Hi everyone. I was told by a fellow DIS'er to post this question here. I hope I'm in the right place. I have an upcoming trip at the end of the month which is an anniversary gift for my girlfriend. Well, unknown to her, I'm going to propose when we get to MK, in front of the wishing well. I really want someone to capture the moment on film (sort of speak) while I get down on 1 knee and ask the all important question. I was wondering if anyone here knows if the photopass people are around that area? If not, do you think they would be willing to take a trip over there? I don't want her waiting too long and get suspicious if I leave to go find someone, she's pretty smart in figuring things out. Also, if anyone here has any other ideas, I can sure use the help. Thank you for taking the time. ;)

If worse comes to worse, I was going to purposely walk real slow around there till a sweeper shows up. :)

hmmm that's a tough one... I would say ask Guest Relations and see if they can do anything for you? :confused3
Or you could get closer to the area and excuse yourself to "go to the bathroom" and find a custodial cast member and see if they would be able to follow you and get video?
Or you could get one of those bendy tripods and set it up and tell her you are gonna take a picture but set it to video and get down on one knee- that's romantic!

Good Luck!! Keep us updated!

Thanks for being the 1st one to reply. :)

I was just really hoping to get some photos taken. A video would be nice but I'm not so sure the audio would come through clear. I'm open for any ideas. ;)

honestly, i would get myself into guest relations without her as soon as i could? its right by a bathroom so maybe you could excuse yourself then explain the situation? also, guest relations at the resort you stay at could maybe have ideas as well- but there are photo pass people all over main street, you could say you want some castle pics, step away and whisper to the photo pass person that you need pictures of a proposal at the well in 30 minutes, something like that. if all else fails, take her there and just ask a passer by to take your picture but then get down on the knee when they are aiming at you.... i know it seems like it will all be so obvious, but she will be so surprised!! good luck!

As it has been posted above, there has to be something that can be done at the guest services office. I would try to take care of this ASAP. Beautiful idea. I can only imagine how wonderful its going to be. I'm a photographer myself, and Im heading down there in 2 weeks, if your trip can at all be changed to the dates we will be there for, I can definitely set something up with you and meet you at a certain time.

I think I will talk to guest services. Thanks for the tip! :thumbsup2

Hi and good luck with your proposal!

Are you aware of this website on Disney engagements? Perhaps you can call one of the numbers listed and ask for assistance in advance of your trip?
http://disneyweddings.disney.go.com/engagements

This page with FAQs mentions use of Photopass - although it's not very specific.

You might also try calling Photopass directly. They also have contact info on their website.

Also, where are you staying? If you are on a concierge floor (in a deluxe hotel), I've heard they will help you plan something if needed.

Good luck!
Leah
