PS for Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue

FWIW, I've always read that seating is based on when you book it. I did it once and booked it at least a year in advance and we sat right up front by the stage.

We have gone to HDDR everytime we go to WDW. When we went at a busy time (in July) we made PS VERY early, almost two years in advance. When we went the second week of December a couple of years ago we actually made it the day before we went! I think you'll be safe making it six months in advance since you're going before the busy Christmas season. It is a great show although I don't think we'll be going anymore. After seeing it five times in ten years, it's the same show everytime and the same jokes so I think we need a break! :earboy2:

Also, we've done PS over a year in advance and had to sit upstairs and have we've done the PS the day before and sat up front. I don't know how they pick the seating but it is done before you get there and check in (so the hostess at the podium told us) :earboy2:

Our next trip is Oct 15-23. We are planning HDDR for arrival day, 5:00 p.m. show. If I call today, but don't pick up our tickets at Guest Services until a few hours ahead, what does that mean in terms of where we will be seated. This will be our first time at HDDR.

I think you will be fine. You can however pick your tickets up one week prior to your actual dinner date.

Since we will be seeing the show on arrival day. Same day pick up is our only option.

When you pick up your tickets, your table location will be printed on the ticket. As I recall the format is row row, table. So table location 014 would be row 1 table 4. And the tables are assigned in order of time of reservation. It is possible to book a day or two before the show and still get a good table due to a cancellation, but it's best not to count on this.

Good luck!

This is a stupid question but I'll ask anyway. Those of you that know me will recognize this behavior. :teeth:

Does anyone have a seating map of the Hoop Dee Doo revue?

You know, I don't think I've ever seen one!! There are a lot of tables on the main floor. Then, on the upper level, there are longish tables with stool type chairs that swivel around along the sides of the balcony. this way, you can eat and then just swivel around to watch the show. Not bad seats but I would rather have been downstairs.
