Very quickly, since I don't have time to acquaint myself with this thread, I will say: this crop of designers is without a, y'know, actual designer. They rank one above the other in terms of skill at construction, that's about it.

At this rate, next year it's gonna be a gang of teenagers who are about to enter design school. Along with two middle aged drones from the billing department at Calvin Klein (to, y'know, make it look diverse).

(Lordy, was I in love with that little Iranian designer, though. )

Ain't that the truth. I just cannot believe he is still there. The way he's always crying though the producers may be keeping him there for a little (and I do mean very little) drama.

I didn't like the challenge. Pretty boring stuff coming down the runway.

How many designers make it to the final?

I was wondering this, too. They keep saying one more challenge until Bryant Park, but there are 5 designers left. With only 1 elimination, that means 4 are going. Do the final four get to show in an effort to keep the final 3 a secret until it airs?

I wish carol hannah was doing the designs Irina is. I love her, she's so cute and sweet but if I'm judging by the clothes then I have to go with the ice queen

I think Irina "constructs" well but to me her clothes look one step away from trashy hoochie music video clothes. Especially the dress she made this week. i agreed with Nina on that one.

I think Irina "constructs" well but to me her clothes look one step away from trashy hoochie music video clothes. Especially the dress she made this week. i agreed with Nina on that one.

I wasn't very fond of her outfit this week, I liked the brocade pattern but I think the dress's overall design was a bit trashy looking. Althea's was my favorite and I would so wear that sweater she made over Irina's. I don't have the body anymore to pull of those pants though

It shouldn't. Last season (or was it the season before?) there were 3 women in the finals. Kenley and her "bird dress", Leann, the girl that won (she did the pettle theme in white and teal), plus the Kuto (sp??). Those 3 were head and shoulders above these girls.

I think next week will be a dbl elimination w/ Chris & Gordana leaving. The 2 blonds and the ice queen will be in the finals.

I did not like Irina's (??) dress. I thought it looked like a tablecloth.

Would they really let Chris or Gordana show at Bryant Park? I would think it would hurt PR's reputation.

I agree with the comments about Irina's dress. It didn't look very "runway" to me.

Here is the thing unless the 2 blondes and the ice queen royally blow the challenge they are a shoe in.

Let's face it, as RunningGirl said, I do not think they are going to put out the $$$$ for Chris or Gordana to do a collection.

Or they will pit Gordana against Althea/Carol Hannah for a showdown like they did last season.

That was two seasons ago (the one that Christian won). Four designers were told they were going to Bryant Park, but then Chris March and Rami (the guy who draped everything) had to put together a mini-collection of three looks to determine who actually got to show. Rami won and showed at Bryant Park, along with Christian and Jillian.

I thought that was kind of a cruel twist, and I felt so bad for Chris that he was >thisclose< to being in the final, only to have it slip away.

The top four designers ALWAYS show at Bryant Park. In the years when PR aired at the same time as NY Fashion Week, they did that to "decoy" and keep the public guessing about who was really the top 3. I'm guessing it won't be any different this season...

Yeah-but in ALL the previous seasons, the show was almost "live" when Bryant Park was being filmed and thats why they let 4 show there-so we watchin wouldnt know who the last 3 really were.

This season was filmed a year ago and was in legal battles due to network changes,

The next season is already in the can and was filmed in NYC. Supposedly the old dynamic of the show has returned since Nina and Michael can be at the runway more.

Hopefully, the newest designers will be more worthy of being on the show.

I think LA helped to ruin this show.

In an article this weekend, it showed how the ratings dropped by a third over the course of the season. Usually, it picks up steam as the season progresses.

I guess we'll see in the new season.

The talent for this show was horrible. I think Nina said it best with Chris..."this looks like a student project".

I think that only reason I keep watching is Tim Gunn. I really am bored to tears with this set of designers, they are not getting consistent feedback and it shows when you see who is still standing. Frankly, they all are mediocre IMO.


I have to say that I used to go to the website and read the blogs. I just don;t like the way Lifetime sets their shows sites up also I don't bother with that either anymore.

I TOTALLY agree. Christopher and Gordana had NO CHANCE whatever they designed. Personally, I loved both their dresses. I felt their's were the best of the show. During the judges discussion, they really liked Gordana's dress. Then, they sent her home because of construction issues????? Nina had some nerve to say she didn't know who Gordana was as a designer. Well, DAHH.... you're rarely there, Nina! How would you know?!

Did you notice how they had no winner? Ireana's (or whatever her name is), looked like a cavewoman's dress. UGLY! Althea's was HORRIBLE. Poor design, BADLY constructed, horrible fabric. Carol's dress was ok. Looked like a Senior Home Ec project.

I'm ssoooo ssoooo disapointed in this show and this whole season.

Also, what horrible editing of the runway show. There were only 5 models. The whole thing took about 30 seconds. I guess "they" didn't want us to really see the dresses. Guess they FORGOT we can STOP and LOOK with DVR's.
