Project Runway, season 6, official discussion thread.

I'm finally catching up. I was on vacation for a while. Plus, 10pm is to late for me, so I tape them and watch them later.

I miss NYC. LA just doesn't have the same "vibe".... I though since they were in LA, they'd be doing more "Hollywood" type designing. Asside from the red carpet dress, nothings changed.

I'd love to see them give each designer a bag with the exact same materials and tell them to design whatever they wanted. I think you'd see who has actual creativity.

The older lady with the weaving has got to stop. It can't be on every look she does. It's getting old. A designer needs to have many techniques and use them "thoughtfully".

To even the playing field, they should let the designers meet and measure their models at the start of the competition (first challange). Having Mitchells model be the only one so far off was unfair. Maybe as a twist, they should give each designer a model with new measurements that are "off" to see how well they handle it. If they are all "off" then it is fair.

I was glad to see the older black lady leave this week. I've seen nothing interesting from her.

Of all of the outfits, I thought Epperson should have won this week. At least his was different and his model wore it well. For the record, I don't enjoy Epperson and he should be auf'd very soon.

That suit made the model look like a streetwalker with no taste or style. Maybe at an industry party, it would make her stand out as a model who'd wear anything. :rotfl::confused3

It's funny that the model who was auf'd was the only one who booked a job at the model party and with Ed Hardy, nonetheless. (At least that they showed us.)

I think now they've eliminated the ones with no talent whatsoever. I'm satisfied with who's been "auffed" so far.

I agree. The order in which they're auf'd doesn't matter so much in the beginning. It matters more in the end. (I've learned that from fellow DISers. I used to get so upset with the order in which they were let go. Now, it's just a matter of them ridding themselves of the lesser talents anyway.

The top half of the winning out fit wasn't too bad. The bottom half looked like a big black diaper.
Would any of you women actually ever wear something like that?

great idea!! I would love to see that.

I got a tweet from Lifetime tv saying that tonight is the best episode of the seson!

It was like "bubble" shorts.

If this was the best episode, this is going to be a long and boring season. Sure, johnny's lie (and his insistence on clinging to said lie...WITH CAMERAS RECORDING EVERYTHING duh, was interesting) but ultimately it was just another ho-hum episode.

I liked the "feathery" dress but do think the overcoat was the best.

OMG...I about fell out of my chair when Tim Gunn said "incredulous".:lmao:

Lie aside, Johnny will not be able to continue to design under the pressure of the show. So probably good he went home.

Anyone watching the "Model Show" after? Did you see how they had to be in that outfit FOR OVER 8 HOURS!!!!:scared1:

One model said she was wearing Depends.:lmao: They were not allowed to go to the bathroom.

LOL why would they need to go to the bathroom? You're not supposed to eat much, if at all, on the day of a runway show. Then again, Abbey Lee Kershaw did faint at Alexander McQueen...

I am in love with Irina and Shirin. They need to be the final two, really.

Michael Kors was gone because this was filmed at S/S fashion week... a year ago ;) Or was it F/W 1/2 year ago? Anyways, it was filmed during one of the fashion weeks and that's probably why he couldn't be there.

I thought the trench coat was amazing... considering that it was made from paper.

Johnny psyched himself out of the game.

Why would they make the models dress 8 hours before the show knowing that they'd be dressed in paper? I thought that was weird.

I was hoping that they'd show the holiday celebration for the Isreali model in the models show.

I still don't like Fatma. She's pretty and carries herself well, but her personality is a real downer.

I was surprised with the results last night - I was sure that Louise would be gone. Given that Ra'Mon showed some creativity, and has previously won a challenge, I thought he should be given the benefit of the doubt. Louise is . . . . ehhh. I've found her to be a snoozefest this whole season.

Oh, well.

Awww...that was a good episode. Did you see Tim Gunn hug Ra'mon? He took his elimination well.

Now Fatma is gone. Most of the models are happy. They all seem catty to me.:rotfl:

As far as Louise, my guess is she is NEXT.;)

Just watched last night's episode and I have to say I am REALLY dissapointed. I think they made a very very poor decision getting rid of Ra'mon. I'll get over it but right now I am supremely disgruntled. Re'mon has more talent in his pinky finger than Louise has in her entire body.

I really thought Christopher should have won last night. I'll be glad when the guy that did win goes home. He designs mostly junk.

Amen. I suppose I should jsut come out of the closet and say that I watch this show. I HATE all reality TV, but for some reason, this one intrigues me.

I HATE the guy that won last night. He's a pompous piece of work and I can't wait for him to get offed. His designs are NOT that creative, either. I don't know their names, sorry! Ice-Queen dude, I guess, is his new name.
