Problems booking Fantasimc dining package for Sept/Oct

I wanted to let ya'll know my experience. At my 180 day mark I logged on to make my ARSs, which went perfectly, but I couldn't make an ADR for Fantasmic pkg at MM. The calendar for Sept and Oct is grayed out and the dates cannot be selected or searched.

I called and spoke with a CM who told me that was just becuase the ADRs are sold out. I explained that couldn't be the case as all the other sold out dates are still search-able, however, she was insistent.

I still thought they had a technical problem so I sent an email via the contact us page.

I rec'd a call yesterday from a CM in the customer feedback office. She was wonderful :love:, she verified that there is a system issue, not all the reservations has been released and said they are working on fixing it. She also got me the ARD I wanted, which was very kind of her.

So, if you're trying to book Fantasmic for that time and can't, you may want to call or shoot them an email and see if its more system issues or if they're genuinely booked up.

Thanks for posting your experience. I too had sent them an email via their contact us page but at this point (over a week later) have heard nothing back. Honestly, I'm really disappointed that they have let this problem persist for so long---it's really sloppy IMO.

I couldn't manually type the date in either because it kept switching back to that day's current date. However, from another member of the dis, I learned that you could manually type the date in but you had to do the whole thing. I was typing 9/22/11 or 9/22/2011, but you have to put in 09/22/2011 and it worked perfectly. Who would think that one zero could throw the whole thing off. So if you're looking at a September date, try typing in the whole date and don't forget the zero :goodvibes

hmmm, interesting, but the same thing is happening for any October date past 10/13 for me. Not sure what the glitch is for October. Would love any advice as I have to book my adr's in less than 12 hours.

Having the same problem. :confused3 Made the rest of my ADR's this morning but Fantasmic package giving me problems.
 
made my adrs this morning too. Did everything online except Fantasmic. Phoned up for October 23rd at MM and had no problem getting what I wanted :)

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes: Yeah, cuz modifying my dining reservation is what I was trying to do!:sad2:

I give up, I got neither the time nor the restaurant I wanted for Fantasmic, but I got something so I'm just going to quit trying to help them fix this! Although (one last time!) I do really wonder where the quality control is that this problem has persisted for over two months and shows no sign of being fixed!!
 
Well, when I spoke to the CM she said they had no idea such a problem existed. She made some calls and called me back with my reservation number for the fantasmic pkg. I did couch my email in terms of reporting a technical issue with the site, rather than making it about my dining reservation, so maybe that helped? :confused3
 
For some reason I can only book 1 person at a time. I have a party of 4, should I do this, will we sit together?

I did too, my email made no mention of dining reservations at all except to point out that no one could click on the Sept and Oct Fantasmic dates to make one (and that clearly the webiste was having an issue)! Sadly, from reading this board, it seems typical Disney that your response depends on the luck of the draw of who replies to you! They definitely know it's an issue now though, and still no fix. I imagine in a few days November dates will go up all gray too!:sad2:
 
I couldn't book it online either so I had to call in. Didn't get the time I wanted but I guess something is better than nothing to avoid having to wait in that long line like we didn't last year.
 
Had to call in this morning for my reservation and was on hold for 20 minutes (called at 6:00 a.m. my time (cst)). By the time I finally got through the only dinner ressie left was 4:00 pm. Not the time I wanted either but I took it.
 
I called today and was able to get a reservation at 3:50 p.m. Not the best time but at least it's something. :goodvibes
 
Well I made some adjustments to my big party and was able to get Hollywood & Vine for 4:30 & 4:40 after splitting up my group.

Did the CM tell you the phone number they used to book the reservation? I'm trying to link it to my disneyworld.com account to view but I can't figure out what phone number they used so it won't pull it up.

Just don't feel like calling them up again. LOL
 
For those who just booked, can you tell me what date you are having some crowds on? I'm going to try for 10/27 but I have to wait until 4/28....
