PS Recommended for AUG 26-31?

Hi All,

I'm taking my girlfriend to "The World" from AUG 26-31st. Per everything that I've read, this is on of the slower times. The only reservation that I've made was for California Grill and that was because I wanted something around the time of Wishes (sadly the best I could do was for 9:20 p.m. - after Wishes).

I know that there are a few places that I'd like to go to (Coral Reef, Si-Fi, San Angel), though would prefer not to schedule the vacation around meal reservations. I'd like to play it by ear (pun intended) and simply eat at off times if necessary.

Any thoughts?

You'll be lucky if you can find anything as of today, let alone when you get there.

The Free Dining promotion starts on August 26th and many of the sit-down restaurants have been completely booked for a while now. I hope you can find something at a decent time...

you should make some for somewhere---but you'll find most places full by now. Consider late lunch or (as you have found out) late dinners. You will have better luck at some of the hotel places. good luck. Elaine

To the OP:

I know exactly what you're talking about. In the past I've tried to make reservations for 2 meals each day, and it got to the point that everything seemed to revolve around the reservations. So this time we decided to only make one ADR per day while at the parks. With that small of a party, I think you should still be fine, if you're a bit flexible with your times, but I would suggest booking soon if you can. Here's what I booked yesterday (except Chef Mickey's, which I booked last week):

Tues., Aug. 28th - Rainforest Cafe @ Downtown Disney for 6 @ 7:00pm
Wed., Aug. 29th - Sci Fi Dine-In for 4 @ 11:00am (had to take 2 sets of 2)
Thurs., Aug. 30th - Chef Mickey's for 4 @ 7:30am
Fri., Aug. 31st - Plaza Restaurant for 4 @ 4:45pm
Sat., Sept. 1st - not at WDW
Sun., Sept. 2nd - Whispering Canyon Cafe for 6 @ 1:00pm
