My picture today is of something I got in the mail (the third mail item so far and it hasn't even been a month) - a letter informing me that I am now licensed to practice in the state of Florida (meaning I passed the test I had been studying for for the past month.) So now I am one step closer to reaching my dream of moving to the land of sunshine and mouse ears.
here's what 325 dollars worth of food looks like, it doesn't go very far does it?? LOL please ignore my duct taped microwave handle, the kids hung on it til it broke. ERGH!
more canned goods and meats are in the bags:

Is the McDonald's cup included in the 325?![]()

Congrats NEE.
Does this mean you're gonna move and maybe have a guest cottage in the back yard? We could all chip in for property tax and take turns staying with you.It would be NEEVC.
that was after coupons and credit for using my own bags! I saved $30. I stopped using coupons last year but I'm back on board. I typically saved $1000 a year but last year I only saved $400 (the store keeps track of your savings) I have not how ever tallied my savings in gas. For every $100 you spend you get 10¢ off per gallon at their gas station. 2 weeks ago I paid 75¢ a gallon!!
I want to be one of those people who buys like $300 worth of groceries and pays $10.

Wow! I've done the $300 thing for $10 a few times and I'm on a high for weeks & weeks. But usually my goal is to save 60%. And if the sales are lame that week I shop at Aldi. Or if I'm sick & tired of using coupons I shop at Aldi too.
.75 per gallon is amazing. We get .30 off for every $100 we spend at our local Kroger. It was super helpful when gas was $4.00 per gallon!
I just figure the more money I save grocery shopping the more money I can spend on all my hobbies.![]()
Do you shop every week or every two weeks?
do you like Aldi?? We are getting one this summer, but it seems like a pain to shop there. no credit cards (I never carry cash), bag your own, pay to get your buggy?
I take my savings and put it in our Disney fund. Stop and Shop tallies your savings for the year. When I do carry cash I never give away pocket change so those 2 things combined typically pay for our park tickets.
