Has anyone else had problems with reservations made/requested on the member website. I recently requested a one-bedroom at BCV (I had a second choice of WLV and 2 different weeks to choose from) in January. Well they emailed me back and told me that they booked me in a studio! I didn't request a studio, I even looked the bottom of the email because it has the original message and it says one-bedroom :confused3

Can they do that? Just change the room type? I was so excited when I found out we can do reservations online but it doesn't seem to work out too well. I want to call and see what the situation is but I can't be on the phone with them forever, I am at work. There hours and my work hours just happen to be the same hours :badpc:

How do you make your reservations? Member services hours stink and the website doesn't seem to be much better :furious:

I call while I'm at work. I ALWAYS call at 9am. If I am on the phone for 5 minutes, it's alot. Ask your boss if you can take your break or lunchtime minutes to do this. :teeth:

I always call, but it's difficult to find a good time, since they're pretty much open office hours. I haven't done online because it's basically just an email request to them. If it was more like regular Disney online reservations, I would be much more likely to use it.

If you can not call them check the member website and see what the point usage area says, the studio may be a typo and in fact you may have a one bedroom booked.

If they did make a mistake and booked a studio, and you can not find a convenient time to call, email them again at members@disneyvacatonclub.com copy and paste their email (along with the quote of the original message from you) into your new message, and explain that you want a one bedroom unit, not a studio.

I am the boss :rotfl: It doesn't make it any easier to get a phone call in during the day.

As it turns out, it was a typo, I emailed them again and they finally responded. It seems to take 2 days for a response (or at least the second day, not 2 full days).

I'm just so frustrated with the members service system. Maybe someday they will have an online reservation system like the regular hotels.

I also call from work at break times. Never have I waited long.

Sent an email asking for the 3rd to the tenth and got back a confirmation for the 6 - 10th.Ended up using the phone anyway but I will try again by email again.

I called member services this morning to try for some other dates. I was on the phone for about 20-25 minutes. That may not seem like that much but only about 5-7 minutes was actual talk time.

Anyway, we did get the reservation for changed and it wasn't so bad. Of course we couldn't get the room we wanted for all the days :sad2: but we managed to split the stay between SSR and BWV, not so bad I guess.

Still waiting for DVC to improve the website for reservations...
