I'm going October 7-12 (Sunday thru Friday). Are reservations really necessary that week? I'm interested in Blue Bayou, Jazz Kitchen, ESPN Zone, and maybe a few others. What do you think?

I think you can probably just go the day you want to eat/or the day before and make reservations for later in the day.

I would say Blue Bayou just to be on the safe side..and if you plan on doing any of the Downtown restaurants on Sunday or Friday night I would get reservations there too.

I would make them , you can always change them . Better safe then sorry especially Blue Bayou.

I always make ressies just in case. ESPN and Rainforest and others always seem to have long wait times no matter when we are there. Blue Bayou is a must for ressies! That place gets really, really busy.

We are going the 8th-11th. I made reservations at Blue Bayou for dinner and Goofy's Kitchen for breakfast. I wanted to guarantee that we had no problems with those. I would make reservations for any specific restaurant that you HAVE to go to - it can always be changed.

I would definitely make them for that week! You are going the week of Columbus Day, so it might be quite busy. If you want to ensure you get in where you want, I would do PS ressies.

Heck, I'm going mid-september, and I made PS ressies! ;)

If you want blue bayou, or rainforest, and DTD disney venues along with char dining I would say deff make them. It gets packed during the weekends with locals, and tourists.

When my mom made reservations for BB the person said that it is extremely rare to get a spot at blue blayou without a reservation.

I would make them just to be sure. I have made ours for late October for Princeses, Rainforest and Minnies.

Blue Bayou is a must for ressies. As another poster said, IF you really want to eat there, then make your ressies. Can't tell you how many times we'll take out of town guests to dinner at Goofy's Kitchen or StoryTellers on the weekends and there are guests complaining about waiting because they didn't make ressies.
