So sorry for your loss and so sorry to hear about your mother. Especially so close to the holidays. Glad she got her vision back that’s scary. Hope her surgery goes well.

Oh WOW ; you have had a rough ... and VERY stressful ... December! I'm so sorry. I think I might have to visit where your Dad lived ; Texas with mountains sound perfect for us. We DO have the Davis Mountains and Big Bend on our western border. As I understand, Big Bend especially, is positively beautiful but it's a LONG drive from our section of the State and way to many rattlesnakes and cacti for me to want to visit! I'm so glad you went to visit your Dad for a few days before his passing. It may have been a hard trip but it's "good for your soul"...and his...to have a little time together. As for your Mom...WOW...that was unexpected too! Two months ago, one of my friends (visiting family in Pennsylvania) had a stroke and her recovery has been rough. Her clot was in the brain so surgery was immediate. She's finally back in Texas though and enjoyed holiday festivities. A lot of work ahead for Mom; Lisa's speech was slow to return too but PT worked wonders on her and I know your Mom will work hard on that too. Keep us posted on her impending surgery and keep enjoying those growing kiddos! Been enjoying your "holiday visits" to various displays in Canada! DVC takes time, especially over the Holidays when all "work" slows down but you'll get that trip booked soon. After our visit next week we'll be homebodies for awhile. Allie graduates this May so we'll travel back to Florida for a week to 10 days then. Would love to go to Flower and Garden Festival again; want to travel down to West Palm Beach for a visit with Ed and Toni and Allie's wanted to take us up to San Augustine for ages! Hope you get a chance to book soon; you need to try to visit during the Halloween celebration since you're such a "Halloween nut"! Hugs to you and your family and best of luck to your Mom on her surgery.

For the first time I can EVER remember, I was packed and had luggage ready to go in the car by 9 PM! It's usually midnight or later! Putting some crops on the phone so should be able to check in every evening. Ready to get to the Disney Magic and praying Allie completes her goal!

It's a "female tree" but I don't think this lady is considered a "Princess".

Can't believe it...NO issues so far this morning! No fog, light traffic, almost empty parking garage, no issues at security and gate is only 2 gates down from Starbucks...and almost NO line at Starbucks!

Well we've had a pretty darn good day... no traffic getting to airport, flight on time and not full so had an empty seat between us, great driver from airport and when we got here, for the first time EVER we got an UPGRADE! Diane..we're in a Cars suite for the price of a Little Mermaid rooms! But boy am I tired! Headed to bed but here's a crop I found today:

Congratulations on you upgrade. That’s awesome. We’ve never gotten an upgrade ever. I love the Cars section. That’s where we stayed. Loved the pool in that area but was always empty.

Nice suite! It's so nice being able to spread out and best part...I don't have to listen to David snoring...I can actually get some sleep! There's a lot of walking though to get from one spot to another. We've never had an upgrade either and I even went back to front desk later to check if there was an additional charge! Just never happens! I'd still choose POP over AoA enjoying it so far. Allie, Courtney and Sydney arrive today; we'll all be at Epcot but she's got some much planned for them we probably won't see much of them. We're taking it slow and easy!
