Project Runway - Season 3 Official Thread (SPOILERS!!!)

I saw pics of the runway show, and I am shocked at how Michael's looked. NOT the Michael designs we've all known and loved. very tacky IMHO, Gold lame' swimsuit? I hope the pics I saw were just badly taken, because his line is not worthy of winning. Boohoo.

I felt Vincent should have had more time, since his original model was unavailable due to an accident. He had to alter the dress to fit the new model. Of course, he was far from winning the challenge though.

Funny how Michael advised Kayne on the fact that Kayne's original idea might be construed as too trashy. Then Jeffrey's model walks down the runway with that number. Michael advised the wrong guy ha ha.

Seriously, I do love her work and I think her dresses are lovely, but they are the same each time. I want to see what else she can do, just like I want to see what else Jeff can do.

I hope it is Michael all the way! He rocks!

Oh my God!!!! that is so funny!!!! She needs to be more creative! Everything looks the same! Michael is definately the winner! I am so sick of hearing Jeffrey say "Looking around the room, my creation is way better that anyone elses here." Does he not say that in every episode!

There was some speculation that Vincent would be in the final three because the model that he liked was introduced at the runway show. That has been cleared up.

Vincent's design was far from winning and the judges did not take off points for poor execution.

This season has been good. Season 2 with Santino was fun to watch but this has been good.

Does anyone think that Daniel V. and Chloe would be right up there in this season. Other than Michael, I do not think that any of this season's group are as strong as the best of Season 2's designers?

IMO, Daniel V. had more versatility than anyone except Michael. Chloe is about equal to Laura . Jeff reminds me of Santino. I would put Uli only slightly behind Chloe.

Season 2: Chloe, Daniel, Santino and Kara
Season 3: Michael, Laura, Uli and Jeffrey

It's close, but season 2's challenges still stand out like Daniel's orchid inspired top (Bradley's version wasn't even close) or the suit Chloe made for Nick. But then again, Santino's hideous jumpsuit he made for Kara still burns my eyes. I'm satisfied with the final four for this season and Michael is as strong as the season 2 cast. Jeffrey might be able to outperform Santino too.

Santino was "out there" but I thought his line for fashion week was fantastic. Unless Jeffrey can do a serious 180, he won't come close to outperforming Santino.

I think Jeffrey is really only capable of doing his "Rock n' Roll Chic". I would be shocked if he could do anything else.

Santino's jumpsuit may have been hideous but at least Santino did try new things. Jeffrey has that same trash look to everything he does.

Sesame Street needs to book Jeffrey for a skit with Oscar. They even look similar. They could sing "I love trash" together.

After almost a whole season I only just found this thread. I need to dis more often!

I am probably in the minority but I agree. I thought Santino's line was beautiful. But what do I know about fashion.

I'll miss Kayne. I liked his couture dress. I liked the cocktail dress. I thought he had a great personality for the show without being there just for the drama.

Uli needs to try something new. Not everyone lives in Miama.

I don't particularly dislike Laura's designs but she does need to change it up a bit.

I think Jeffrey is over the top and downright annoying at this point. His cocktail dress was hooker wear. It was ugly and cheap. His couture dress wasn't terrible. I wanted to hate it but I couldn't. I hated the fabric but he did take a huge risk with it and it didn't come out looking like a defective banana. But what was with the slit up to nowhere's land and the strips of left over fabric?

I like Michael. His designs actually vary from challange to challenge. I just like his overall ideas. I think he could prosper the most from winning and his outfits might actually sell.

I saw some real time photos of Olympus fashion week (I think it was last week or over the weekend) and there was some fab designs... I think I know who the "dummy decoy" designer is.. one collection looks really nothing like the other three.
