Problems with Crystal Palace?????

My family's favorite restaurant is the CP, not just because of the characters but because of the food. We have been there 8 or 9 times and have NEVER had a bad meal. Every time we keep going back because it never diapoints. The salad bar has one of the largest varities in disney (even though I was a bit disapointed they had no ceaser last time we went) and the actually buffet always has a nice selection (the corn bread is my favorite food in the WORLD *yummy*).

Lately I've been reading a lot of posts on here about how much people hate the CP!!!!!! I was just wondering why this is??????? Like I said we always love it so its weird to hear people say such bad things about it

We love it. We have it booked for breakfest and once for supper. This is my Dh favorite place to eat in the MK. We went in September for Breakfest and had a great Breakfest again.

Another CP lover here. Have done all three meals and usually make sure we do at least one meal there per trip. I think their lunch is my favorite of the day, but i love booking an early ADR for breakfast and getting into the park early! We were there a few times last year and have no complaints.

You read the boards long enough and you will find bad reviews on every location. People have different tastes, restaurants have bad nights. You have had great experiences there, don't let some bad reviews spoil that for you.

I know that I will read bad review for everything but today alone I've read 5 bad reviews for CP and this just really surprised me. But dont worry, nothing could spoil the CP for me.

We had a bad experience with CP but definitely figured it was just a one-time thing and are excited to try it again in May. We left with not such good feelings about the place and the overall way we were treated but everyone has bad days I guess. I do hope it is better this trip though!!

We loved CP (dinner) in September & have booked it for our next trip in a few weeks, for lunch. We had a super CM, a great table by the window & the food was very good. One of our faves. Enjoy!!!

We really enjoyed CP for breakfast. The food was good, and it was fun. The characters took awhile to make their rounds, but I think it's just because we were seated right after they passed our table! That's not a complaint, we just had poor timing.

We plan to do dinner there in May, and I'm looking forward to it.

Only been once for breakfast, and liked it a lot . DD was being a very grumpy pre-teen that day (gottal love 11/12 yr old girls!) and this yummy breakfast with Pooh and Piglet actually saved our day! How can anyone stay grumpy when Piglet gives you a hug!!

We had dinner there in Aug 08, first time in a 2 years and it was good but not as great as we remembered it...also the noise level was insane!

We did breakfast in late January and the food was incredible, so amazingly good

We have tried it twice (June 04 and Dec 06) and both times the food was not good and the service was by far the worst in any trip to Disney. Both times were dinner. I might try it for breakfast sometime, but haven't gotten up the courage.

We are going to CP for breakfast in June. We never tried CP yet and I have enjoyed other breakfast buffets at WDW. A few years back I made ADR for Chef Mickey for dinner. All I read on these boards is how terrible dinner was at Chef Mickey's. We enjoyed it very much. No issues.

My dh won't even go to Disney if I don't book CP...lol. Of course he loves Disney just as much as me, but he INSISTS that if he's paying for it, he gets to pick at least one place to eat. I think he's getting a little "uppity".

A CP breakfast is now a tradition in our family. They must do something right. There are only adults in our party - adults who can't stop the smiles before, during and after this particular meal. We find the food good and the characters and atmosphere, fun.

But, everything is subjective.

Thats the way my dad is. Even though he's 44 he has to go to the CP every trip just for the food. Hi favorite is the lima bean salad

The youngest memeber in our party is me at 14. I'm beginning to think that maybe CP is more of an adult buffet because the food is alittle different

We plan on returning this year. My DH made a special request for it. He and DD love it.
