PS for lunch??

I want a little flexability to our day...has anyone benn finding that they needed PS for lunch? I'd rather leave it open.

It depends on when you're going, what restaurants you're interested in, what time of day, and what park you're at.

I know I didn't answer your question It's just impossible to say! I would say that if you're trying to walk-in to a place at MK in July when the park is full you won't be seated anytime soon. If you're going off-peak times, and you don't mind eating around 1 or 2, you might get in.

If you don't want to be tied down, try to get in someplace when you are hungry and if you have no luck, eat counter instead.

This was exactly how I felt...wanting to keep the times open. I had made one reseveration for breakfast and 2 for dinner and that was it. Then I called today just to check the availability and it was packed for lunch. I asked the CM for advice and she just suggested to make the reservation (you have nothing to loose right?) and then cancel them the day of if you change your mind. This way you have a safety net if you still decide to eat a meal there but also have the flexibility to change it too. Better be safe then sorry! Not sure what month you are going...we are going in October but think of it this way...the less buiser months Disney has things in the parks to attract people like the Food and Wine Festival in Oct AND free dining. Just a thought, good luck!!

Generally, we use PS/ADRs for dinners and the occasional character breakfasts. For lunch, we are willing to just go with counter service, so there's no need for the reservations.

Now, if you aren't ok with counter service for lunch, then it gets back to what the others have said... its going to depend on when/where. Probably best to make the reservations and then cancel if you change your mind.

Better to be safe.....make the reservations and cancel if needed. The one day I didn't make a lunch ressie and had to stand in line for CS only to find no where to sit put me in a bad mood for hours!!!!
