Curfew on the Treasure

Can't speak to the Treasure but there was not curfew on the Magic, but most everyone was in their staterooms by 10 pm. We were on a NYE cruise New Years Eve was amusing. Big celebration in the Atrium at Midnight. Atrium empty by 12:10 am. But that is not unique to Disney, my most recent cruises on Celebrity and HAL, the public rooms were pretty much empty by 11 pm. Far cry from my first cruise 45 years ago when the night club didn't even OPEN until 1:30 am.

I don't think any cruise line has official curfew (my best guess), but I suspect if a crew member sees a minor (probably not older teens, though) wandering alone around the ship way past typical bedtime, she/he may inquire if assistance is needed.

As noted above, there is no official curfew on DCL (as far as I know). After frequent Disney cruises we sailed on Utopia of the Seas last weekend and I was surprised to see a "Junior Cruisers Curfew" in the app. For 17 and under it noted 1:00am.

Thanks for pointing that out. I am assuming it's for unaccompanied minors.

Royal has a very strict curfew of 1 AM for under 18s. Even with an adult with them.

It would be nice if ships could find some type of happy medium here. Having a venue not open until 1:30am may be a bit extreme. However, it would be nice if we could get some kind of activities between 11pm and...say...1am.

What I think the Wish proved with the "Kiss Goodnight" at midnight, since so may people come to the atrium - umm, I mean "Grand Hall" - for it. is that if the ship provided something, just anything, for people to do at that hour...they will still partake.

I do believe they have now moved the kiss good night earlier in the evening. I think midnight was too late for many DCL cruisers.

Like I posted it just seems like cruise passengers don't like staying up late anymore on all lines. Can't speak to Carnival though, LOL. All the recent fight videos, some have been at 2 am!

Very likely. We were West Coasters on an Eastern Caribbean Disney cruise, and we never turned out body clocks around for the 7 days. We had late seating dining, and were rarely out of the dining rom before 10:30 pm. We frequently were up walking the top deck until 1 am with our kids, enjoying the view and the warm breeze . Slept in until 9 am. Somehow all our excursions were 11 am or later. This was our kids second cruise, the first the year before on HAL. They were really disappointed that Disney did not have a nightly Midnight buffet. That was one of their favorite things about cruising, hitting the Midnight buffet about 12:30 am before bed.

I'm fairly certain they do/did it at 10pm and midnight. However, it's been three years since we've been on the Wish. But when we did sail on her, lots of people were out there at midnight. Plus, it's not like they need to dedicate any Cast Members to facilitate it like other activities.

There was no curfew on the Treasure recently. My 17 year old regularly returned at 1:30 AM. On the final night, it was 4:30 am. He found a solid group of friends, and on the last night, it was seriously hard to say their final goodbyes, so they just sat in the lobby talking. Thank goodness for FaceTime, this group became friends for life. A fantastic bunch of young people from all parts of the world. Never once was I concerned about what they might be up to.
