HI! I would love to have some feedback about bringing an infant to WDW. The youngest one of my kids has even been during a trip was 18 months. I am thinking about a trip the first week of December and my newest daughter should be 3 months by than (I am due in 3 weeks).

I want to take advantage of the cooler weather and the Christmas events. .. My oldest will be in 6th grade and I figure this may be the last chance to pull him out for a week before school really gets harder. I also have a 5yo in Kindergarten.

Silly questions but for a stroller do you just take your regular combo stroller and attached the car seat to it.

Any other pros and cons with bringing an infant? I was thinking hubby and I would be able to enjoy a semi quiet night out alone by leaving the two older ones at a kids club and taking the baby with us.

Hey LisaNJ25,

In December 2002, we took our 3 sons (8, 3 and 5mos). The baby was fine. The weather was a little chilly but not cold or real hot.

We took the stoller that has the car seat attached it was a blessing.

We never put our kids in the Care, but maybe that is a good idea.

Also, all of the parks have a baby center, they are great. If you nurse or bottle their is a quiet room for you to feed the baby. We used walkie talkies, so I could meet up with my DH after I was done feeding.

We also pull our kids, but I have to wait till Oct 2005 for our next trip.

Have fun.

I say go for it.... At 3 mons. all they still do is sleep eat and poop. So you should have a great time. Only... The car seat attached to the stroller is not a good position for the kids to be in for a long period of time. So you might want to bring the car seat for the plane and stuff and then use the recling posotion on the stroller for the rest of the time. or bring a front carrier.
Also with the front carrier you know that the baby is safe and you can go on a lot more rides and they won't get jossled..

Have a great trip...

At 3 months, they are pretty easy to deal with. They're happy to just be where you are, plus they are still sleeping a lot, which is nice.

If you're breastfeeding, it's great! Disney is very breastfeeding friendly. We never used the baby care centers because we didn't want to walk all the way back to them, but I had no problem feeding our little guy. There are tons of quiet benches, attractions, etc. that are great for nursing. Plus, it just makes it easier, since you don't have to worry about bottles and formula.

My biggest advice is to get a sling to take a long for times when you can't use the stroller - in lines, shops, etc. Slings are so much better for a very young baby than the front carriers.

Have fun!

we took our 3 month old last December and had a wonderful trip - I would recommend it. She was fine. we did have a carseat for our stroller, but only used it for a few days, I agree that they are better flat in the stroller for most of the time.
You can take the stroller in shops, but you will need a sling for lines and parts of Epcot. We used both a Baby Bjorn and a ring sling.

I wasn't breastfeeding and we managed bottles/formula without any problems - we just carried water in bottles and added powder as needed (using premeasured sachets).

Sit Down restaurants won't always let the stroller in, and only a few have high-chairs suitable for infants (they did have one in Crystal Palace which was brilliant) - I think we only had a problem at the Garden Grill, and we ended up holding the baby while we ate, but everywhere else we brought the stroller in ok.

I can't think of any downsides at all - have a great trip

We brought ds when he was 4 1/2 mos. and it ws great! We too brought a sling, front carrier and stroller. My son had outgrown his baby car seat though, so we didn't bring that. I breastfed my was through disney and it was never a problem - with him in the sling I'm sure no one even noticed.

I am expecting beg. of Jan and am planning a May trip.
