or night. I wouldn't even know how to change that!

Daytime running lights on my van - but not sufficient for when it truly gets dark..

I've never been able to figure out how someone can drive in total darkness without their headlights on and not realize it..:confused3

Timely post! I nearly pulled out in front of someone yesterday because they didn't have their lights on. It was early morning, and very gray. The sky was gray, the road was gray, the car was gray...it all blended together until the car was almost to me. Thank goodness I saw them in time; all the other cars had lights and I saw them much sooner, sometimes just as a pair of headlights in the gloom. People don't realize headlights aren't just so you can see the road, they're also so others can see YOU!

I see so many people with daylight running lights who apparently forget that they have no tailights on and drive obliviously into the dark. Also, when it snows, clear off your head and tail lights! They do no good in the dark when covered with snow.

my headlights stay on, but what i would like to say to everyone is TURN OFF YOUR BRIGHTS. it doesn't matter if i can see your car if you blind me into running off the road. i need sunglasses to drive at night between the led lights and the people who never turn off their brights (and not to mention those who feel the need to have six headlights on the front of their car!)

I will add to that - if you happen to be a group of middle school children - don't wear your black coats and lay in the middle of road - that's just stupid. Yep - dodged them on the way to the grocery store tonight

I will add to that....clear the snow off of your roof and trunk, also. I've had a "blizzard" coming at me from the car in front because the driver didn't clean snow off the vehicle.

In some places they have started issuing fines for not doing so because it has caused some very serious accidents..:thumbsup2
