Reminder: Project Runway starts tonight (7/16). (old title)

:cool1: So glad we didn't have to wait 1.5 yrs this time!!

9pm EST, BRAVO

(I don't see an official thread, so I'll change the title.)

I love that is on an hour earlier this season. I have a hard time staying up until 11 to see who gets awfed!

Thanks for the headzup. We love to watch the outrageous fashions and people. I'm going to miss Christian this season. I loved hating him during the show and I've really enjoyed his sit-com appearances!

So what did you think? That was a great first challange. (I never saw season 1's.) That lady with the garbage bags was just awful. She didn't even try, just threw stuff together. She's not going to be around long if she doesn't understand the shows dynamics.

I think she should have gone home instead of the guy. HIs design was ugly but at least it was a design. Hers was just some draped, taped bags.

It was just okay for me, dude. Oh, sorry--wrong show.;) I need coffee. I wasn't terribly impressed.

On the other hand, did they say Scarlett Austin is now the creative director at Kenneth Haan (or Kenneth Cole? Need coffee, pronto)? Last I heard, he was with a large wedding gown firm. A very nice career move for Scarlett.:thumbsup2

I totally agree... he made a LINED coat... and HE was sent home????? I totally disagreed with their choice.

I missed it last night but there is supposed to be a guy on there from just down the road in MA. Who got eliminated? (aufed?)

ITA! Seriously, I could have made a better outfit out of the garbage bags. I also hated the way she whined about her choice and she chose cheap garbage bags!

I did like the top three choices, very creative.

I know...she had $75 to spend and she buys generic garbage bags! At least go for good brand if that's your plan. It didn't look like she bought anything else to use either???

I didn't care for the other outfit that was also lowest in score but he at least put time and effort into it. I definitely think she should have gone home.

I was secretly wishing someone would make beef panties, like the ones used for the slaughterhouse photoshoot in the latest America's Next Top Model cycle.

I loved the winning dress, except the coffe filter bra cups were a little odd. Her creativity with materials was great!

Both DH and I thought for sure that garbage bag Stella was going to get the boot. Jerry's raincoat and dress might have royally sucked and made the model look like she was auditioning for a role as a "Dexterette" in the inevitable Broadway musical based on the stellar Showtime series, but at least de did more them string a few Glad Bags together.

I thought the auf'ed design looked like Tim Curry's outfit in one scene of Rocky Horror Picture Show. If you know the show/movie, you will know what I am talking about.

Stella (the almost aufed) is very Cher like. I could see where this design was going once she picked garbage bags. She should have bought a better brand if that is all she bought. Blayne with is deliciousness needs to go immediately.

I thought Joey's (the pasta oven mitt one), the yellow with the fruit were cute as well.

He's the creative director for Kenneth Pool. I thought they said Cole at first so I rewound the DVR and read the blurb under his name when he was introduced as a judge.

Isn't that the truth! I kept thinking that if she'd chosen Hefty, she wouldn't be in the same pickle and her design would have looked like black patent leather, like she said she wanted.

I hated the girlishus outfit the most and I was sure that he would be out so fast and wasn't even the bottom two. I didn't think the raincoat was pretty but it was really worked on---more effort and design than trashbag dress and better looking than the diapery hero outfit. Off to a bad start in my opinion but then they never ask me.

I completely agree. His design was hideous but he put a lot more work into it than the garbage bag... pantsuit. They were both bad but there was nothing to the garbage bags so I don't get why she stayed :confused3

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: That's exactly what I said! Rocky Horror's my favorite movie of all time and has been since I was little (which probably sounds weird ) and my mom and I both said the same thing. It was like the coat Frank wears when he unveils Rocky :lmao:

Go Brooklyn! I love the guy from Brooklyn... don't know names yet. That cup dress was cute!

I'm wondering if the designers watched Season 1. Anyone who did would have known not to choose garbage bags as their material. Or tablecloths! The challenge was innovation, and nothing was innovative about either.

I hated the garbage bag dress. She should have gone home. More than the dress, I hated how she just gave up when she realized what she had bought. If you're just gonna give up, you should be going home.

The guy who went home (Jerry)...his girl looked like a deranged butcher.

Blayne (Girlicious)...he has spent a little too long under the tanning lamps. Maybe those lamps fried his retinas and he can't really see what he's designing? I predict a short run.

I loved the dress made out of the plastic cups!! Daniel, he's gonna be in the top 3.

I really liked the plastic cup dress too. But, I loved the oven mitt/pasta one! It was so summery and fresh. :sunny:

Wesley Nault is the guy who lives not too far from here...how did he do?? (must remember to watch next week! dd9 & I love it...)
